Fragment code "ZY6C" has been found over at Speakers Blog. Navigate your way to his Week 3 Roundup and click on the infamous "Hole2" image and you'll see the newest glyph. Plug in the code at hansoexposed.com to see the latest fragment which contains screen text reading "DHARMA ORIENTATION".
Almost fell off my chair this morning reading the newspaper. A giant Verizon ad had a little box on the bottom with a picture in it! Could it be a glyph!?! Alas, nope, just a don't use cellphone while driving warning! Would be cool if they did go to newspapers, tho.
Anybody else getting an "image not available" message now when you go to the glyph site? Is this because everyone was looking at it at the same time, or is something wrong with my computer now?
This was posted on Speaker's blog so it answers HOW it was found at least. What the monkey and eighth moon have to do with it I still don't know.
Um, ok. Is this old or new? I was looking at the Middle Man comic, which led me to Javi's site, and on his links, I went to an official Javi community. Hidden at the bottom is this:
In Round-Up number three, click what's STILL a mystery.
Round up #3 is the one with Hole2, which I'm not sure ever got really solved? Any ideas? I tried just putting the hole2 file name as the glyph, but that doesn't work.
Belly, I think I put the wrong link in the main page on where to find the glyph...it was from the email we received...I can't find where it came from now....can you help and fix?
Thrasher, I go to that image and get the same results "Image not available" It is supposed to be the hole2 image in Weekly Round-up 3 on Speaker's blog.
OK, I like the clues instead of being spoonfed, and it was interesting to see the two different methods used to find the glyph.
Next frag please...no,really. I mean it. I'm not joking. I took off work today, and can devote my full attention. Frag? Anyone? Oops...I've started rambling.
The Date August 1980 was the clue. Middle Man comic site..to Javi's blog. In the Archive there was an entry from 1980. It had a riddle that led to thefuselage.com..which had an anagram that spelled javi minions dot com...which had the clue to the roundup about hole2.
colduphere: thanks, at least i can see a logical path there. i like that much better than the explanation that someone knew javi wrote middle man comics. could our glyph tips be getting back to the phase 1 hints? i hope so. i would prefer these puzzles versus, "it's somewhere on the web, everyone search at random"
Ox: I agree. I'm OK if TPTB want to rotate the clues through Speaker, Ninja, and The Other Girl, and then let us solve their puzzles. I like the use of anagrams, and maybe they'll go back to using coded anagrams as well, with hex, binary, etc. Of course if they are lurking the can feel free to mail me a copy of the video on DVD. I promise I won't share....
OT: So last night, TLEC comments and my 4 year old's Knock Knock jokes merged in my head. This morning I decided to make a blog out of it. So if anybody wants a laugh (or at least a groan) check out: http://lostyourhumor.blogspot.com
Here's a sample if anybody wants to play along. How would you answer: Why did Thomas Werner Mittlwork cross the road?
http://www.insidetheexperience.com/2006/07/reader_mail_12.html Eighth moon of the Monkey thrice before. A voice from the Middle knows much more.
Author of Middleman comic is Javi Grillo-Marxuach which takes you to his blog - look back at the archive and you'll find an odd post from 1980... (I was expecting it to be one from Sept 2003 but his archive doesn't have any from 2003) posted at 8:15am: http://chaodai.livejournal.com/56306.html?view=1910258
A single post here has the next rhyme. The numbers will help you. Do you have the time?
Solution to that riddle is: http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?p=815
You've come this far, don't give up now Solve this anagram and you won't drown. JIM VOMITS IN A CONDO
Solution to anagram is: JAVI MINIONS DOT COM
Hidden at the bottom of http://www.javiminions.com/ is: In Round-Up number three, click what's STILL a mystery.
Go back to the speaker's blog and look at roundup for week 3: http://www.insidetheexperience.com/2006/05/week_three_roun.html
Click on the image for the picture of the unknown man... http://blogs.abc.com/photos/uncategorized/zy6c.jpg
Oodles. The archive post on Javi's blog provides a linke to the fuselage posts. The link to posts on that site is http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?p="post number". On Javi's blog he says the numbers will help you...DO YOU HAVE THE TIME. The time on his blog was 8:15 AM, so the link http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?p=815 takes you to the thread that has the anagram.
The buggyness of the main site in Act 3 is starting to really peeve me off. Almost every time I log in to load new fragments I've had random segments returned to my storage area for no readily apparent reason. You know what, I've officially given up trying to order these, because I'm tired of having to re-do it every day because of this bug. Bah.
Look the new pix on flickr - I feel that way many days. Today especially. Started a new hobby, collecting these things called glyphs. In you varied travel you wouldn't have come across any new ones?
Thanks for the pix and any info!

