Morning, all!

I'm gonna get right to it...

OK, my theory on the shark is: The sharkis from the "sea hatch" (Thanks Triple-T) is made of metal and washed up by the magnetic waves after John didn't push the button in the season finale. It is NOT the same shark as the one Michael shot. (for it does not have the same brand.) AND the hole last clues are not by persephone, but by another hacker.

Give me your comments, CF

thrasher76, the IRC is still going on. Aaron had the links and everything in the previous post, but you can join now. I'm in there, and Aaron and someone named dragon who I think was [fragile] is in there, but they're both away at the moment.

We're hoping to have the IRC for a while and get lots of people to come in and talk about the clues and whatever else in real time.

Yeah, I saw the dates on the Retrievers of Truth website. Before June seventh actually started, they had that entry already done, from start to finish. It's weird.

It's kind of like the shark on djdan.am how the picture and quote from the guy were already there and then on the last podcast do they actually give that information about how they got it. Kinda weird. Unless the podcast was just recorded way ahead of time and they didn't mention it.

sxzgun/john, let's try to keep this board constructive... I'd hate to see the same bickering and negativity here that has become pretty common on ITE's blogs. We appreciate your opinions, but at least offer something constructive to go along.

I've noticed a lot of "grumbling"(?) over the DJDan podcast being out of sync with his website and the "current events" provided by P. I think I'm beginning to get a theory on this, so bear with me... this is speculation:
The hacks we have been getting are not the "original" releases of the information she's giving us. Perhaps we are seeing replays of hacks and/or information that P previously acquired and shared - possibly along a timeline in the past that would match up with DJDan's information. With the introduction of ROT and what I believe to be their "signature" in the IGA page, I think that they are the current hackers pumping us information. Speaker eluded to the Lost show being past events of this alternate reality - why can't the P and DJDan information also be past events of the alternate reality, with ROT being current?

Just a theory, but if there are any gaping holes, please point them out (constructively).

This is not about the podcast but..

I found this interesting article today about magnetic fields boosting brain power. Sound like a real life Hanso experiment!

Magnetic field 'can boost brain'
By Roger Highfield, Science Editor
(Filed: 07/06/2006)

Ordinary people could be capable of extraordinary feats of mental agility by turning off part of the brain with magnetic fields, according to Australian scientists.

In the Hollywood film Rain Man, the character played by Dustin Hoffman counts 246 toothpicks at lightning speed when a waitress spills them in a heap on the floor of a diner.

The ability of ordinary people to do this same feat can be boosted with magnetic fields, says Prof Allan Snyder, Director of the Centre for the Mind, a joint venture of the Australian National University and the University of Sydney.

His study, which is published this month in the journal Perception, investigates whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, TMS, can improve a healthy person's ability to guess accurately the number of elements in a scene.

Participants in the study were presented with 50 to 150 random elements on a monitor.

Of the 12 participants, 10 improved their ability accurately to guess the number of elements immediately following TMS treatment to the left anterior temporal lobe, a skill that receded an hour later.

Site seems to always have been down when I am on so I had to catch up on all happenings in here. Hi all.

Dogs in sharks, jellyfish, submarines and lights in sky (the list goes on..). Nice work you crazy people.

I do think this is when one of these explosions from the show happened.

I never saw mentioned (and I actually saw this BEFORE reading your stuff) about what looks like a mast in pic 2 of the clue. here. I put it down to being a glitch with the picture but the apparent submarine found here seems to have a mast coming from it too. I still don't think it genuine though.

I saw 2 dogs. One was the 3d jaws of a dog coming from the would. Think it is nothing though.

If you touch up the pic of the guy standing in photoshop it is definitely a coat like Marvins.

Can't remember my other observations but I am going to listen to DJDan podcast now. Thought this blogs cast rocked but sounded like you guys were deliberately speaking soooo slowly. And thought you said no time limit.

AND good to see your doing fine antecedent. Thought Hanso had got to you. UNLESS IT ISN'T antecedant. (Remember the walt thing) LOL

Oh well, more site problems. I have now heard DJDAN. I definitely think there is still more to SaveJoop.com from last podcast. An it really does sound like DJDAN or WIFE posted that latest clue. Plot thickens. Hmm. Miss not being able to speak to you guys.

I have discovered how to read posts made even though I cannot force myself to post.

