Clue #67 - RoT Clues - Money, Experiences, Check, Sorrow, and Tomorrow!

I thought it would be best to move the RoT chatter from yesterday to it's own clue and add the new ones from this morning. Those Retrievers are keeping us busy!

FRIDAY: MONEY and EXPERIENCES:

1. First See Clue # 65. We found a 3-layer document by guessing 2 of the clues. Today, we see what was supposed to happen in order to find the link to the MONEY page that was found yesterday by Dennis by simply guessing. We were supposed to notice a new image posted at Mandrake Wig's Flickr Site that shows a truck on grass that's "green like MONEY."

2. Also, looking below the other picture, it says "Get a clue: Direct observation or participation?"... doing a google search for these exact words will reveal to you that this as an exact definition for "EXPERIENCES. " So we also have our 7th word in the list of RoT clues (See below for more on RoT clues).

SATURDAY: CHECK, SORROW, and TOMORROW:
There has been new chatter on the RoT message board, and this time it gives us 2 new "clue words". If you are not familiar with the RoT clue words, you'll have to check the comments in previous posts b/c we were initially skeptical about the Retrievers and did a slack job of tracking their words. To boil it all down...up until this morning they have been leading us to SOMETHING LIKE THIS URL. We're still looking for more words to discover exactly where and what it is they are leading us to.

1. So...First, there's this conversation:

DSLerator You need to get a clue.
10:43am
iobiSeeingYou But from where my love?
10:44am
DSLerator You get it from the waitress! THE END?
10:45am

The last part about what you get from the waitress at the end indicates to us that our 8th word in the string is "check"
. CHECK HERE.

2. Then we see the following dialogue:

BroadBandBeatnik That stunk.
11:04pm
Fiberoptician SORROW
11:05pm
BroadBandBeatnik What?
11:04pm
Fiberoptician Nothing.
11:05pm

And we have our third word, "sorrow" (See SORROW here), for that 3 layer document mentioned above. This was guessed by BellyOfDesire 2 days ago.

3. And then finally...Just by luck, once again, acts4food in our comments put a "tomorrow" on the string we already had and got a LOGIN BOX. We're on board with the RoT stuff and are looking to see what happens next!

Thanks to Tim, lhorse007, Laurie and acts4food for being the first to email

Morning, everyone!
I fell asleep watching the middle of Season 2 earlier this morning and awoke to the weird dream that Charlie had, involving his mother and Claire, saving the baby, and the white dove. Very weird indeed... hehehehe Hurley Jesus.

but one way "check" being the last world WOULD make sense is that its the 8th word. and 8 is obviously one of the "numbers."

Hey guys. Nothing really to add to the discussion and question for U/Ps. I'm gonna keep trying random stuff and will let you know if I hit it.

But anyway, I was just chatting to Kyle on the IRC chatroom and decided to pimp the room a bit. So if anyone wants to chat in realtime then get yourself over to #lostclueteam on irc.crazeecanuck.homelinux.net

Dragon put up a great Tutorial for anyone not familiar with IRC and it's very easy to gain access.

Btw, I'd also like to pimp Trillian, cos I use it to IRC as well as ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, AIM and Jabber. It's just cool and the IRC bit is dead simple and a good alternative to mIRC. Although I know some people prefer the mIRC interface.

is there anyone else thinking that the experience, although definitely now interesting in the way it updates everyday, is getting a bit more confusing?
i mean, with all the sites to keep up with, rachel blake, ROT and the dj dan podcasts (that seem unrelated but I'm sure we'll have to dig up something in the old podcasts for a password or something), this seems to get much more all encompassing.
all this stuff with ROT and the guy with the crazy face (sorry, not really up to snuff with that) seem completely unrelated to how the experience started, with the hanso foundation.
if someone (since I haven't been keeping up to the date on the ROT very much) can fill me in on how it's related at all, I would be very grateful

I thought I would let you all know about a good FREE image editor that has a number of effects. It even opens .psd (photoshop) files.

It is called GIMP. To install it you need to install two things. The first link is the install file for the runtime environment for GIMP and the second link is actual GIMP program. Have fun.

I cannot help get the feeling we are supposed to look at RDB to get more info. Someone mentioned new words appearing (what are these - I cannot see - sorry?). "experience movies" interests me as it has the word experience in it.
Clicking it gives the "cabaret woman".

Any thoughts?

I wondered if the first words of the different sections meant anything but I dont think so.
Experience, Go, Pursue, Fuel, Feel and Explore. Just in case anyone notices anything I cant.

Also, if you want to use the Gimp but finding yourself wanting a photoshop like environment try out http://www.gimpshop.net/ where they have a Photoshop style interface on the Gimp.

Has anyone watched those student movies about the transformative effect of broadband? I started watching one but got really bored. Perhaps there is a clue in them somewhere to what the password is.

The video you found by HoffittFilms; have you had a chance to screen cap the video, and see if there are any clues, that might have been missed by "viewing video only"? Several of the students in the video could be in the age range of Wally and Mandrake.

floweroflifeenterprises.org
valenzetti.com
enzovalenztti.com
thevalenzettiequation.com

All take me to the same Register.com website saying these sites are coming soon.
Does this mean anything significant?

I'm predicting one of these Valenzetti sites will go live after Rachel posts her first Italy blog entry.

not the official web site, but note the first pic, the dot in a circle.
This symbol has been echoed on Lost, the most prominent place was on front of flight 815 pilot's cockpit area, outside the plane.

Yes, picsel and matt, I mean the picture with the pie... doesn't that creep anyone else out? Seriously, this game just got a whole lot spookier with that picture alone. (They look like two serial killers!)

Anyway, good work, everyone! It's nice to come home from work and have the day's business all worked out for me! :)

There have been a number of confirmations of "tomorrow" from AIM chats with iobi. Ctrl+F for "Tu Morrow" So we have got ahead, but they've still dished the clues out per their schedule.

Chopsshaw - Yes, I think they are trying to be funny with that one...so how do we come up with the password?

BBB has these words in Italics - Scheme, Server, and Path....could that mean something?

9:10am Ok folks, so you should now have nine words.
Fiberoptician
9:15am Nein! Sorry for the german... the first clue too.
BroadBandBeatnik
9:17am Now DSL, tell them what they win!
DSLerator
9:21am If you have all nine words and they should be in the correct order, you now have to go back to http://richerdeeperbroader.com/ and use the nice words as your path to what you really want... a clue.
BroadBandBeatnik
9:24am Ok you start with your "scheme" (the http part) then you go to your "server" (the richerdeepbroader.com part) then you have you "path" with each word separated by a "/" (that's a forward slash boys and girls).
Fiberoptician
9:27am There goes trip B's treating everybody like a little kid again. Thanks daddy!
iobiSeeingYou
9:10am But you can't just grab the brass ring. You've got to have the password and we can't give you that.
DSLerator
9:33am Gotta find that one on your own.

Long time "lurker", new poster.

Hmm.. I think we need to find some sort of username too right?
Whenever I tried out just a password, it would ask me for a username.
Or do we already know the username?