We might want to keep this in mind for the future glyph searches.
I would totally have to AOL you on that one Ratman. Bored now. I was so bored yesterday I actually resorted to watching the new Pink Panther film and guess what, it was rubbish! So tonight I will have to find something actually good, or else just start another DJDan remix. Which reminds me, has it been two weeks yet?
Fenris - I thought it would be 2 weeks from the 10th, well that passed on the 24th. Maybe he meant 2 weeks not counting that week, so hopefully there will be one on the 31st.
I think two months from now, while we are all still here having spent hundreds of hours looking for glyphs, we will have the entire video. Someone will snag it off of he.com, and another will play it backwords. It will be 20 minutes of TPTB snickering, giggling, and saying , "nanny nanny boo boo...we got you to waste your summer...we got you to waste your summer...."
Louie1- don't feel bad about questions re: HE.com- everybody's having glitches.
aneilio76- ratman is being a little impatient....your order looks pretty good
For everybody who is putting frags together, if you haven't discovered yet, Matt the Pale has an order on his website that most people agree with, also BellyO had a similar order posted in comments yesterday....so the easiest thing to do is check with those sites when you want to get confirmation on your frag order. MTP's gets updated regularly.
cyborg...certainly could be. DHARMA is just as sinister as the US DOD's DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) which had a key role in creating the first iterations of the internet, which has led us all to this f-fiving existence....
So speaker's "clue" regarding eighth moon thrice and all that was nothing, no connection to the hidden glyph on hole 2 (which I have never seen because has always just said no image for me)
I will be off to the New Jersey Shore for sun and fun...BellyOfDesire will be around to update the site. I also think that David and William will be back as well...until Monday!
Marcus...that riddle lead us to the eighth month (August) and the year 1980 (the year of the monkey three times back from 2006). There was an archived comment on Javi's blog from that date.
The Eight Moon of the Monkey Thrice Before? Speaker Posted it on his latest blog entry at ITE. It is below all of the pictures he posted, right before the other comments start.
Okay, so I get the end, and the beginning, but where is the middle? What in the Fuselage led us to this "Javi Minions" thing? It says a single post, there's millions of posts on the Fuselage.
You know they had "dumbed down" the game so much lately that if they continue to give us clues/riddles like they did today (which I hope they do BTW), I'm going to have to wake my brain up from it's stupor to be able to figure these things out! LOL
Let's look at it this way. It has been one week since we started searching for these glyphs... We have found 17 so far. If we continue on this slope, we can expect to find the last glyph in mid August either during the 3 or 4th week of Act 3 of the 5. This would allow for 3 weeks for Act 4 and 3 weeks for Act 5. Or 6 weeks for Acts 4 and 5.
Oh my GOSH! Twinkle, Belly, Colduphere you guys are so funny. I'm laughing so hard. Of course it could be that I'm just so strung out from staring at the computer most of the day. Don't know what you all do for a living but you may have missed your calling !
"Dennis said... Mandrake Wig updated his flicker account again with a minor change. He renamed the "Gentelman" photo to "headless"."
LOL, I beat Mandrake by a couple days....when you read my blog, remember.....OZ has had a major impact on the LOST storyline. In "Return to Oz" Dorothy escapes from a mental hospital, with the help of another little girl (sounds like a Claire-Alex episode) Dorothy eventually winds up in the UNDERWORLD, where everyone has trouble "Getting Ahead"
hi guys...generally, i'm a lurker...but i have a question regarding season one episode when shannon shoots locke (probably cuz i'm watching it right now and something just looked funny to me)...
when shannon shot locke, when i pausesd it, it looks like some goofy stuff is going on with wherever she shot him.....something like smoke or came out of his stomach or something.....any insights?
seriously, locke has some blood on his head...i assumed shannon grazed his head, maybe it was his ear....
but then i noticed something goofy happening with his torso....there was a light reflection or something....i don't have a screen capture or anything...just watching my dvd tonight.
Well now that I have had time to sit back and relax while reading the 270+ posts here, I only have this to say.
I found the Glyph right off the bat but it had nothing to do with the Javi site or the little riddle at the end of speakers post. I never even saw the little riddle until I started reading the posts here and went to check it out. I actually found it (In what I guess is the third way to find it) from the part at the begining of Speakers post, and from just the CAPITALIZED words in the disclaimer and went rushing off to find it, this is how.
Won't you be my Neighbor and the Land of make believe are both references to Mr. Rogers neighborhood. He said "Now "we" go off to the land..." I thought how do you get to the LOMBelieve, You go through the Troolies Tunnel.... which is a Hole.
Then in the disclaimer... it said "SOME real answers a head", = Real answer A HEAD.
Then "...in this entry TOO seriously..." the TOO = 2, so now I had HOLE 2.