If you put the link to the comments sections into a download manager (I use download accelerator) it will keep trying until it can download it. The file should be opened with notepad and then all the text copies. Create a new text document and paste the text and save as an HTM file instead of txt. It will then show you the posts made. Thought it might be hand under the circumstances.

Or am I still waffling.

I was super sleepy last night and posted this in the wrong thread - excuse me for reposting it:

Hopefully this isn't a repeat - perhaps the fact that http://emri.perception.net/hanso/khr.html is all daft and funny now is because Persephone has got to it - hidden in the source code is: !-- LOL H4x0r3d!!1 --

As many people have pointed out, the string of numbers hidden in the source of http://emri.perception.net/hanso/alvarhanso.html will give you 'backwards' html - I wonder if this is a bit tongue in cheek because the site is a mirror? That said, it may be another clue. Has anyone who's a bit more computer savvy that me run the html text that appears? It seems to reference playing a gif file, but I'm not much of a computer person, so some please correct me.

Given, you'd probs have to re-type it first.

And yes, I'm well aware that this is the mirror of an old site (I'm one of the 'old fogies' who played around on it last year) and most likely a fan hosting but, as it was linked to by the Verizon board, and in the spirit of discovery, I thought it worth raising.

Another thing that has come to my attention: expounding on Bellyo's parthenogenisis definition/explanation, if we go further back than the current definition, we can find parthenogenisis in Greek mythology. As you all know, mythology has been very intertwined in this game and show. In Greek mythos, parthenogenisis was not strictly reserved to the females. An example of a parthenogenic creation by a male would be Zeus creating Athena either from his mind, or from his thigh (depending on which mythos is read). Zeus had 2 or 3 more parthenogenic creations.

I don't know if this will be significant, but you never know...

007, that goes back in all sorts of mythologies - consider Eve being created from Adam's rib (not strictly within the definition, but still), Gaia gives birth to the Uranus and Pontus parthenogenetically, it features in Indian mythology (but I can't remember the name of the deities involved) etc. Male 'parthenogenesis' is also referenced, with worlds being created through the ejaculation of deities eg in Egyptian myth (Atum) and Hindu myth (Raudra Brahman).

Some interesting stuff about the 'race of women', Genos Gynaikon, here.

As an aside, the Parthenon was called that in reference to Athena Parthenos, Athena the virgin goddess.

Pharmacopaeia - good info. I have limited experience outside of Greek and Roman mythos, and am always interested to learn about others. Interstingly though, Athena was technically a parthenogenic birth as well since she sprung from Chronos' genetalia after he was castrated and they fell into the sea. I'll have to go read on that Genos Gynaikon...

So what I am thinking is, the Dharma group created a test tube shark with a Dharma logo as a birthmark. Then this shark reproduced through parthenogenesis to create many sharks, hence a few dead sharks with Dharma logo on the tail. They could have had different sharks for different tests, hence why the tail logo is different. I figure the sharks in general are just a building block to Dharma figuring out how to reproduce humans parthenogentetically.

The U.S. version of the drink contains the following, according to its label. The company says it's kosher.

Carbonated Water; Imperial Pure Cane Sugar (on the original recipe, otherwise "High Fructose Corn Syrup and/or Sugar"); Caramel Color; Phosphoric Acid; Artificial and Natural Flavors; Sodium Benzoate (Preservative); Caffeine.

The Canadian, UK and Australian recipes are similar, though the ingredients are listed differently, presumably due to different legal standards. Modern Dr Pepper contains asparatame; in the 1960's it contained artificial sweeteners sodium cyclamate and sodium saccharine, which were later banned.

Although the company keeps its recipe a closely guarded trade secret, an anonymous "insider source" claimed it included denatured rum, imitation vanilla, almond extract, oil of orange, and lactic acid. Company representatives vehemently insist it contains "neither rum nor vanilla," however. It was originally supposed to evoke 23 different fruit flavors, though no-one knows what those 23 are.

Had a thought after reading Speaker's week 5 round up. Here is a quote from near the end

I know he HAS to move around from location to location for his own safety (if he is indeed still safe!), but all that moving around day after day can't be good for his mental health. I'm just saying, I think the man needs a vacation.

Should we be looking at the mental health section of THF?

Has anyone seen that new dr. pepper commercial? Their pitch is that it has '23' flavors. I bring it up because they mention the number over and over again, like every 2 seconds. is this a clue? is dr. pepper a new sponsor for the game? am I getting so wrapped up in the lost experience that I am starting to associate everything with the game? Let me know what you guys think!

