I (David) just realized something really stupid that I did a long time ago. When I started this blog, I used what I believed to be the "official" TLE logo as a part of our banner and our podcast graphic. I was ignorant of the fact that TLE.com was a fan site and didn't even think about asking permission for or giving credit for the art. I just came to my senses and did some research. I wanted to finally give credit to "DocArzt" and thelostexperience.com for the artwork. I also wanted to let everyone know that they are graciously allowing us to continue using it on our site. Thanks a ton guys!

i don't think anyone can get into the hanso site right now. but sometimes you get the main page--look at the #s under the logo. they flash 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 in random order.

I would just like to say first of all "HALLELUYAH!!" I FINALLY was able to do everything on thf.org... i was trying at home, at work, could never get past the squiggly lines. i was getting so frustrated becuz all i could do was look at everybody's comments and screenshots! so, now i feel like a part of the club. anyway... can anyone fill me in on the last few minutes of tonites episode? my dvr cut off right when Hurley asked if he could talk to Libby, and please include what was in the previews for next week. THANK YOU!!!

I can't believe how much time I have spent trying to figure out clues, which lead me to an answer, that gets me nothing other than the satisfaction that in some fictional world, the people who live there will have something fixed to make their lives better.

was anyone else disappointed when they put the sublymonal link right in the commercial for the hanso foundation last night? so many people are working to find clues and then they go and slap that right on there for everyone to see. and plus, in the realm of the game it makes no sense. why would the hanso foundation be putting clues on how to crack their "site" on television? ugh. i was so annoyed!

JoshGutt - I just saw your entry about the guy from the orientation video. It is the same guy. In the first video his name was Candle, in this one it is Waxman (get it? candle, wax? hardy har har.) In the Swan film he did have a prosthetic arm and in the Pearl film he didn't, but the fake arm may have been a ply to help the people in the Swan beleive there really was an "incident."
Random question: Did we ever end up using "miracle" anywhere?
christy, the other possiblity is that that film was made before the incident. and before the swan video was made. i still think that since there is a camera looking at the occupants of pearl... that it is also being watched by someone else too.
Here's a crazy theory, let me know what you guys think...
First, I'm guessing these orientation videos had to be made on the island, especially after the seeing Pearl. That means Candlewickman must be/have been on the island. According to these videos (unless the guys in them are twins...seemingly another Lost possibility), Candlewickman lost his arm sometime in 1980. Do we know another character who lost an arm? Yep. Rousseau told us Montand lost his arm 16 years ago (correct me if I'm wrong on that).
I remember one of the producers mentioning a while back that people have just been assuming the plane crashed in 2004, but that it's never been actually stated. (Which could very well be some Lost smoke+mirrors)
BUT..What if..
What if Candlewickman is really Montand (a possibility now that we know Candle was probably not his real name), and sometime in 1980, he lost his arm. Could it be possible that the plane has somehow crashed in 1996?

1996 is 16 years after the incident in which Montand lost his arm. I was hypothesizing that the producers cryptic comment about the date of the plane crash, coupled with the fact someone (maybe Candlewickman) lost his arm in 1980 could lead to some possible time travel crazyness.
It's a pretty whacko theory...just trying to piece together some of the stuff we know with some of the new information.
Another interesting point about the Pearl orientation film, is that it was on VHS and not a reel, like the Swan
I haven't been able to get anywhere on thf.org. When I enter something in Joops Corner, I get squiggly lines and scratches, the password Heir Apparent does nothing in Mitt's bio, I'm getting nowhere. What the heck am I doing wrong???!!!
Just a random thought that popped into my head: you know how "Persephone" accuses THF of "setting land speed records for subverting authority"? Kind of an odd way of saying it, right? Didn't Desmond tell Jack (in the stadium or on the island, can't recall) that HE was attempting to set a land speed record?
Possible spoilers
1. First let me say that Candle and wickman are the same guy... Often when you re edit something the copyright date is still left the same.
2. The 1980 is the date of the copyright for the films... not the date OF the films... swans could have been edited after the incident or just after all the films were made the first time.
There are NO tv's in swan station just a projector and a screen so they keep useing film there while they use other media in other stations... maybe one has a dvd player... we don't know yet.
3. Good job to everyone who has been working faster than the producers... seeing as we got the OBEY clue before they gave it away last night.
4. Libby may be dead but that does not mean that she IS or ISN'T Liddy ... Some people are not using their real names sort of... Like SAWYER or HURLEY those are not their real names... Hurly gave his real name, some have not.
5. The MIRACLE chick from the EP. ? could be persaphone... has anyone heard of a haircut... maybe she was put in the same hospital as Hurly, Libby, and others as well.
6. Widmore Laboratories is not a part of the game...Widmore.org maybe, but The labs is not... IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PREGNANCY TEST... I mean come on.. it's just a joke

Yeah I am not sure who did it but someone reverse engineered the site and found that they are inactive text fields as well with the miracle word on the WWP DP* press release is also not active

i was listening to the april 10th podcast and something was said about THF.org and inputting "the island is waiting" to get a lost script page that mentions zombies... anybody have anything on that?

Lostforever: I think he pretty much admitted it. If you didn't catch that connection, you'd have had to be blind. The more intersting about that is that has said he was a fake! did Christian manuever Claire over there to get her on the plane? I think she's his daughter and her mother won't let him near her.
On Pearl Orientation:
1: Video tape as opposed to film.
2: Candle gave a different name. Mark Wickham.
3: He's dressed casually, instead of clinically
4: Has his left hand.
5: Looked younger even though the Pearl is 5 of 6 and the Swan is 3 of 6. Date at end of both is 1980
7: Swan is B&W and Pearl is color.
it is DEFINITELY the same guy. i checked it against his photo in the Lost book from season one.