Then there was this "There are NOOOOOOOO clues in here. WEEEEEEEELLLLL, except for maybe that ONE!"
The one confused me until I thought about where I was reading this message, in reader mail #12... I thought of the +1 from the P site and put it together...12 or 1+2=3, or TOO =2 plus ONE =1, also is 3. And from all that I got Hole 2 + 1 =3, so I first checked The readermail #3 and found nothing. Then I checked the WEEK # roundup to find the picture of HOLE 2 and you know the rest.
Oh and... My sequence as of fragment #17*... 1) ohge 2) zy6c 3) 4kvklaydm0 4) gmx18bcj 5) 7hkbh 6) 3gtvi0m11 7) xigz2y10s2 8) m6xy398 9) 88ch 10) 3zgt 11) 1ey8azczna2 12) rrhyxs 13) fvh7n 14) ig3x 15) 4ho 16) 748l 17) vdados7yre0 *All positions are subject to change...
While we are waiting for another clue... Since it seems the video will tell us more about the island I want to suggest the following island location: 16 23' 42S, 158 4' 0"W Check it out in Google Earth. It tallies with the flight path, being 1000 miles of course, and with Rousseaus and Desmonds comments (3 days out of Tahiti / a week from Fiji). It lies between Fiji and Tahiti, about 1500 miles E of Fiji and about 600 miles W of Tahiti.
Desmond says that sailing due west he should have got to Fiji in less than a week, so unfortunately that doesn't fit with your co-ordinates which are west of Fiji, not east for Desmond to sail west...
I'm not going to be around much this weekend because my Dad is staying over for the weekend, but I have a feeling I'm not going to miss anything too exciting.
oodles, ah I stand corrected... looked up the coords for locations in Fiji and realised my error was E not W :) it's funny because I was looking at this just last night... I've always wondered why the plane was heading back to Fiji, why not one of the other islands that was probably closer? Does it have something to do with the facilities at the airports? Haven't looked into that... yet... anyway...
**********SPOILERS***********
from that position Desmond would have been better heading for Tonga or Samoa I would have thought... but then I don't sail, he probably knows something I don't
dan10k it happens to a lot of people, could be a bug or could mean that fragments are not in the correct order (having said that, people with different sequences have got 17/17 to play). you are not alone
Re: Only 15000 playing the game on HE, I have my HE account in my name but work on the game with several other people. So, for a percentage of the players, each one on HE could represent several people.
Apparently there are new glyphs in the new official lost magazine out today. One in US version, one in UK version. HE.com hasn't released new codes however.
jessiepao - yep there are no geographical (overwater) features there. But think about it: if TPTB picked a real island then a) we could say, what's all this bull about the outside world not being able to find it, sure it's on Google, and b) there'd be plenty fans nuts enough to be wanting to go there to see if the losties are still there or to be cured of whatever illness has befallen them. So IMHO they had to pick a spot in the ocean that has no actual island. In any case, it's just a theory of mine. I noticed that the coordinates for Fiji are not far off the 18 23 42 pattern, then I mirrored the rest of the code and bingo it fits perfectly. The only problem is, as with other South Pacific locations, that it would have been dark at the time of the crash, not daylight. But as hardy sailors, I'm sure Rousseau and Des knew what they were talking about.
Remember the high tide that washed away the crashed air craft in season one? Well, there are no "apparent" high tides on the equator. So the Lost island isn't near the equator, Sayid was wrong, Arzt was wrong, about the North-South direction and the Monsoon season...the losties are not ON earth...they are IN earth....
I just emailed Matt about Code #19. Code # 19 should be rxmhjh9y (there's a "h" after the j according to the screenshot on this blog) #18 and #19 have not been released at as of this time.
All of my mittlewerk parts are gone and when I try putting them in again it says I have them, I checked everywhere for them and I refreshed the page but they wont come back!
jessiepao, my hubby sails, I'm sure if he set his mind on it he could find any spot. In any case, the island as we know it is large enough to show up on Google but remember what *********SPOILER*********
fake Henry Gale said - He claims that Michael would never find the island again if he decided to come back, and while captured in the hatch, he claimed that even "God" wouldn't see the island. So it would make sense if it did not show up on Google ;)
Mr Rogers was a guy who did a kids show here in the US. He died a few years back, but his kids show was very popular during the late 70's all the way through the 80s (it may have gone on further than that, but also could have been reruns too). I grew up in France so I missed most of it, but family members back in the States would send me tapes of the show when I was little. He is often mocked nowadays, but those are just bullies=P Most kids loved the show no matter what they say now LOL!
Anyway, LOM stands for the Land of Make Believe - which was a fantasy area that the show would take you to by way of a model train=) Troolies Tunnel was also a part of the show.
So anyway, all that to say it was an American kids show.