I went and checked out Dr Pepper, just in case and they are running thier own game about 23 flavors...so no, dont think it is anything...sorry!

Hey guys, I've been MIA the last two days. Work has been crazy. havn't had access durring the day and my wife is having some medical problems that are keeping me busy in the evenings.

I found the last clue and thought it was awsome. I don't have time to read the posts but completely disconnected and not having read any of the posts my personal take on it is...

I think this clue was awsome. Either we have a direct tie in to LOST or we have a new hacker and can't take anything reliable from it. I personaly don't think it was P. I think we can attribute it to the ROT guys and I don't think we can trust them 100%.

Hopefully things will slow down professionally and personally and I'll have time to catch up over the weekend.

Everyone keep up the good work. I sure missed you guys while blogger was down, seems like too much of a coincidence that it went down durring the only clue that we knew was coming, I suspect foul play :-)

I think that this could be a major find. Definitely check out this site:

Go near the bottom of the page and you will see the origin of the Dharma logo. There is a lot of meaning behind this and we might need to start researching what this means. It has ties to Taoist Philosophy and Astrology, both of which could help us understand the ideals of the Hanso Foundation. The dashes missing from the design are consistent with the Dharma logo depicted on the shark, but out of order. I haven't researched it enough so I need some people to help. Here is a picture of where I got this idea from:

I have seen these hung above doors here in Taiwan and in China Town, San Francisco.

One other website that might be even more pertinent:

The Dharma Logo is near the middle of the page. This page discusses its mathematical significance. It would be nice to dig up some relationship to the numbers.

Good find taiwanguy, although I'm not sure how far this info will get us. It will definitely give us some insight into where they might have gotten the idea for the logo and the "Dharma" part, but unfortunately...the producers have already said that "DHARMA" is an acronym...which means that each of the letters stand for a certain word. This may give us some ideas as to where the logo and the initial creation of the project were centered, but I doubt it will lead to any specific clues or facts about the project or company itself. I could be wrong though...just my opinion. :)

OK, im sorry to do this because it seems so farfetched, but it might not be. the website above is a discussion of a lot of seemingly random information that somehow ties together. the man that posted it, Tony Smith, seems to be a quack theoretical physicist with a degree in mathematics from princeton. anyway, he (and other physicists apparently) have connected the eight trigrams (the Dharma Logo)( read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagua_%28concept%29) to Clifford Algebra. One of the primary uses of clifford algebra is quantum field theory or electromagnetic fields. coincidence?...probably.

Also, how can I get to all the stuff they seem to be putting out there? Do they have websites?

Thanks, and again, I apologize for my ignorance.

emull: I'm afraid Dr. Pepper is a separate company from Coca-Cola, and they're simply bringing back some of their history with the 23 flavors add. Don't feel too bad, I find myself looking for the Dharma logo in every commercial as well. As for websites, look under Clue #17 on the main page and you will find a complete lists of related sites. Speaker is at the official ABC site and the lost ninja site is marked. Hope this helps and that you're enjoying the game with us thus far.

f some f: About the logo on the shark, I would go and read the comments under that clue. There was quite a bit of debate about whether or not that was actually the swan on the shark. It seemed the most people decided it probably wasn't and even speculated it was the logo of the sea hatch. I'll let you read about it for yourself.

taiwanguy: I'm intrigued by your research. Good work in finding that. I looked over the page and see that there are 64 hexagrams in the symbol (correct me if I've looked at the wrong spot, but I'm pretty sure this was referring to the root of the dharma logo). We had to decode a message in base 64 at one point. Was this a reference that we missed, or merely a coincidence? Keep up the good work and the interesting posts.

just a thought-

wizardry_eas mentioned that there appears to be a mast coming off of the submarine-like structure. maybe this si another tie-in to the show and we are not seeing a submarine but the "elizabeth". maybe sayid, jin and sun are just on teh other side of the rocks. maybe this photos was taken pre-crash and this is where kelvin his it. does anyone know the time frame that the ARG is in? if it is current time, then are losties have been on the island for a coupe of years. (plane crashed 9/22/2004)

and, sorry, but i'm not sold on there being anything inside the shark nor do i think that it is supposed to be fake or semi-fake shark. i did think that maybe there was a baby shark inside (partenogenisis anyone?) and that this maybe the shark that sawyer shot (at) and has since washed up on shore (another tie-in with the show?) but now i think it's just shark innards. if this is supposed to be a photo of an actual shark, then we would expect to see inside an open wound, right?
then again, the possibility of the various theories on what's inside, what the shark is made of is high. oh, and does anyone have a screen capture of the dharam logo on the shark's tail in 'adrift'? i thought it did have the swan logo on it, but it went by so fast i wasn't even sure it was there the first time i saw it.

