Latest Fragment Codes
The first fragment code, "XIGZ2Y10S2" is found on Rachel Blake's web page. And is of Mr. Beardy saying "In 1962, only [distorted] years ago, the world came to the brink of nuclear war. The United States and the Soviet Union almost fulfilled the promise of mutual assured destruction, a promise they continured to foster through a destructive cold war." The pictures are various pictures from the 1960s. A nuclear bomb, JFK, the Pope, Airplanes Etc.
The second fragment code, "GMX18BCJ" is found in the DJ Dan links section. And is Mr. Beardy in an office saying "If you are watching this film, you already know and have worked with Gerald and Karen DeGroot".
Today's third fragment code, "4KVKLAYDM0" is found on Lostpedia, originally mentioned on Speaker's Blog posted in the comments. Not sure who. Mr. Beardy looks to our left, then turns to face the screen and says "I" or "I'm". It seems to be the beginning of the orientation film.

I mean that user name (OpenersHep) was logged actively on to America Online Instant Messenger this morning...just like the ROT guys have in the past. Just playing around with my sequence. I put 10 clips into "storage" and then pulled them down to the timeline, Then did the same with the last 4 (only 10 spaces in storage). Then I hit save and now it says I have 14 clips when it previously said I had only 3.

And on the Doc Jenson interveiw RB says its the video its who the video presents(or somthing like that) Now theres not 1 doubt in my mind that thats not Alvar Hanso.

cam794: My problem with that theory is still the hanso picture in the swan orientation film. He looks a lot older and it's just five years later. Mr.Beardy looks like he is his 40s, making it 10-20 years old in WWII!

I agree that utopian society is a broad brush term, but I do beleive that it is part of it. Hueristics, Eugenics, it all has a part to some extent what DHARMA is about, IMHO. My guess is that Mr. Beardy is Alvar Hanso. He does, I believe, refer to "his organization" and he seems to speak from a more personal place than the other Dharma Shill we've seen.

Hi all: This Orientation video (which Rachel is showing us on her laptap before she pans over to the Mittelwerk lecture) is of Alvar Hanso talking about the Valenzetti Equation and what it means for the future of mankind.
DHARMA and the DeGroots were being used by THF to conduct experiments to prepare mankind for the coming apocalypse. When the DHARMA funding was cancelled in 1987, experiments continued at various Hanso locations throughout the world and the island. Mittelwerk overthrew Alvar Hanso and has taken over THF and is rushing to complete the Spider Protocol because he now knows the answer to the Valenzetti Equation.

thrasher, et. al: the more and more info we get, the more i'm convinced the utopian society survives nuclear armageddon angle is the right path to be heading down. that's why thf feels the end justifies the means. it's the biggest "end" of them all!
sean, et. al: i have always had 2 problems with the valenzetti equation. first, it's essentially impossible that the output of that equation is a specific date. more realistically, it would produce a distribution of probablitlies of extinction. second, it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. if you tell someone the world ends on march 6, 2008, say, then wouldn't chaos ensue in the months leading up to that date? why not end it one day early?

i think it's imagery to connect beardy tro being hanso... hence the building looks like the building from the swan video. However... they probably didn't tape him outside when he was talking on that video on the inside, because they looked completely different from one another.

I think that this segment of video pieces we have has been edited. I am talking about the original the Rachel has and is pulling the clips from. The person who made that video, spliced it together. SO we have the original DHARMA orientation film, with Beardy, then they edit it to fit seamlessly into Mitts showing it to a bunch of recruits. I think I just talked myselfout of that thought. LOL
I am not so sure that Beardy is Alvar...He could be the Guy before Candle/Wuckmund...but he does say "my organization" so that means he could be Alvar...the age thing is not a sticking point for me...especialy if he had found a method to restore youth...I am babbling now...

Also, reading the transcripts posted on the TLE wiki, I have to disagree with a few words (minor details, mostly)... In #12, I hear "continue" not "continued" (which would make sense, bc at the time, the Cold War was still ongoing), and in #13, I think he says "you already know and have worked with" not "I have worked with"... Also, I know the word is garbled, but I think he says "only 13 years ago" in #12 which would make sense since 1962 is 13 years before 1975, the date on the video.

just an fyi, doc jensen's interview is a fake... they never closed the doors for the lost panel, they had seating in the back still when it started. Also he started off by saying "I heard a door slam with a loud bang and saw these security guard guys toss this lovely and familiar young woman on her face."
As those that attended know... Rachel was escorted out by two rather weak looking women. Thus i conclude Doc Jensen was fed the answers to say, or he made the entire thing up completely. Prolly the first... i hope.

megs; i don't know if i'd call them a sponsor. i'd put doc on roughly the speaker's level. more like a commentator with connections to tptb.
the HE system is really buggy and the amount of people accessing it at one time cuases it to act the way it does.
we've already found that the order you place them in does NOT correspond to whether or not the placement is correct. Rather it just depends on if HE actually saves the order or is malfunctioing at the time you save it.
Tip: I always save 2-3 times before closing it... and it seems to work.
i don't think doc is speaker, though. bringing a real person in-game adds a level of realism to the whole thing. i think that's part of the reason behind bringin him in.
oxillini, the difference between doc and speaker:
speaker thinks what is happening is real... doc jensen does not.
Because of that reason he is not ingame in the sense he's a character, but he's more of one of those chosen few that rachel has talked of.

abbyabitha: Yeah, he's sharing. He can only catch a code after someone saves a sequence containing that code. That's how he found the Catseye code.
Who is Cateye? What benefits are there to not sharing a code? As far as I know the only "prize" for this ARG is information.

