Clue #30 - Gary Troup Info (4) Displeasure with BAD TWIN

A new letter was found in the right hand "news" column on thehansofoundation.org website. Click HERE to see a letter from Hugh McIntyre to Hyperion Books. HERE is the parent directory in which the letter was contained. The letter is found in the "Paris" folder but there is also an empty (for now) folder for "London".

*Thanks to Deanna, Matt, Courtney, Robert, & Choff for noticing first.

Boy, they sure are trying to think of ways to get us to buy that book! If you don't want to pony up the cash or take the time to read. See the post above this one for a thorough summary of pertinant info or check out Clue #25 and Clue #19 . They should tell you all you need to know.

Both the Persephone & Bad Twin plotlines are revealing corruption and instability in the Hanso Foundation. Clear causes and effects have yet to be clearly articulated. We are left to continue with our best guessing...

Interesting article on the name Persephone from Greek mythology - could there be a theme here? Perhaps Persephone is the daughter of Alvar Hanso??

anyone notice that when you leave the hanso site and come back here (or another site) in the same browser that the hanso music is still playing? I'm guessing its just web techy stuff, but it's kinda creepy how it doesn't stop. I can't find the letter posted on the hanso site, either.

I can't help noticing the formating of the letter. Why have words breaking at the end of a line? Perhaps there is a hidden message in all of these releases based on their formating?

Also, there seems to be a couple typos. Obviuosly we found this before it was "supposed" to be found. I'm curious to see if they change it at all, and signature, etc.

While we can't respond to you individually on this matter, please know that this issue is of great concern to us, and we are investigating what actions we should or shouldn't take in relation to this complaint. To Dharma leader:

I was theorizing that Persephone may be the daughter of Alvar Hanso based on what I read on Wikipedia under the Persephone entry. Turns out she the Greek Goddess of the underworld and daughter to some other important figure. . .sorry I can't remember off hand. But if skim over it, you get the feeling that there may be a reason she calls herself Persephone.

Marc, Dharmajen is right: there is a text box directly under "Joop's Corner." This is different than the text box where you can send Joop a message.

The flickering text to the left of Joop webcam has been going on for a week or so now. I'm wondering if anything shows up if you fiddle w/the background colors. However, I cannot for the life of me find out how you do this. I know others have said it's under the HF trademark in lower left corner, but I can't locate anything. Perhaps it doesn't work on Mac Safari?

Anyone else want to give it a try?

I'm not sure why some sites are designated as "in game" and some are being disregarded.

The people behind the original viral marketing game for A.I. Artificial Inteligence (The Beast http://www.cloudmakers.org/) used many styles of web layout and registered sites to various real and fictional characters. I think any site could conceivable be "in game."

I believe is is the same group of people working on this game. The puppetmasters of The Beast were a special group working within Microsoft. Hackers of the sublymonal site have discovered links to Microsoft games. http://sublymonal.com/xml/teaser.xml

One of the puppetmasters was a prolific author named Sean Stewart. I suspect he is the actual author of Bad Twin.

No other bookseller site has Hilary Aaron as the author. I googled her and she has written a couple of other children's books for Hyperion...she must be the real Gary Troup. I just thought that was an interresting tidbit.

Persephone may be a code name, but in mythology she is the wife of hades.

is hanzo supposed to be hades?

That could mean the woman who calls herself persephone could be hanso's wife?
Maybe thats why she cant give her real identity.

Also - cerebrus - the possible "security system" mentioned on the map seen in lockdown - is the guard-dog of hell, and the personal guard of hades and persephone.