Remember when "Zeke" said to Jack "Interesting Theory" and it turns out it wasn't a theory, that Zeke HAD sent a mole into the losties camp? Well, Lindelof and crew put those words into Zeke's dialog. Now in response to a question about OZ and LOST, Lindelof says "Interesting Theory".
Articles, Links and Details here.....I Love LOST ! http://users.newblog.com/thinbluemime/
"JessiePao said... So you think they're in some Truman show eco-bubble within the earth?"
I think the Losties are inside the earth, the hollow earth, or in the ancient tradition, of Dante and Hades. I think the Pala Ferry will transport the losties to the next "level" of hell, and the smoke monster resides in one of the lower 9 levels of Hades. Weird, I know....I have details at the blog, and the blog requires some creative "connecting the dot" thinking, because I have not tied it all together in one coherent theory...but I know I am on the right track....
"released" is when they are... well, released... out there for us to find. "Published" in HE lingo means at least one person has input the code. They probably did not expect the mail service to be so efficient (for once... oh wait, not talking about Australia Post here. And no, Australia does not seem to have an official Lost mag :( ) and the codes fragments will be "released" Monday. Still I am surprised we were not given busy work this weekend.
Thinblue- my only problem with your theory is that it is really similar to the whole purgatory theory that the producers have denied...I realize there are some differences with yours, but I would think it may be too close to be an option. JMHO-(which is often wrong anyway).
Do you guys think that there is something to the whole leaderboard on HE.com- such as do you think that the people whose names are on there will get some kind of game payoff at somepoint? or do you all think that it is just shoutout of sorts?
Belly - Yeah that's a good point. It no longer matters who first spotted the glyph code in the magazine, it's now who can stay online refreshing hansoexposed until they can enter it. So whoever get's the credit isn't neccisarily skilled at finding codes, they are just skilled at sitting, staring at a PC and hitting the refesh button. Perhaps not even that if they are using a program to monitor site changes. Although the refresh button guys will probably get there first.
To be honest, I can't bring myself to care about the leaderboard. When it comes down to things like, who reads Ninja's blog first it doesn't seem like anything I particularly fancy bragging about. Then again, I've had my shout out, if I hadn't maybe I'd be more after getting on the leaderboard. I can't say 100%, but at the moment I don't think I'd care anyway. I don't really like it being a leaderboard. It would have been better if they just got Rachel or someone to give a proper shoutout to people as they got the clues.
so my theory is they'll release them at times that make sense for the people in the region of each magazine... meaning the UK people would have a better chance of entering their code, because it'll be released, say Monday morning UK time (which could mean before west-coasters go to bed tonight too...). That'd be the nice thing to do at least, since the several of the clues so far were easier for east coasters to find time-wise. But if I'm right, we'll be in bed when the next one is released, then the one from the US mag will be released Monday morning on the east coast probably...
fenris- If they were doing that, it may mean that the glyphs themselves have meaning as far as what order they will be released in. (or maybe I'm stretching... I just think there has to be some meaning to the glyphs and am struggling to figure out what it could be...)
I don't know about you guys, but I think this game is in serious danger of losing people. The interest seems to be waning as these glyphs are so aggravatingly (is that a word?) dribbled out. It's like water torture. TPTB tried to get alot of new people interested after the Rachel/ComicCon thing and her FAQ post, but I don't think a lot of them are hanging in there. I've never seen the boards, blogs, forums, chat rooms so quiet. I sense a lot of people are just saying: "Let others that have the time/energy/ego/incentive to do the hunting and posting of new frags and I'll just check in from time to time. I just want the whole video done with already." The leaderboard means nothing to me. I could care less about seeing my name on there. I guess it's important to some, but not me. If those 2 LOST magazine glyphs are real, whoever enters them first gets on the leaderboard...what's the point of that? I truly appreciate people "finding" the glyphs and posting info...but TPTB are making sure they will be found. I just don't have the inclination, time, patience, or...most importantly...the desire, to search myself.
Personally, I'm about to leave for a 3 week vacation and I had dreaded missing so much. Now, at this current pace, by the time I get back the video will have been completed and I don't think I'm going to have missed out on much (except for chatting with you guys!)
Another thing I beginning to think: This video might be the end of the game! TPTB are drawing this out as long as they can (since the start of Season 3 was pushed back). I don't think they have anything left after we see the video. It will probably explain a lot of things about the Valenzetti Equation and what Mittelwerk is up to...then what? Are we supposed to stop Mittelwerk from doing what he's planning? The whole point of this game was to find out what THF was up to and exposing them. The video might finally accomplish that. The only question remaining might be Where's Alvar?