Mornin all just signed in and checked it all out. Read almost every comment...looking at clock...been on over an hour and just now posting!!!
OKAY, so someone asked about OpenersHep logging on to AIM this morning...yes! I accidentally had my speakers turned up WAY TOO LOUD and fell asleep with AIM signed on...I got a GOOD MORNING loud and clear very early! SCARED THE %$^*&^% out of me! Then shortly after that a SLAMMED DOOR scared me again. So yes, OPENERSHEP was on.
Now, about these new clips...when I put them in my sequence, I posted last night on other thread, it throws my whole thing out of wack! I know many think there are bugs in the system and so on. I really think we get a pat on the back as we do well and the system does not reckognize if you make errors, like it didn't play 5 of my clips when I viewed them and then I saved it and it said 6/6...then I moved around many and it said 11/11 then added new clips from today and it reads 7/7...only half right is my guess.
I know this does not seem to fit if we share our sequences with eachother...so I am not sure but it was intriging!
with all the hub bub about that bogus video, It makes me wonder just which one of you planted it there. That is obviously spoofed!

Quick hint for those (like me) that have had trouble saving on HE.
If you are logged in twice (have two browsers open at once both logged in to HE) it will only save the original. You can make changes on the second open page, but it won't save them.
This can happen easliy if you don't realize (like me) that when you click on the link after you save, a new browser is opened. If you then use that window to go back to HE and log in, you are making changes that it won't recognize.
Sorry for the long post, thought it might help some frustrated people.

Her biological father is the drunk she sent up in flames). We see Kelvin in Sayid's flashbacks to the first Gulf War.

mamakau: My impression was that TWM was showing the film on the tv to the folks there and then segued into his speech... there are a lot of missing clips left, so for all we know, TWM could intro it, show it and then continue, or it could be only one transition... I doubt it will have more than 2 transitions just given the amount of clues left (unless we get more large chunks). My 2 cents...
I thought the TWM clips were what Rachel found in Sri Lanka. As in, she videotaped that footage herself while in Sri Lanka.

i saw the racel blake thing. that is strange.
that site is not strange or a coincidence. in the upper right corner, it says "inquire about this url" and the page is just ads. it's a domain squatter and one of these exists for many real, established pages. they hope that people mistype the address, end up there and click on the ads, generating revenue for the squatter. it puts up "relevant" ads because it is looking at where the user came from. the most popular referrers are search engines. that site strips the search terms from the referencing address and generates ads based upon them. if you click on "evident agenda" its a page of ads. nothing fishy, not even a fansite, just cybersquatting crap.

re Hoffitt film: Speaker has said it is a fan fake (paraphrasing)... but where that was I can't remember now! It may have ben in response to an email so is not on his blog or anything
costa - the image to the right of the mushroom cloud on DJDan's site is from wikipedia. It is about nuclear fallout, where as the one in the Hoffitt film (originally released on youtube, the dharmatel link you gave is someone just linking to that. If you look at the "About this video" on youtube it says it was put up there on May 13 2006) is about earthsmagnetosphere - the images are quite different.
re Timdorr's script: it was actually someone else using his script that found the "catseye" code, so luckily they were sharing. But they seem the sharing type.

Long post. I've been synthesizing all the comments and thinking about the connections between Lost the show and TLE. I really appreciate the insights that have come out since Comic Con on the relationship between the two.
In the ARG, TLE is reality and Lost is a TV show. Putting on that mindset could lead us to several possible conclusions.
1) Gary Troup and Cindy the stewardess are mentioned in both. The real ARG Gary Troup and the person on the ARG *fictional* Lost TV show don't have to look like the same person. In the TV show they had Gary Troup sucked into the engine but that doesn't necessarily mean that the ARG Gary Troup is dead, although I think he probably is.
2) The information revealed about the Dharma Initiative in the show Lost may or may not be factual.
3) Are the orientation videos for the Swan and the Pearl from the TV show real to the ARG?
3) Where did the people creating Lost the TV show get such inside information about stuff Rachel's had to risk her neck for? If HF released that information so the TV show could be made, what was it's motive?
4) HF advertising on the Lost TV show does seem to indicate that Hanso is advocating Lost. Whether or not the Lost TV show is on Hanso's side, who knows?
5) If Lost is a TV show and not ARG reality, it's plot can't intersect with the TLE, meaning a character cannot show up on the island and start playing a role there. In TLE, Lost the TV show is a work of *fiction* based in some measure (and we're not sure how much) on reality.
6) This would explain how time is different between the show and the ARG. The ARG is in 2006 and the actors on the TV show are working in 2006 with fictional scripts set in 2004. Maybe a character from the ARG could crash the set of the show?
7) The numbers as we know them have primarily appeared in the Lost TV show. In the ARG we had to use the numbers from the show in one or two clues and we the hierglyphics that represent the Valenzetti equation are the same as the Lost TV show timer. But the ARG reality Valenzetti equation may be different or more than just the numbers we know. (Although I kind of doubt it. Anybody do a comparison to see if there are numbers significant to the ARG and not the show? That would be a clue.)