like the idea that rousseau and her team were maybe part of the initial dharma initiative and working on teh bilogy/zoology end. maybe they were trying to introduce polar bears to antartica...maybe not.

one last note- glad to see the negative/harsh comments being deleted. i think it's safe to say that we all know this is a game based on keeping the hype around lost active over the summer, but it's a game we chose to play because it's dam fun. we don't all have to agree with one another, but that's good since it introduces different theories.

wish i could listen to the pod cast (i also don't have itunes, nor can listen while i'm at work) but since i may eventually listen in, thanks to the podsters for adding this element- regardless of what the quality is, it's great that you are doing it.

Has anyone made a timeline of the events around the show and the experience so far? I think another mythology tie-in is the paralells between Desmonds journey and Odysseus' from "THe Odyssey". HEre are some quick parallels:

1- Both have Wife-Love Interest named Penelope.

2- Both are separated from Penelope on an adventure that contains the Ocean and Islands that keep him trapped for prolonged periods of time.

3- Both have enemies on the Mainland that want to keep Odysseus/Desmond away from Penelope. (Suitors/Charles Widmore)

4- THere is an ominous force against Odysseus/Desmond. (The God Poseidon/The Island Itself)

THe Admin talked about this a few weeks ago on the Podcast, but I thought I'd reiterate. I'll work on a timeline of Odysseus' travels if everyone thinks its a good Idea.

I would not go to in depth yet, I think the story has it's merits, and certainly has a parallel...I have been doing a lot of mythology research, more than I need, but there seems to be a direct link to many of the mythologies of certain cultures and lost...when I can get direct connections or we have a philosophy/religion group blog I will unload my findings...most of which are at home...=(

Hi Sara, I'm glad you liked, I think it is very
apropriate to this game...

Crossfade: I've been thinking about that too, and Penelope never gave up on Ulisses,

"Penelope was importuned by numerous suitors, from whom
there seemed no refuge but in choosing one of them for her
husband. Penelope, however, employed every art to gain time,
still hopping for Ulysses' return. One of her arts of delay was
engaging in the preparation of a robe for the funeral canopy of
Laertes, her husband's father. She pledged herself to make her
choice among the suitors when the robe was finished. During the
day she worked at the robe, but in the night she undid the work
of the day. This is the famous Penelope's web, which is used as
a proverbial expression for anything which is perpetually doing
but never done. "

frenchie- you are my newest hero! thanks for the timeline- i will see what i can figure out from bad twin. i'm thinking that it had to have been written sometime in the summer of 2004 as both hurley and sawyer read the manuscript (and gary troup died in the crash- or is he also a lostie that we haven't met yet?) if that's true, then did it take the publishers this long to print it? why was it published as a book and not a screenplay (that's what our boys were reading) this screws up the timeline between the show and the experience some. maybe it's just a continuity issue that abc did not think through.

another thought, besides the paralells between the ancient myths and lost- could jj and darren be playing with newer theories? i'm not talking about all the scientific stuff, but more "the 6 degrees of seperation" as the show seems to be a 6 degrees of seperation of jack (new game anyone? heh) there has been a lot of talk regarding how the main characters are connected in some way, even that this is a dream of jack's (waking dream?) not sure i buy the dream theory, but it is interesting to see how when a group of seemingly strangers are cast (no pun) together in a small controled area, it begins to become apparent how they have connections to one another.

marple/crossfade - I believe that Penelope also had to "fend off" 108 suitors.

I'm not sure where the myth connections may lead, but I think it is all very interesting. The obviously did some homework with it. I think I might spend some time this weekend putting together what I can find on myth connections and possible significance. Maybe we'll have 2 things we can review Monday. :)

Hmmm, a few stray thoughts:

Miss Marple (that really IS a great name) mentioned the Penelope web. I have long wondered about the web-like design that seems to permeate the hacked pages on THF site. They seem superfluous. Maybe this is a subtle tie in.

For those of you looking for this to move more heavily to other media, my guess is wait. The discussion of the Verizon employees on the doggie site amke it clear that something is being designed by Verizon for Hanso. It would not surprise me if this new technology/platform gets pulled into the game as we move along.

