garytroupbooks and garytroup.net are the same site it seems.

Regarding the whole Gary Troup thing, I believe that the book and the videos are going to play a role in the "Experience." There's the obvious connection to Dharma and Hanso. At the least, it's an interesting tangent and "Experience" of it's own.

But since they put all this effort into WRITING AND PRODUCING this book... I'm hoping that it'll be more than that.

Maybe we'll see some pages from the missing non-fiction book. Who knows. Listening to the audio book right now.

I don't think the Bad Twin book is related to the show (storyline), but maybe will be included in the Experience(?) Not really fair if someone can't buy the book or something though..

Has anyone said anything about the Experience being totally 100% online?

I remember hearing somewhere that the Experience will be across multiple media platforms: TV, telephone, online, possibly even billboards.

I don't know if anyone else did a search on Laird Granger, the host of book talk, but the first hit on the search is a book called "The Cajun" about a guy whose parents die in a plane crash. Coincidence? Yeah, probably.

The audio excerpt
http://www.garytroup.net/excerpt.php
mentions that this is Troup's first novel after a non-fiction work on...Valenzetti.
Also that Troup had hooked up with stewardess Cindy Chandler and was on flight 315 with her.

p.s. didn't compare exactly but the free first chapter on itunes sounds the same as the excerpt on the site.

Of course it has something to do with the show.

a) Remember the TWINS on the boat with the captain at the end of Season 1's episode.

b) The boat they were on might bee seen as a ferry.

c) Obviously the "leader" who talked on the boat was a captain.

That's why it's called the Lost "experience": it will involve several different media.

Losttv-forum.com has dedicated a subforum to the game, with different teams assigned to different media:

The man pictured on the Valenzetti Foundation home page is Jonas Salk. The image at http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/page/sal0bio-1 seems to be from the same photo shoot.