In-Case anybody is still interested. I am still working on my Comic-Con Footage. In case you guys didn't know, I have the full 1hr 20min of the panel interview from Comic-Con. Even the audio for the Season 2 DVD spoilers. I am sure this will be done by tomorrow evening. Just letting everybody know since we have some down time here.

I haven't looked into bigspaceship myself as I sem to recall a lot of others pointing it out as a fake... an old fake from last year IIRC... but don't quote me on that ;-)

Sorry to reiterate the point but just to clarify. According to TLE, Gary Troup of the book interview is *real* and the guy getting sucked into the plane engine is an *actor* - in the ARG reality.
twinkle: Lost is not a TV show in the ARG. It's a REAL story. The Orientation videos are REAL. The Lost writers are in possession of very valuable information regarding Dharma Initiative and THF and that's how they created their story.

costa: if I understand correctly, you are comparing the little 'fallout' pic on the bottom of dj dan's website to the magnetosphere drawing in the hoffit film(around the 3:20 timestamp)?
Sorry, they are different diagrams, that use white lines on a black background but they are different. I blew up the dj dan icon to compare.
Unless, you are referring to something different in the hoffit film?
Regardless, I feel that the hoffit film is just a well done fan flick.
Lost: Good points, to some degree Lost the TV show is using ARG real material. But look at what Rachel said in her interview with Doc Jensen. She dismisses the show. "Lost is a TV show... the Hanso Foundation is real."
In TLE, Lost is just a TV show with very valuable information but not ARG reality happening. In other words, as far as the ARG is concerned we don't know if Oceanic flight 815 crashed on an island. That hasn't been introduced as ARG reality. It's only on the TV show. See?
A big question is (and I'm speaking from an ARG is real mindset) - where did the Lost TV show producers get their information from and what purpose is it serving? As Rachel pointed out, "Are you suggesting the TV show actually serves another, alternative purpose than just a delivery system for its commercials?"

Libby/Liddy: Liddy is ARG reality. Libby is in the Lost tv show. The could totally be representing the same person since in the ARG the TV show is only a somewhat ficitonal representation of reality, and the writers of the show can rename people however they want.

You really shouldn't talk about things that have happened in season two, as some part of the world has not seen the entire season yet!
I think it opens up a whole slew of new questions relating to what Lost the TV show (hereafter referred to as LostTV) means for the ARG. What are they trying to accomplish? Are they helping Rachel or the HF? I hope TPTB have thoroughly thought through the implications of making LostTV just a show and TLE reality.
So the flight is real, Oceanic is real, Dharma is real, Hanso is real, the island is real, the numbers are real, the hieroglyphs are real, Mr.Paik is real, Sun is real (not sure about this one), Widmore is real, Charles/Penny Widmore are real...

The panel did say that time may not be moving normally on the island. Also I think TPTB hinted at it somewhere else?
I guess that brings up the question - If in ARG reality, Oceanic 815 did crash and those people disappeared on an island similarly to how LostTV describes, how closely have the events on the TLE island paralled the events on LostTV. (Thinking in ARG mindset) Did one of the survivors get off the island to share his/her story with the LostTV writers? Why did HF allow the show to be made? Is there some reason in their grand schemes, that HF started a show about themselves and started advertising? An organization doing what they do only goes public about it to get support of some kind, financial or something. Why is the HF publicizing itslef? What do they want from us?
Costa: Right about the armbands, the *actors* are wearing them but the characters on the show cannot. In TLE, Daniel Dae Kim exists but Jin does not (except he could be a real person portrayed/protected by an actor).
Oh, I forgot, Magnus Hanso is real, the Black Rock is real, maybe even Rousseau is real!
costa, I don't agree with your idea that only hardcore fans play this so those in non-US countries where the show is airing well behind would have downloaded the episodes... for a start not everyone is in the position to download even if they wanted to. How about just a little respect for them and their desire to not have spoilers shoved in their face?

TLE is desinged to be played without knowledge of the show. Like Lavenda said, the UK only half way through Season 2, and Australia has not seen the Season 2 finale yet.

LostTV just being a significant but somewhat fictional TV show in the ARG reality would explain how we're supposed to be able to play the game without much knowledge of the show, wouldn't it?
I was just hoping I could rely more on the secrets revealed in the TV show to shed light on on TLE, oh well.