I hope I'm wrong about this...and sorry for the long rant.
Yes, experimentalfilm: Another thing I've noticed on various forums ang blogs: Tempers are getting very short. Nastiness, name-calling, ego-tripping are increasing like I've never seen. With all this downtime between releasing frags people either leave the game to actually live their lives or hang around and start picking on eachother. I'm not saying it's everyone...only a small percentage...most of us are continuing to try to make sense of what we've learned and have really good theories and speculations. But I have seen an increase since this glyph thing started!
I agree with Maven and experimantal...This part of the game is deathly slow! I had to take most of this week off from playing, and I feared that I would miss so much, but now I just don't really care. I am content to check the blogs and get the codes, enter them, and be done with it. There isn't anymore discussion on the boards, because there really isn't anything to talk about. Every time a clip is released we can chat about what is in it, but there is less speculation, and theorizing going on. Add to that all of the new players who have missed so much of the game that people playing from the beginning had worked so hard to follow. For me reading through the blogs and answering/ discussing the same questions over and over again (answers that can be found by READING what others have posted and looking at TLEC main page) has become tiresome. I really hope this clip phase isn't the end, and that we pick up the pace with it, and get on with the game. Now I am off to re-order and save my clips....because Hansoexposed.com has pitched them all back to storage, but that is a rant for a different day!
I tend to agree Maven. I am relatively new to the game, having spent most of the first act as a lurker. The whole ComicCon Rachel appearance was cool and represented an opportunity for the game to really take off in popularity. It was exciting and brought some new interest into the game. But the latest development, the 70-piece video, and the way it is being presented, handing us out fragments 1, 2 and sometimes 3 a day, is nothing if not tiresome. You know nothing really significant is going to happen for at least 3 weeks and probably more like a month, when almost all of the frags are assmbled into a coherent whole. And you know too that its going to happen and reveal itself whether you go through the drudgery of keeping up with the clues daily or you wait untill the end, spend an hour or so gathering all the frags, and assembling them, catching up. Theres little motivation to participate, other than a residual excitement from Rachel's ComicCon appearance. The individual frags are almost meaningless ... Anyway, Ill probably stick with it till the end but I am not sure, it is tiresome and time comsuming and lately there has been very little fun about it other than chatting wiht the community playing Trivia ...d
Hi, ange: It's a small comfort that, so far, people do agree with me. And I wholeheartedly agree with your "rant" about people newer to the game posting and asking the same stuff over and over. It's so simple to READ various summaries that are all over the place, and of course, the front page of TLEC. I don't want to feel more superior to the new people, but many of us "old timers" that have been here since day one have put in a lot of time and effort into this thing, are very frustrated in the repititious and uneducated questions posted. I try to be nice, and if I'm around, answer people and direct them to the right place or tell them that: yes, hansoadoptions.com is NOT in game. I still check TLEC religiously all day, but, to tell the truth, at this point, I'm getting tired of it all and don't post nearly as often as I did. Of course, there's not much to talk about lately, either! (Except to complain about there's nothing much to talk about. lol)
squirrel, I live in hope, like yourself. "three will...three will rock you", well not quite yet. Anyway, played with Google Earth yesterday and proposed a new (I think) location for the island at 16 23' 42S, 158 4' 0"W Well today I thought that the opposite point of the globe must be somewhere in Africa (remember, we still don't know how a Beechcraft 18 with a range of 1200 miles could possibly crash somewhere near Fiji unless it refuelled 10 or so times). Well, the opposite point on the globe at 16 23' 42N, 21 56' 00"E is in Chad in what looks like a valley right beside a cliff... Moreover, that spot is precisely within the flight range of the Beechcraft 18... What d'ye think?
Got a clue? Let's work together! We'll compile all LEGITIMATE clues here. Please BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR EMAIL'S SUBJECT LINE. This will help us sort & prioritize. We are committed to keeping this thorough and yet SIMPLE and always aimed at the truth.
I (David) just realized something really stupid that I did a long time ago. When I started this blog, I used what I believed to be the "official" TLE logo as a part of our banner and our podcast graphic. I was ignorant of the fact that TLE.com was a fan site and didn't even think about asking permission for or giving credit for the art. I just came to my senses and did some research. I wanted to finally give credit to "DocArzt" and thelostexperience.com for the artwork. I also wanted to let everyone know that they are graciously allowing us to continue using it on our site. Thanks a ton guys!

