Clue #10 - WWPDP Section: "Missing Organs"

We received the following email: "If you go to Active Projects, World Wellness and Prevention Development Program, and then click on the 'world map' option at the top. (all on thehansofoundation.org site)

A map of the world then appears. If you float the mouse between Africa and North America, the mouse arrow turns to a pointing hand and you can click it (i presume this is where they supposed to have crashed). If you then float the mouse under the boxes on the left, some weird looking text appears." See the images below to see what our email friend is talking about:

Image 1
Image 2

After looking at Image 2, consider the following and pack it up as a big clue:
If you let A=1, B=2, etc.

13=M, 9=I, 19=S, 19=S, 9=I, 14=N, 7=G, 15=O, 18=R, 7=G, 1=A, 14=N, 19=MISSING ORGANS

Keep this little nugget of knowledge locked away for later....

Where did you use this as a password or username? And that is not where they crashed at...remember they were leaving Sydney going to LAX....

Yes,strange route from Sydney to LAX, but interestingly falls in the area of the Bermuda Triangle - where planes mysteriously go missing!

Does anyone know what font that is? I tried to match it with all the available fonts I have, but couldn't match it.

I can't get the numbers or any of that to show up. I get the empty box when I click on the Bermuda area but nothing else.

perhaps the Hanso Foundation has been stealing organs?

I think "Missing Organs" actually means "Missing Orangutans." The diseased orangutans could have excaped/been stolen/whatever and gotten to Tanzania to start the outbreak.

Ok...I'm not stupid. I can't believe I spelled escaped excaped. I'm totally ashamed. I need to learn to proofread.

Aw, jeez. My boyfiend is toatlly into those Myst games and the thing where you get a hot spot at the lower corner in the black and the way the green sheres move around reminds me of that. Don't suppose you have to have the spheres in a specific place to use a password do you?

Hence, he is missing an organ.
Just a thought.

Also, Oct. 28th, 1943 is supposedly when The Philadelphia Experiment took place. It was an experiment by the Navy to test Einsteins theory about electromagnetic radiation and bending light to make something invisible. Some sci-fi programs have tried to attribute this experiment to be the cause of the Bermuda Triangle.

If you enter "missing organs" as your screen name on the newsletter sign up page, the screen goes haywire and asks you if you can see a message. If you enter "yes", Persephone asks for the password. If you then enter "breaking strain", a message appears on the left saying "Welcome to Dharma" and Persephone says that you're now logged in. Within a few seconds it drops you back to the regular screen. If you enter either "breaking strain" or "missing organs" after this, you'll immediately be shown the message "No new messages, bye bye".

Oddly enough too, each time when the site fades back to its regular settings, an animation of a deranged orangutan shows up full-screen and scares the )(#*$ out of you.

On the bio for Mittelwerk, there is a little text box that appears, so I'll type something in it and it looks like it's going to do something, but it doesn't. If you enlarge that page, there is a login at the bottom, but I can't figure out how to log in. Has anyone else tried this???

You type "heirapparent" in the box..then hit enter.
There is a posting on this somewhere..but the basics are:
It will not work until you have gone to the sublymonal website, click on the monitors until they turn yellow/green ..after the code is shown, there is a link at the bottom that will take you back to the Hanso site. Then register for the newsletter (enter any name and use the password "breakingstrain")
After this, you can send joop a message and most of the other clues on the site will show up.
Some people have had to clear their temporary files in Internet Explorer after visiting the sublymonal website. You can do that in Internet Options|Temporary Internet Files|Delete Files. Don't delete the cookies.

I think that is right, and it goes well with him possibly being the "Heir Apparent" of the Widmore fortune.

About the "missing organs" thing, I noticed one thing:
on hansocareers.com, there is an ad for a job called "organ courier".
Surprisingly, the applicants should know tissue transplantation, martial arts and weapons.
Strange profile...

I think this is the same pattern that the circles appear on to click when you "send a message to joop" in joops corner. Anyone confirm this?

i think i've discovered a connection. remember the "missing organs" thing with the map? and the thing for monster.com in the phone call? well, the "jobs available" section is "powered by monster.com" and the only job available in the us/uk is an organ courier. That apparently involves transplanting organs. have a look:
