I'm more positive that what she says is "A lie pulled tight enough will always snap under the breaking strain."

There's no tongue/N sound to be heard.

Also, Paik-Heavy industries? Widmore?

Remember who Jin worked for? Mr. Paik? Connection! I recall somebody in the numbers forums mentioning that there's a scene during either Jins' interview or some such, where you can see monitors on the wall of Mr. Paik's office dispaying THE ISLAND.

At the very least Mr. Paik must somehow be involved in the Korean offshore project.

Widmore construction was mentioned in one of the podcasts, and the producers told us to keep an eye out for widmore in the future. There was the episode flashback with Charlie and the diaper commercial, and the sign outside says "Widmore Construction".

Also, I swear the voice for the Hanso commercial IS Carlton Cuse, since we've heard him so many times during the podcast.

Note if you call the US phone number now (as of the morning of 5-4-06), you no longer receive Persephone's message on the General Information option. You just get the full address.

Hope she didn't get caught. :P

Read the book Bad Twin-the manuscript that Hurley and Sawyer were reading. The author was 'lost' on Oceanic Flight 815 and it was published after his death. It is dedicated to his girlfriend Cindy who was a flight attendant for Oceanic. (ringing bells here?)

Also--the Widmore corporation is mentioned in this 'fictional' book, along with the Hanso Foundation. I think it is riddled with clues, but we won't know what to do with any of them until we get more info. The plot is a detective who helps the Widmore family with a lost family member.

Mittlewerk is the name of a Nazi SS Munitions Plant, a large underground facility that was staffed with slave labor transferred from the Buchenwald concentration camp. Conditions at the facility were horrific, and thousands of prisoners died due to malnutrition, disease, exhaustion, or hangings by camp guards. This is where the V-series reckets or vergeltungswaffen (weapons of revenge) were built by Wernher von Braun, who later worked for NASA.

Thank you for posting this transcript (as well as the mp3s). I've been getting busy signals and "all circuits are busy now" messages every time I've tried calling the U.S. number.

The first time I called the 877-426-7674 (Hansorg) phone number I did NOT hear Perephone's voice, rather the Women's Voice completed the message.

I called back a second time and that time Persephone's voice DID break in and give me the password.

Strange how it seems pretty random.

I also called the 206-861-5017 phone number belonging to Hugh McIntyre and received the message about his full, so I pressed 5 as instructed to page him. I was prompted for my phone number and after the voice mail confirmed my number I was told Hugh would call me back. I'll let you know if he does.

The 206-861 area code and prefix belongs to Seattle, Washington area

A correction to the transcript (minor):

In McIntyre's messages, Mittlewerk says "We've got to try and put a public face on all this." Much more desperate sounding than should.

In case anyone was wondering 'Namaste' is a word in Hindi!! It means Hi or Bye, much like 'Salut' in French can mean both. At first I thought it was Chinese/Japanese, but no! I have an Indian friend who told me it was Hindi! Interesting?!!

Namaste. Typical final words of a yoga class. Kinda means, "the peace that which is within me recognises the peace that is within you" (Or so my yoga instructor says).

My guess is that it's a Dharma "tie in".

I don't know if it means anything, but somewhere along my search for clues, I saw in some code somewhere an address that strangly reminded me of something. It eventually realized since it started with 544 that it was the spelled out address from the phone message. The actually address and spelling is:

544 Orsund Klengvjel
Copenhagen DK-1604

I wonder if anyone can find out what is actually at this address.

I'm not sure if this is new news or not, but while listening to the first audio file (lost.mp3) at approx. :41 seconds into it you hear a voice in the background. After listening to it many time it sounds to me as if it says "will you be the grim reaper?" though it's very unclear.

for Hanso's voice message - the woman was asking "where's hanso, what have you done with him?"

Is Alvor Hanso himself "Lost" at this point? Either some policing authority took custody of him and/or someone "else" took him.

I'm brand new to the game and just called both sets of numbers. It seems that neither number is active when I call.

Have these numbers been changed, or disconnected entirely?

Just thought I'd mention this, noone else has said it:
That "Water drop sound" is the default sound clip used by Skype when a call ends. It actually sounds like someone saying "End".

i think i've discovered a connection. remember the "missing organs" thing with the map? and the thing for monster.com in the phone call? well, the "jobs available" section is "powered by monster.com" and the only job available in the us/uk is an organ courier. That apparently involves transplanting organs. have a look:
