Clue #78 - Fragment Code "4ho"

We were told that Damon Lindelof was wearing a rather large bracelet at Comic Con that had the characters "4ho" on it. Turns out that this is one of the fragment codes for HansoExposed.com. The video is of Mittlewerk saying, "We have done our level best and yet..."

Thanks to Sam, Jonah, K.Barrick, and John for being the first to email us this code.

*Note:As we find new fragment codes, we will simply post them in this format. This could possibly mean quicker posts and shorter comments threads. Matt the Pale has volunteered to keep a running list of codes for everyone to view all in one space. We know others are doing this but we are leaning on Matt the Pale for 2 reasons: 1)Speed. His page loads much faster than, say, LostPedia or blogs because he uses bare coding to write it. 2)Permanency. LostPedia often goes down, but his websites hardly ever goes down unless AOL is having major server problems (rare).

*See a summary of all the found fragment codes at...

Since glyph/fragment code "4ho" was found in the real world (on wristbands) we can be sure that they are not going to be found exclusively online. My suspicion is that some will turn up online but more will be revealed in real world settings. Where? Maybe we'll get clues to that...how? Don't know...RoT? RB.com? Emails to us/specific individuals from Rachel?

I'm thinking we'll hear..."buy sprite from the vending machine on the corner of Walnut Hill and Central Expressway" and then we'll have to buy 23 Sprites before we find a glyph/fragment code taped to the label.

We've been busy strategizing...
Matt the Pale is going to create a page to summarize all the fragment codes. It will include 1) the codes 2) how they were found 3)transcript of video clip. We can trust him to do an excellent job at this. This info will be on our blog but in separate posts...his page will keep them all in one place. We will link to his page everytime we post a new fragment code to summarize codes that anyone may have missed. If you email us a new code, we'll email him.

ACT 3 is here! And we're ready to tackle it!

Thinking about glyphs and all, there do not seem to be a lot of vowels involved. Arabic and Hebrew do not write the vowels in their languages, I am just wondering if it might have something to do with that.

GAAAAH!!!

No, that's not true, the wristbands had "glyph" pictures on them with the codes. The fragments are always in glyphs, whether physically or digitally. Even the webpage says that. Read the instructions before saying things like that.

This whole things is just irritating me.

Gosh- I was out most of the day...just after the Rachel/hansoexposed thing came to light and it has taken me sooo long to catch up that I didn't even realize this thread had started. lol
A few things I'm thinking...1) yes I think the wristbands hold some of the clues/glyphs, but Rachel did say that she is hiding fragments on the web, so I just have to think that there are some out there for us to find now. 2) if they are going to put a glyph on the web, wouldn't it have to be a site that would give them "permission"- hopefully you know what I mean. So I keep trying to think of what type of corporations, groups, etc. would allow ABC to put glyphs on their sites/ads/pages. Not that this narrows it down, but it's the way I'm thinking. 3) I also looked on Ebay BTW 4)I keep thinking that there is a clue in the email Rachel sent out. The wording is a little strange...the statements about "the poison and the cure"- this made me think of venom although I'm not sure what to do with it. Also, the statement "it will burn a hole right through the heart of the foundation." Could this mean something? I don't know just thinking off the top of my head. Going to bed now.

Haha, so I read Mandrake Wig's new blog on Myspace (Jul 21), pretty much didn't understand it at all. I left what I think is an awesome comment:

"So tell me how this relates to what it's supposed to relate to, and I'll be on my way.

This thing of which I speak (and all who are reading this blog for a purpose know) is way too cryptic.

Your strange little code is confusing. Show us some fragments that make sense. It like you're speaking in hieroglyphics. *hint hint*"

But Wig was for RoT wasn't he? In the end, it's all just a bunch of guys in a basement making Flash pages and weird stories---oh wait, is that a Spoiler?!

Hi all,

a 'new' newsletter message by the ROT. Here it is:
----------------------------
Dear friends,

I'm a truly honored to have so many loyal and dedicated fans and supporters. I wish I could sit down with each and every one of you and discuss my work and the science of what I do but alas, that would be too time-consuming for the both of us.

I understand you all took my advice to heed change. Or at least a few of you read my words and took note of it and that's all I can ever ask. Remember don't ever dwell on the changes that confront us on a daily basis but face them head on and allow them to evolve your life and yourself.

I won't tax your time or your brain today with a long message but I would like you all to take a moment out of your busy schedules to sit down in a quiet place, relax, and think about all the good things in your lives. While they may seem few and far between they do exist. It is easier to think of and focus on the negative but not always the healthiest or the most productive way to utilize your mental energies.

When the mind is at rest it is at its most productive. Maybe that's why the yellow lab will rest up to 18 hours in a day. Think about that my friends and have a wonderful day.

Yours truly, Dr. Vincent "Wally" Bole

Maybe taken together with Wig's new Blog entry it means something. Here is Mandrake Wig's entry:

You’ll find what you’re looking for… I have faith in you all.

How are we to find our way if were not allowed to walk on our own? See the light if everyone is showing us the way? We all need to live, love, laugh and all the other L words that make up a fulfilling existence with observance rather than direction. Everyone needs to find their own way through this thing called life. All the uninitiated masses should have the opportunity to make the same mistakes that were all meant to make - love the wrong person, work at the crappy job for far too long, loan money to a friend because these experiences help make us the unique and interesting individuals well eventually become.

It took me a long time to learn this. I used to think I could, no make that should, tell people what I thought they needed to do. That great deal not such a great deal -- that thing you really want you dont want that -- that love of your life let me tell you what I know about him/her. Now I might have been right more than not but I wasnt doing anyone any favors. I wasnt just denying them a bad choice and alienating a friend; I was denying them the chance to learn from that choice and myself the chance to see how bad I must have looked when I made that same decision.

Hey we always want to help/give someone the benefit of our experience. If you think you need to do something, protect a friend from themselves, or offer up your opinion on someone elses life choice, theres only one time to do it; when asked. And even then you have to act with tact and diplomacy. And just as a warning; starting your suggestion with an Are you crazy or When I was a kid is a waste of your time and theirs. An opinion should never be an order.

And heres the biggie - when a decision involves love or money unsolicited advice will only lose you a friend. And if youre asked your opinion dont expect to be listened to. Just give it in hope. Your advice your opinion in these matters, when not verbally requested can put you in a very unenviable position. And dont fall for the, I dont know what to do followed by the long pause. Thats just a trap. Say nothing. Let the pause hang there and fire back with the concerned look. It will save you every time.

When it does blow up or hey, if it all works out - yeah right - always be humble and understanding. Be gracious, be smug to yourself, but always be a friend. Never drop the I told you so. Never say, Yeah, well I knew it wouldnt last. Never be the know-it-all because you dont know-it-all. None of us do. Were all just going through this gig with our hands out-stretched flailing to find our way and just hoping it all works out for the best.

Theres a Korean proverb that goes, Power lasts ten years; influence not more than a hundred, which I personally read as, you can make someone do what you want for only so long or you can allow them to do what is right and they will continue to do it. How you choose to take the quote, my ramblings, and what you get out of it all are really up to you. Hey... Ive just told you want I think you should do. Now disregard all of it and go out and live your life the way you want. Ahn-nyung.
-----------------------

Or maybe Ahn-nyung means something, translates into a hieroglyph?

Lets find some more hieroglyphs so we can see the video parts at hansoexposed.

P.S.: do you all think this is ACT 3 already? Would be sad if the 48 days theory didnt hold...

So basically what is comes down to is unless someone who was AT CC has clear/good pictures of the wrist bands...we are at the mercy of TPTB to realease them to us somewhere. I'm thinking that perhaps ROT/Rachel's blog/or maybe AIM will lead us to where to look for pics. I can't believe that ABC would just post the pics right up front...too easy:).

Morning all! I'm with you Ange. I hope there will be a bit of a challenge in finding the glyphs. Though the first two were kind of laid at our feet. Perhaps though to give us a sense of what to do.

I keep checking my email, but clearly I am not one of the trusted few because I have no clues there. Unless Rachel's disguising her message in spam ad for marital aids or fake rolexes.

Does anyone know if there's other video available besides Stelven's?

Good morning! In looking over the comments, I'm with you Ange. Unless people at ComicCon knew about this in advance, a good photo of those bracelets would have been taken. well it didn't have the intro like the others ones had. so im unsure as to what station it was for. It was Dr. Candle, not Wicmund. He had both of his hands working. The movie itself had a picture of the swan station like from the swan video, but was talking about how the job for the person and their partner would be in 3 phases. and then he broke down the three phases... i can't remember what they were. and that was it.

Speaker from ITE said this once...

Once upon a time there was a woman who claimed she could commune with the dead. She was married to an aerospace engineer and together they had several kids. At one point, she worked for a district attorney and helped with cases.

This is, of course, the premise of a television show on some network. But, it's also true. The woman exists and she has the same name in real life as she does on the show.

There are pictures of the real woman standing with the actress who plays her. Does this confuse people? Not really. Basing movies and television shows on reality is not uncommon. We get programs that perform "real life events" for us constantly.

Which brings me to my point. Because Oceanic flight 815 actually crashed, many people assumed that the television show "LOST" was recounting actual events. I had always had my doubts because . . . how could the creators KNOW what actually happened to that plane?

Then, Hugh made his infamous appearance on Jimmy Kimmel and claimed that "LOST" was fictional. He actually went out of his way to claim "LOST" was fictional. The way he addressed it made me very suspicious. I started wondering if maybe the writers of the program knew more than I gave them credit for knowing.

Perhaps the plane DID crash on an island and perhaps the mysterious things that take place on the show are based on "actual events." What better way to throw people off your trail than claim that the show which's exposing your secrets is but a work of "fiction?" The writers can't really respond now can they? Not without revealing their sources.

Many people took Hugh's words as fact even though he lied with almost every other breath he took on that broadcast. Me, I'm more and more convinced that "LOST" is, in fact, real.

If I'm right, this makes what P is doing even MORE important. Keep finding those clues, friends, and I'll keep trying to help.

I was perusing my magazines I recieved free today from Comic-Con and stumbled across some Act 3 specific information in one of the magazines. The magazine is called "Non-Sport Update" (Vol. 17 No. 4). The cover story is about lost, and deals with the new collectible cards coming out soon. The set itself is going to be called Lost: Revelations and it will come out sometime in August. The part that deals with TLE states "An interactive element will also come into play with Lost: Revelations. Fans of the Lost experience will fine a clue embedded somewhere within each card. The recently launched Lost Experience is an interactive element added to the show in the form of an Internet game. Through careful sleuthing, viewers are able to put together a parallel storyline that will reveal even more about the show."

has anyone considered checking out any wikipedia sites? They could add a glyph on there pretty easy I would think. I've been checking Sri Lanka sites, but nothing so far. Just a thought.

There is a bit of a trick to it, but once you figure it out it's no problem.

ok, I have just caught up on everything... going back to Rachel's last video on her blog...

on the video Darla/Gidget left for her she says she is sending a friend to make the meet with Rachel. What if this friend was Ironman/IT guy and the parcel was the key to Hugh and Darla's flat. But then if it was me leaving a key for someone else to go into my flat I would have done the dishes ;)

The glyphs will be rectangular in shape...just like the one on the hansoexposed main page, the wrist bands, and in the instructions of hansoexposed. That is what they told us to look for, so I 'm pretty sure that is what they will be...rectangular with a code in the middle.

I think another approach they make take is posting the hex equivalent for the ASCII for the glyph symbols. I would like to think that it wouldn't be as easy as going to a site that has a glyph on it and entering it in. I just think we need to be open to other methods of getting the glyphs. Another approach would definitely be under bottle caps for Pepsi, Sprite. With this also being a marketing ploy, I could certainly see that one happening.
