This is all great... this is the best site on the internet for this ARG and I'm proud to be a part of it. I think everyone should read Bad Twin for themselves... I know it means shellin' out the cash for the book, but at least you're playing the game for yourself. Just imho of course.... I love the site and I'm glad you're expanding.

I'm in the process of moving, so I don't have the extra cash for the book, but I was thinking about its sales. If no one buys it, and it's a loss for Hyperion, will it affect Lost? Will the show take a hit cause the book didn't sell?

If you think about it, there's a lot on the line with this Lost Experience. I just hope it all works out well and in the end it's all cool.

Hey all,

I've been lurking the last couple of days trying to catch up with the blog. I tried to get through all the posts but got stuck halfway through the 495 (wow!) posts for clue 29. Anyways, sorry if this comment has nothing to do with this post, but I just wanted to suggest a religious tie-in that I hadn't heard anyone talking about.

I know from reading the comments that some people were talking about the Namaste and it's Hindu roots, but has anyone noticed that the Dharma Initiative symbol has the 8 Trigrams in it? Just a thought, didn't know if there were any other Taoist tie-ins in the show/experience.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to read the rest of the comments.

As far as Lost being tied to Bad Twin sales, I don't think it will affect the show. It is really a separate venture... I have read Bad Twin and submitted a very detailed summary of possible "clues" which I hope the site will post as part of their summary.
If you can't afford the book, try your local library. I bet they have it!

This is an idea from a simpleton, but i heard on the Lostcasts podcast the other day that there were a lot of rambling passages describing the scenary, items, etc that seemed to have no relevance to anything in the story - could there be some code in there, something like the Bible Code, where words can be adjoined from a pattern. For example - on the 4th page, the 8th, 15th, 16th, 23rd and 42nd word say something? This would mean the book could only be sold in one readable format, same font, size etc, so i guess it's a longshot. I haven't got the book, but will do, in the meantime anyone want to check that out?

For what it is worth, in July there is going to be another release of Bad Twin, in LARGE print format, so this may shoot down your theory.

This game is going to run 6 months !!! This season has not yet ended and the next season does not start until November. There is a lot of time to fill and don't expect too much on weekends. It seems the key days have been Wednesday, during the TV broadcast.

The point of this "game" is to help fill in the story line of the show that they can not cover on the show.

No news yet on miracle or missing organs. The admins of this web site are doing a fantastic job, don't just read the blogs, if there are any new revelations they will post it in the clue sections.

i know this is off topic, but due to the lack of official clues, i've been surfing around a bit

if you first visit http://www.widmorelaboratories.com/
and scroll down to the link "slow air demo" you get taken to

this is pretty obviously related to the Lost Experience, yet i haven't seen it mentioned anywhere

anyway, the link "questions" goes to a section of the Paik-Heavy industries website, which hasn't revealed any clues yet.

it appears to be a series of clues to what the url at the bottom of the page should be i.e. we need to work out what to replace the 'abcd' part of this address with -

has anyone worked out what this is yet?

its got me really worked up as the link for clue B doesn't appear to be working and the first clue is fairly ambiguous as to the right answer!

please someone help as im sure its little things like this that we should be looking for whilst there are no 'official' clues forthcoming

Let me float this theory...

Look at the Dharma logo. I always assumed the lines were a map of some sort. But in light of some of the morse code stuff in the ARG, could those short and long lines be morse code?

Perhaps some of the morse code experts out there have a go at it?

I've actually tried a morse code translation of the Dharma logo to no avail. However... there is a more obvious answer there. All of the symbols are symbols from the i-ching.

Interesting theory... that clue wasalready used and my thought on it was that it was indeed an error on behalf of the ARG creators when they put up the first code... they then gave a clue to lead back to the fixed numbers in the second string... but then again thier could be some kind of connection that might be made at a later date...hmmmmm?

I would also like to add, that in one of the comments someone wrote that in the S1 finale the rafties saw to drainage spouts sticking out of the island...
I recently reviewed all of S1 and think that they were not drainage, but just waterfalls, since the right side one shows what looks like a river floowing down above it... my thoughts are that...we know the Blackrock is at the highest point of the island and the group passed a river or two on their way in... so the rivers which natrually find the way to the lowest point would most likely end on those cliffs based on the drawings on the blastdoor

To all those who think that Persephone is Karen Degroot...
This is immpossible for now since she is on the Island with the others... In the Swan orientation film you can see there is a sea shell necklace around her neck in the image of her with her husband when they are listing the projects...
Now in the finale part 2... the woman on the boat with Zeke/Friendly she is the woman who is driving the boat and throws the homemade bomb on the raft (so much for living in peace ay) she wears the same necklace and looks to be older than in the film... it is without a doubt Karen Degroot...

Has anyone checked the source code on THF site lately to see if any of the logins are working? I wonder if that's what we need to be focusing on now.

To that end, I've been wondering...the morse code clue gives the word "safeg" or "safe9". Earlier we had part of a clue from Persephone about a login saying "this is safe for now". Plug "this" into "safeg" -> "thisg" which can be unscrambled into "sight". Probably nothing though, and it hasn't worked in anything I've tried.

About the points of the compass and the Dharma logo with North being at the bottom, one of the active projects of The Hanso Foundation is of course the "Electromagnetic Research Institute". Should the magnetic poles of the Earth switch (which they do from time to time), then (magnetic) North would be in the opposite direction from what it is now.
Of course that's hardly useful to the whole quest, but there you go...

I like a few of the theories I have been reading in these comments. The fact that the Dharma logo is a flipped compass (North is at the bottom) is very interesting. Many people believe that when the poles flip humans will suffer tremendously, could easily become extinct. It would change everything we "know" about our lives, time, gravity, tides, etc. The real effects are still unkown as we dont fully understand our current connections to Earth's EM field.

Secondly, I like the idea that 4/8/15 16:23:42 is a date/time stamp. However, I would venture to guess that it may in fact be the projected time of the poles flipping. This would explain Hanso and Dharma's research into human survival, sociology, genetics, re-climatization, blah blah. If the poles flipped, we think our world might end, so this entire project might just be a means of preparing for 4/8/15 16:23:42.

Any thoughts?

So for anyone that's heard that podcast on the DJ Dan site... I really think there could be something to the whole cryogenic freezing thing. Right before he mentions Hanso he says that one of the reasons people would undergo cryogenic freezing is if they contract some kind of disease that they think doctors in the future will be able to cure.

In an earlier clue we saw letters talking about the outbreak of that deadly disease. Also, after hearing the podcast, I went back to the Hanso site. I was reading the executive bios again. Both Peter Thompson and Thomas Mittlewerk had personal experiences with disease/illnesses. Mittlewerk's mom died of a genetic disease (meaning he will get it too?) and Thompson had cancer. It says he was "miraculously cured".

I don't know just seemed interesting to me...