And I am still holding by my theory that the woman in the hospital gown is Karen DeGroot. (Don't know why, it's just my gut.) And that the clue clip is on the island - it just doesn't look like a hospital to me. (Low ceilings, sketchy lighting, etc.)

Anyone else here think that the Wellness program is the re-named "accelerated remote viewing project" as referred to when you call the hanso number? i cant remember whose voicemail had a message about it, but it said something about giving something a more public face....

I'm still holding tight to the theory I posted day before yesterday about Karen DeGroot=Persephone. Especially after getting such a good look at her again last night. I think someone asked who the bearded guy was who is with her. That's her husband, Gerald.
I also still like my other theory: Libby=Liddy and I don't care what anyone says. I may be wrong, yes, but I'm going to be stubborn about it for now. My momma aways told me to stick to my guns and so I shall!!
Thesmal001: explore to your hearts content. Most of what you've posted so far is older info, but if you haven't seen it before that's great! Fresh eyes looking at things may bring a new perspective. We all could probably do with exploring some of the older stuff, just to refresh. =o) The Lost section of wikipedia is really pretty awesome and was updated with last nights info by 10AM.

dharmajen: Gerald and Karen DeGroot started Dharms with Alvar Hanso's financial backing in 1970. She's the blond in the Orientation videos.
I sent this to the blog moderator as well, but I thought I'd post it here too to see what you guys think of it. By all means let me know if this has already come out, but it seems to be a potentially pertinent clue to the game:
On the old Hanso Foundation website at "http://emri.perception.net/", on the Alvar Hanso page "http://emri.perception.net/hanso/alvarhanso.html", when you click the image of him an animation of the computer prompt appears, reading:
HELLO?
:> HELLO?
WHO IS THIS?
:> MOLE.
Then a confidential letter from the Global Health Organization to the Hanso Foundation appears. It turns out this letter is written by the same person as the first letter revealed by Persephone, Jacques Maillot, and it is dated October 4, 2005, about 10 days after the previous exchange. This time Maillot is writing from the Global Health Organization instead of the Global Welfare Consortium, but both are based in Geneva. Overall, it seems to indicate that this man was paid off by the Foundation in the form of a generous donation to his fund, presumably to keep quiet about it.
I don't feel like this necessarily leads anywhere, but it is clearly related to the clues that Persephone has offered, which makes me think it's somehow important to the story.
Am I really the first person to notice this, or it already old news?
I don't dimiss thing just because they are "obvious" The sublymonal solution was pretty darn obvious. When the clock said OBEY you clicked it. Then there were six screens. One for each number. Not exactly a stretch there. =o/ I'm sure some puzzles will be easier and more obvious than others, THANK GOD. Those of us who may lack time, technology, brain-power and, in my case patience when it came to the morse code, will be quite happy to have some simpler puzzles. There are kids playing, too, you know. none here, but let's not forget them.
ENGIO: Haven't seen that mentioned on any of the sites so far, but I could have missed it. Nice. =o)
The Giveus THE BOY thing is old--been around for at least a week if not longer. and clicking on the flight chart and getting different pop ups for different characters ipre-dates the 2nd season--click on Ana Lucia's seat in very back row and it will take you to a mini-movie that will end w/a notice when the 2nd season starts.
Not sure if this is new--or even noteworthy--but I noticed on the main page of the Hanso site, when the commercial ends there is still a little fraction of running time left and it's a clickable link but it doesn't take me anywhere. Anyone else tried this?

just thought I would add that the ZOMBIE reference noted earlier is a running joke with the producers...They refer to season seven and then the zombies came whenever they are asked publicly to talk about future happenings in the show...

If you click on the light, it now links you to the hanso website. But it looks like it's an old cached version because none of the new links, weird squiggles, etc, show up.

Looks like the admin. is working on a message board. Yay! This is the best ARG site around. For now, anyone interested in my BAd Twin thoughts can go to my lj. houses_vicodin. It is a work in progress, and just my opinons, but I'd like to hear what you think.
ALSO... Twin theory: Candle and Weckman appear to be twins. Could the whited out "hanso" on alvar's page be magnus? Could they be twins? Remember on the pics from the wall that dropped in the hatch? There was that notation of the known final resting place of Magnus Hanso/ Black Rock... Twins must figure in here somewhere....
I am up to date on all things experience. But when I click on any of those gary troup vid's nothing happens is this because I am on a mac or are they gone... this happends when I go to amazon, barnes, and the youtube. Any ideas how I can view them?
If they flew four hours of a 14.5 hour flight (SYD AUS to LAX)
Then they turned and flew (I Think) 1 hour toward the phillipines <--sp. that would put them near the marshall islands in the south pacific or (i forget the name) a small island above guam...and as a note... the marshall islands were once used to test nukes...
Also note that turning toward the phillipines would be the wrong thing to do as they would have been closer to hawaii than to where they decided to go.

Yes I think the game told us of this before hand, but it was not a real clue to the game or at least it has not been yet. I think it was meant only for the people in the US who found it. If it eventually leads somewhere I will be happy.
The producers said the Show wouldnt lead into the game... but the game can leak back into the show... does this make sence to any one else???
Also does anyone think the Game has already jumped the Dharma brand shark already... no new clues ...the last one was given twice then nothing... I am frustrated.
I think we do have new clues that we haven't figured out yet: missing organs and miracle...where do those fit in???
I would be surprised if they had two passwords for the same thing. What about the text box under Joop's Corner? Any ideas on that one?
