Clue #60 - Rachel Blake Copenhagen Post 04 & LYCGY Trash

Rachel Blake Update:
Rachel has updated her blog again. She links to an Australian LOST message board and claims to have recorded a conversation between Mittlewerk and a Korean man. She also signed her post "rblake, 105 years." So...if you go to the message board and click "reply" to any message, and then click on the "objectionable comment" link to the right. It takes you to a log-in.

User Name: rblake
Password: 105years

"Peeping on Tom" then becomes a hyperlink - click it to listen to the audio. The translation of the discussion is on Rachel's blog.

LetYourCompassGuideYou Update:
There is a record of a conversation in the trash folder of the directory of the Jeep sponsored LetYourCompassGuideYou.com site. Seems to be giving us insight into the early days of Rachel's quest for truth. (OpenersHep = Persephone = Rachel B) William in the conversation is the William T. Kilpatrick from this contract, which means he is the WTK in this video.

After you read, click HERE...Is this the right path? Are we looking for another username & password for the zip file? Where is that zip file?

Thanks to Evil^^, Jim, Julie, Thrasher76, Gail, Sarah, & BellyOfDesire for emailing this info to us first.

I don't know if this is normal, but clicking on the "downloads" link on the message boards doesn't seem to take me to a downloads page, but just the standard message board.
http://au.messages.yahoo.com/lost/downloads/
and
http://au.messages.yahoo.com/lost/
appear to be identical to me... Has this always been the case? if not perhaps there is some difference between the two i am missing which will lead us to the recording

Just an idea

Lavenda, yeah, i found the downloads page, , my question is has this always been the case? or has it changed today.

This theory is looking dubious, even to me now, since
http://au.messages.yahoo.com/lost/anything/
still takes you to the message board, but still, maybe it's worth considering.

Perhaps there is some directory on the message board which contains the recording.

Realise i am probably just grasping at straws here/

Scott.E.Tuhauddy I think the general consensus is that monster.com (and therefor hansocareers.com) and the game have severed all ties... i would imagine that they will not be using it any more

JB, i thought the same thing... i found it curious she chose "somewhere on the web" as opposed to, for example "here". The message board does have a search box at the top. Perhaps a specific search query will throw up a new site which is only indexed by Yahoo 7 Australia...

Still have no idea what that query would be

clue #5 (extract)

"Every single item of food there bears the Dharma logo, except for one – the Apollo chocolate bars. Now, this may take a moment, but bear with us. The theories of what might actually be taking place on the island just went mythical – mythically Greek, to be exact."

"Finally, Apollo was born on a mythical island that he formed sacred bonds with.. It was not joined to the earth, but rather floated the seas surrounded by swans."

Does it remind you somethings? (like a giant foot statue?)

It's also interesting to me that Apollo is the god most associated with prophets and premonition. He was the one who supposedly spoke through the pythia at Delphi and he gave Cassanda the power of prophecy at Troy. Definately a theme that Lost touches on, what with Walt and all.

leolio :) He was not missing any appendages, that I remember.

You're right on him being the god of healing, I believe. He also liked to curse people who didn't do what he wanted them to do. He made Cassanda a prophet, but when she wouldn't sleep with him, he cursed her so that no one would ever believe her prophecies. I think that he was also involved in Odysseus being lost at sea for 10 years after the Trojan War, because Odysseus' men raped Trojan women in Apollo's temple. Odysseus couldn't get home to his wife - Penelope.

This is probably on the completely wrong course, but...
She signed her post 105years, and linked to a Yahoo message board. Yahoo's standard logo is a Y. On nearly every page on the board I clicked on, there is a link for Yahoo music, which a Y wearing headphones. Yahoo ears? I clicked the link and looked around in it, but didn't see anything that stood out.
I so need to be getting ready for work right now, it's not even funny.

I noticed a link to "http://mb2.aue.yahoo.com/" in the comments of the board, followed by "uncompressed/chunked" and then a time that's exactly 15 hours ahead of the time the page was loaded. The URL just leads to a simple "do you yahoo?" with another comment just like the first one. Is that comment normally there?

I tried to take it as a clue, and following the format of "105years", I tried rblake / 15hours as login, but it didn't work. neither did rblake1901/15hours or rblake2111/15hours. Ah well.