Why is Middle capitalized? Could it stand for Mittlewerk or something else that is a proper noun and not just something in the middle?
the glyph was found on one of the hole pictures on speaker's site.

Nice find Sean!
i thought it was true. but to be honest, i really just wanted to use that wv before i reloaded the page.
thanks thrash.
but, i wasnt really the first. we all spotted it at the same time.
i just don't get it...
he doesn't? im disappointed myself.
okay... i drag the new frag down to watch it and it says "undefined" what the heck?
They better release another fragment today. This so cannot be it for today. I mean, really!
Anybody else getting an "image not available" message now when you go to the glyph site? Is this because everyone was looking at it at the same time, or is something wrong with my computer now?
that's it. im going to lunch. maybe some nutrition will help me wrap my brain around the monkey thing.
http://hole4.thehansofoundation.org/
Is this old or new? I never seen this one.
scout, i had to enter it 3 times before it worked!
I've only seen Hole2 and Hole3.
Posted by: KJ | July 28, 2006 at 10:28 AM
Thanks...glad to know it not just on my end.
ok, so the eighth moon of jupiter is lysithea (eighth moon of a monkey) interesting info from wiki:
Lysithea did not receive its present name until 1975; before then, it was simply known as Jupiter X. It was sometimes called "Demeter".
well, demeter was persephone's mother. also not the year the name changed, 1975. coincidence? who knows.
anyway, i don't see the conection to hole2 yet. anyone?
Belly, I think I put the wrong link in the main page on where to find the glyph...it was from the email we received...I can't find where it came from now....can you help and fix?
Thrasher, I go to that image and get the same results "Image not available" It is supposed to be the hole2 image in Weekly Round-up 3 on Speaker's blog.
Even though you can't see the glyph the file name is zy6g.jpg
That is funny adelphiadella....
OK, I like the clues instead of being spoonfed, and it was interesting to see the two different methods used to find the glyph.
Next frag please...no,really. I mean it. I'm not joking. I took off work today, and can devote my full attention. Frag? Anyone? Oops...I've started rambling.
ok, so i get the second line of his poem, since the hole 2 pic is the man in the middle (peter above hime, screen cap from kimmel below)
still not sure what the first line was supposed to mean. any ideas?
Did anyone get a screen capture of the glyph? All I get is "Image Not Available" message.
The Alternative One
Here is the link to the actual image per a post in speaker's blog: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5037/3426/1600/zy6c.jpg
Ok.. well that did not work.. how do I make it a clickable link??
Ox: This is courtesy of ixalon at ITE
The Date August 1980 was the clue. Middle Man comic site..to Javi's blog. In the Archive there was an entry from 1980. It had a riddle that led to thefuselage.com..which had an anagram that spelled javi minions dot com...which had the clue to the roundup about hole2.
The speaker who maintains the javiminions.com site is this guy:
http://speakerwiggin.livejournal.com/
He has The Fuselage as one of his links? Is this OUR speaker? Is this "in game"? Is this even relevant?
I can't find the glyph. Ilooked at the hol2 link under speakers 3rd weekly roundup and it is juts the hold2 pic from before. :((
colduphere: thanks, at least i can see a logical path there. i like that much better than the explanation that someone knew javi wrote middle man comics. could our glyph tips be getting back to the phase 1 hints? i hope so. i would prefer these puzzles versus, "it's somewhere on the web, everyone search at random"
yes mike, it says image not available
DIXXEE said... Ok.. well that did not work.. how do I make it a clickable link??
You need to add the HREF="" to the tag:
< a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5037/3426/1600/zy6c.jpg"> http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5037/3426/1600/zy6c.jpg < /a>
Or you can just have the link in the HREF part, and something else in the middle:
Ox: I agree. I'm OK if TPTB want to rotate the clues through Speaker, Ninja, and The Other Girl, and then let us solve their puzzles. I like the use of anagrams, and maybe they'll go back to using coded anagrams as well, with hex, binary, etc. Of course if they are lurking the can feel free to mail me a copy of the video on DVD. I promise I won't share....
Thanks, Dennis!
OT:
So last night, TLEC comments and my 4 year old's Knock Knock jokes merged in my head. This morning I decided to make a blog out of it. So if anybody wants a laugh (or at least a groan) check out:
http://lostyourhumor.blogspot.com
Here's a sample if anybody wants to play along. How would you answer:
Why did Thomas Werner Mittlwork cross the road?
Has anyone found the anagram at The Fuselage? There's "a single post" by Karri but I can't see the anagram
???
The New Glyph
Thanks Dennis... I found it and I think I have it now :)