007surge: Yeah, I forgot to mention that! 108 suitors, and the fact that Penelopes father (Great king of Ithaca) "sent" Ulisses away.

Maybe the myths are not directly related to the game, but they sure help ups to figure things out.

Thinking about that, I remeberd that Persephone spent part of her year with Hades ( in "underworldl", where Cerberus was the "doorman") and another part with her mother. Just a thought.

taiwanguy: those symbols are from the chinese i-ching... I thought this was a well known thing... I guess I was wrong... and I don't think there are any real coincidences...

wizardryeas: I really don't think that the gematrian numbers will play into the same realm as the i-ching trigrams. It doesn't make sense to me that it could in any way. The only gematrian number in the series is 36, which would be either Earth or Flame, depending on it's orientation. I have a complete write-up on gematrian numbers and my thoughts, but I'm waiting on my girlfriend to put all my stuff up somewhere for me... (i don't know html very well, and she'll get pissed if I don't let her do it). There are other meanings that these symbols have, tho... if you look at the list, you can use the dharma logo to determine, with their orientation, what each of the symbols mean. I think they have a major significance in the plot of the Lost universe as a whole and in the "beliefs" behind the dharma initiative

oo7surge- yeah super confused about where to put Persephone and DJ Dan: ie if Persephone filmed Hugh M in London in March 2006, she's been onto them a while, and when exactly did she start feeding DJ Dan with info, and when did she start hacking the site if THF put out a press release on May 5th. I think the ROT forum is supposed to help us put some order in all this, but not sure. When did DJ Dan get the pictures and his Jeep? I think if we can figure out when Persephone started, we can figure out the event which pushed her to do it/ figure out who she is. Just a thought, but lots of confusion.

Miss Marple, traci, thrasher76, 007surge, and the rest of you interested in mythology:

I was looking into the mythology and in my search went back to the wikipedia LOST page. In the literature section it mentions that the Epic of Gilgamesh, a piece of Sumerian mythology, was referenced in the show. Gilgamesh is 2/3 god and 1/3 man and his friend Enkidu is 2/3 animal and 1/3 man. (Leading us down the trail of genetic engineering, perhaps?) This legend also has a close relation to the story of the flood as recounted in Genesis. Desmond seemed to think the world had been destroyed for a while, asking Locke if the world was still out there...is there another great world disaster on the horizon thanks to THF? Keep up the great work. The timeline is a great idea.

Everyone: I am diligently trying to work on the timeline -- which might give us insights on somethings. Mine is pretty long. I'm mostly concentrating on THF. I'm not including LOST characters, unless it pertains to THF. Do you all think it should include how and when we got the passwords?

maven1908: I wouldn't include how we got the passwords for sure - even when we got them is probably irrelevent. I would think we only need to worry about the dates in the information that was revealed in the clues. Thanks for all the hard work.

007surge: if this is the answer, I think it would lead us to:

Vincent Wally Bole:
"After this incident and because he had less-than attentive parents (his father was a near-famous neurosurgeon, his mother a saucier and the co-host of a little-watched TV show) he came to look to the dog as his surrogate parent."

DSLerator: Clone

Mandrake Wig (Manny)
[[Mandrake Wig]]" and immediately starts to explain
the odd name, his German ancestry, and his mother's preoccupation with
botany. He ends the story by saying, "my friends just call me Manny" - Not a mention to his father.
And here, another thought, Why he did mention that Wig's mother was a botany? What does this information has to do with his name?

lostpedia (http://lostpedia.com/wiki/The_Lost_Experience_clues) has a monthly timeline of when the clues were introduced. frenchie has already put the clues in chronolgical order, but do we also want to add when they were introduced (first, second or by date) it may be interesting to see how the information is being doled out to us.
i'm looking at gary troup and how bad twin fits in. the valanzetti equation publish date is unknown, and though his/hyperion's website mentions that bad twin was submitted just days before his fateful trip, hyperion (a titan in greek mythology) did not publish it until may 2, 2006, nearly two years after it was written and gary went missing.
gary troup's anme in an anagram for purgatory. i'm wondering is paul artisan's (main character in bad twin) name is also an anagram? i'll try to see if anything makes sense but i'm not too good at them.

No, Crossfade...that was a GREAT book too (cannot remember which book that was but it was good).