Found something odd, maybe it's nothing. When you fail a login to Yahoo you get a second try, but with a distorted letters box. But when I try "rachelblake" as username, it doesn't show the distorted letters box. That could be a sign that that account is special. Looking at the profile shows it's an old account from 2000 though... so it's probably nothing.

go into the introduce yourself thread. Click reply. Sign in using your own yahoo id. Easy to create one quickly if you need to. Then reply window opens. On right there is a link to "other objectionable content". Click and it takes you to "peeping on tom". There you enter the "rblake" user and "105 years" pass. The audio is in Korean. Any translators out there?

dee - can you post the email ? it might help a lot

6/22/2006 10:24:00 AM
Blogger Dee said...

You're about to enter...

First let's start this by saying, "thank you."

There's a word into which dreams can come true. This email is your
gateway to that word and more that will open your mind and your
consciousness.

Imagine a field - a field of yellow... yellow labs running free,
playful, and enjoying each other's company. But in their hearts they
are not complete. They miss an integral part of their being and the
thing that makes their existence complete. That one thing is the "word"
for which we all search - mankind and labkind.

But first a story.

I was checking into a hotel and a dapper porter escorts me to my room.
As we're going up the elevator in total silence I decide to ask him
his name. He replies, "Mandrake Wig" and immediately starts to explain
the odd name, his German ancestry, and his mother's preoccupation with
botany. He ends the story by saying, "my friends just call me Manny."

We continue talking about our lives, hopes, and dreams as I'm getting
settled in my room. When he's done I offer a generous tip but he
refuses saying, "Let me give you a tip, a single word that will enrich
your life, as it has mine." I accept.

The next day I go to the front desk to leave a tip for Manny. They tell
me no such person works there. I question everyone with no luck. I
think about what he told me and write down his name so I don't forget
it. As I write I see something in the letters. I rearrange a few and
create the words, "waking dream."

The word he gave me that day was - YOU.

Yours truly, Dr. Vincent "Wally" Bole

It certainly wouldn't be unusal for a powerful executive within a multinational corporation to speak the languages of his affiliates. We know Paik has had dealings with Hanso, presumably Group and Foundation, for years. And I wouldn't be surprised if he speaks Afrikaanse since they have dealings in South Africa.

meh. too improbable. human regression to orangutan would be such a humongous leap in genetic engineering, i really don't think it would be within the scope of even the obviously evil hanso foundation/group. dj dan, as has been pointed out, is a conspiracy nut, so he's not going to be 100% accurate, mainly because of his paranoia. he believes that hanso is capable of anything, but i think we have to try and stay within the bounds of what's scientifically possible when we theorize, even if he doesn't...

Experimentalfilm: I think alvar=joop is crazy! I do think that this might have something to do with the missing organs clue and the organ harvesting stuff in Cape Town. I think that THF experimented on Joop by replacing failing organs, and now Alvar Hanso is the first human to use this

I think taking that at face value is too far out there. Now it is possible that they are both being subjected to life extension project treatments or that orangoutangs are being used as part of the project, i.e. taking organs, hormones, antibodies, whatever from them and putting them into humans.

6/22/2006 10:55:00 AM

true .. it does seem .. farfetched, and i still go by my belief that alvar is dead .

There are ppl here, at my work, that watch Lost and I try to explain the game to them... some of them even ask me... But when I do, I go through everything that has happened so far...I mean, I even get into heavy water explanations and everything...

Most of them are like... "What does Hanso have to do with Lost?" and I tell them that they are the ones responsible for the hatches.. and they say "when did we find this out?" and I have to walk them through the whole thing...

Even the big fans don't really get it when I explain the game to them... they just look at me like I'm insane... It's crazy how many different degrees of fanship there are, from the frigid weekly watcher to the boiling hot ARG playing researcher... and if you aren't the latter of the two, you really miss out on a lot of the universe the Lost is drowning us in.

Translation - as much as I can figure out. My comments are in brackets. Honestly, I got about 3/4 done, but couldnt figure out all of the words so I talked to one of my roommates. Luckily they are always up playing video games until 3 am every night!

A. Nice to meet you, Insu (Persons name?)
B. Nice to meet you too, Mr. Mittelwerk.
A. Did you say hello to Mr. Paik?
B. He said we forced him to pay a lot of money. (Or..."From the way he talked it seems like we ( you?) forced him to pay a lot of money)
A. Let's talk business, shall we?
B. Of course.
A. I assume you want to hear about our transport readiness. (If we are ready or not).Briefly, we can't unload (load it?) just anywhere.