Eighth moon of the Monkey thrice before.
A voice from the Middle knows much more.
Author of Middleman comic is Javi Grillo-Marxuach which takes you to his blog - look back at the archive and you'll find an odd post from 1980... (I was expecting it to be one from Sept 2003 but his archive doesn't have any from 2003) posted at 8:15am:

Mandrake Wig updated his flicker account again with a minor change.
He renamed the "Gentelman" photo to "headless".
hmmm... I still don't think there's anything there... but why does he keep fiddling with these photos...
Twinle...I like it.
colduphere: Thanks. :-)
I'll check back later. I'd love to hear other people's jokes and answers. You can leave them in the comments on lostyourhumor.blogspot.com too.
Glad ya'll have a mystery to work on!

We might want to keep this in mind for the future glyph searches.
mamkau: Heather's Brain has done a blog of those..

mmakau: lostpedia has most of them, not sure about the latest one tho.

Does anyone know where I can find a collection of all the glyph images given to us so far?
The Gallery of Glyph images is here: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Glyphs
(took a while to find...)

I was having the same problem, sophie. Lostpedia has an image of it tho.

Ok so it took me a long time to get my message posted...BellyO's order posted above. LOL
I can't remember Belly- I think maybe you guys just have one difference, but my memory may be completely wrong.

Marcus...that riddle lead us to the eighth month (August) and the year 1980 (the year of the monkey three times back from 2006). There was an archived comment on Javi's blog from that date.

Oh, nevermind, that's clever. They're finally giving us clever clues. Finally.

In case you didn't I e-mailed Speaker the ones including him.
Colduphere: I see we're in the same business. Nice to find a com-pun-ion. :-)

Ah I see everyone else has gone out for the night....very quiet here....

Thanks, scoutpost! Missed my calling? I get to do this all day and every day only for a more discerning audience, my kids. ;-)

LOL, I beat Mandrake by a couple days....when you read my blog, remember.....OZ has had a major impact on the LOST storyline. Hi Belly,
I liked the RB/Tivo joke. Cute.
SweetScrapper
hi guys...generally, i'm a lurker...but i have a question regarding season one episode when shannon shoots locke (probably cuz i'm watching it right now and something just looked funny to me)...
when shannon shot locke, when i pausesd it, it looks like some goofy stuff is going on with wherever she shot him.....something like smoke or came out of his stomach or something.....any insights?
guess everyone's sleeping or out on a friday night like normal people.....
christian...i'm confused too.
seriously, locke has some blood on his head...i assumed shannon grazed his head, maybe it was his ear....
but then i noticed something goofy happening with his torso....there was a light reflection or something....i don't have a screen capture or anything...just watching my dvd tonight.
Then in the disclaimer... it said "SOME real answers a head",
= Real answer A HEAD.
Oh and...