Watchers is the one where there are exparament subjects: a Golden Retriver and an ape like thing that were "bothers" or "twins" so to speak and dog is good and the monster is bad. The monster hates the dog cuz the dog is the "pretty" one.

6/09/2006 12:35:00 PM

Ok the one W? the aliens is the only Koontz book (Sadly) I've ever read. Couldn't remember the name.

Crossfade...it was "The Taking" not "Watchers"!! That is an interesting book to relate to this too!

Blogger belly0fdesire said...

crossfade: no... i think that's The Taking or something like that... i think... it's not the Watchers.. the Watchers also had a dog...

I'm a bit of a Dean Koontz buff... almost all of his books include a dog as a big role... Most of the time, they are represented as the everything good... they know things that we don't know, and they somehow communicate with the protagonist in the book to help him/her reach their resolution...

Thrasher: to put a link the way I did, type
(a href="whatever you link is")CLICK HERE(/a)

Except replace all the ('s and )'s with <'s and >'s... it's hard to explain through this... you want to replace "whatever your link is" with your link and whatever you type in place of CLICK HERE will show as blue and underlined for us to click on... hope this helps!

On Koontz: tho it's off topic, I just want to say that Odd Thomas is an awesome book... It's probably my favorite of all his books and if you want a book to read, I don't think you'll be disappointed in this one.. or check out the Audio Book, I've done both... the Audio Book made me cry at work tho :/

I get the same feeling marple. I remember in the Cape Town Inquisitor clue that we saw that same xray with a circle under the right lung - possibly showing a missing organ (kidney/liver?). Of course, I still feel that there's more to find in most of our old clues... so I don't think my opinion is necessarily the one to seek on this. :)

go maven1908!!! great work!!!
i wonder, if we are correct that the show and the experience relate to one another, if TPTB realized what they were doing as far as the timeline. if the THF site is current day, then, as i said before, our losties have been on the island for nearly two years. what has been their fate since then? is persephone one of the former losties and has finally figured out a way to let the world know what happened to them and who did it to them?
i haven't read any dean koontz but i am currently reading 'our mutual friend' by dickens. another clue? is alvar hanso the mutual friend that fakes his death in order to start anew?
i'm enjoying our recent-ish track on mythology. most of our greatest stories are reworkings of the ancient myths of a vast majority of cultures.

OK PEEPS!!! I have a quest to do...

I am now officially on a quest to see just how FREAKISHLY close some of this story is to Dean Koontz books. I know this sounds like a LOST cause LOL but bare with me. I wander if the writers of LOST are AT THE LEAST MAJOR fans of Koontz or maybe, just maybe Koontz possibly could be somehow involved with the show/game.

Here is a JUST A TIDBIT of stuff to chew on while I do MAJOR research in this idea:

Watchers: has good/bad twin and a ape like thing and retriever

the taking: has retriever guiding people as the get killed and kidnapped by aliens

the light of the moon: has people being injected by unknown substance

one door away from heaven: (have not read) says it has to do with hanicaped girl gonna be healed by tenth birthday

soul servivor: is about a guy who is the only survivor of a plane crash

life expenctancy: (taken from the book description) Jimmy Tock comes into the world on the very night his grandfather leaves it. As a violent storm rages outside the hospital, Rudy Tock spends long hours walking the corridors between the expectant fathers' waiting room and his dying father's bedside. It's a strange vigil made all the stranger when, at the very height of the storm's fury, Josef Tock suddenly sits up in bed and speaks coherently for the frist and last time since his stroke.

What he says before he dies is that there will be five dark days in the life of his grandson--five dates whose terrible events Jimmy will have to prepare himself to face. The first is to occur in his twentieth year; the second in his twent-third year; the third in his twenty-eighth; the fourth in his twenty-ninth; the fifth in his thirtieth.

Rudy is all too ready to discount his father's last words as a dying man's delusional rambling. But then he discovers that Josef also predicted the time of his grandson's birth to the minute, as well as his exact height and weight, and the fact that Jimmy would be born with syndactyly--the unexplained anomal of fused digits--on his left foot. Suddenly the old man's predictions take on a chilling significance. SOMEONE TAKE NOTE THAT THE FOOT ON THE ISLAND IS LEFT, the foot mentioned above would have FOUR toes wouldnt it?

not only is the mha the last active project without activity, this post was on speaker's 5 week round up:

I know he HAS to move around from location to location for his own safety (if he is indeed still safe!), but all that moving around day after day can't be good for his mental health. I'm just saying, I think the man needs a vacation.