While we are waiting for another clue...
Since it seems the video will tell us more about the island I want to suggest the following island location:
16 23' 42S, 158 4' 0"W
Check it out in Google Earth.
It tallies with the flight path, being 1000 miles of course, and with Rousseaus and Desmonds comments (3 days out of Tahiti / a week from Fiji). It lies between Fiji and Tahiti, about 1500 miles E of Fiji and about 600 miles W of Tahiti.
oodles...
*********SPOILERS***********
Desmond says that sailing due west he should have got to Fiji in less than a week, so unfortunately that doesn't fit with your co-ordinates which are west of Fiji, not east for Desmond to sail west...
lavenda
according to Lostpedia:
"Desmond believes the island is a week east of Fiji at 9 knots."
http://lostpedia.com/wiki/The_Island
contd.
my suggested co-ordinates are east of Fiji, he would have to sail west to get back to Fiji.
Hey Belly, I guess you'll be asleep now, but when you get up check this video out.
Whenever I see your name it makes me think of that, so just thought I'd share. :)
Meanwhile the lack of activity is prompting me to plug My DJ Dan remix projects again.
I'm not going to be around much this weekend because my Dad is staying over for the weekend, but I have a feeling I'm not going to miss anything too exciting.
The red star is what I got from your coords... Fiji (Suva) is east of that and Tahiti is right off the map further east
lavenda
I put a map on the blog at http://no-news-on-the-western-seaboard.blogspot.com/
oodles, ah I stand corrected... looked up the coords for locations in Fiji and realised my error was E not W :) it's funny because I was looking at this just last night... I've always wondered why the plane was heading back to Fiji, why not one of the other islands that was probably closer? Does it have something to do with the facilities at the airports? Haven't looked into that... yet... anyway...
**********SPOILERS***********
from that position Desmond would have been better heading for Tonga or Samoa I would have thought... but then I don't sail, he probably knows something I don't

it happens to a lot of people, could be a bug or could mean that fragments are not in the correct order (having said that, people with different sequences have got 17/17 to play). you are not alone

MAYBE this is why Henry wanted John Locke :)

Apparently there are new glyphs in the new official lost magazine out today. One in US version, one in UK version.
HE.com hasn't released new codes however.
jessiepao - yep there are no geographical (overwater) features there. But think about it: if TPTB picked a real island then
a) we could say, what's all this bull about the outside world not being able to find it, sure it's on Google, and
b) there'd be plenty fans nuts enough to be wanting to go there to see if the losties are still there or to be cured of whatever illness has befallen them.
But as hardy sailors, I'm sure Rousseau and Des knew what they were talking about.
http://lowkeysoft.com/LostARG/monitor.php
Remember the high tide that washed away the crashed air craft in season one? Well, there are no "apparent" high tides on the equator. So the Lost island isn't near the equator, Sayid was wrong, Arzt was wrong, about the North-South direction and the Monsoon season...the losties are not ON earth...they are IN earth....
http://users.newblog.com/thinbluemime
Wow, we know the next 2 glyphs before they are released.... The race to input them first.!
I just emailed Matt about Code #19. Code # 19 should be rxmhjh9y (there's a "h" after the j according to the screenshot on this blog) #18 and #19 have not been released at as of this time.
We should keep our eyes peeled on newspaper ads, too. I keep checking out Verizon ads. They have used papers before in the game...so maybe again!
How come the last two codes on matt's site doesnt work??

"back to lurk mode..."
All of my mittlewerk parts are gone and when I try putting them in again it says I have them, I checked everywhere for them and I refreshed the page but they wont come back!
jessiepao,
my hubby sails, I'm sure if he set his mind on it he could find any spot. In any case, the island as we know it is large enough to show up on Google but remember what
*********SPOILER*********
fake Henry Gale said - He claims that Michael would never find the island again if he decided to come back, and while captured in the hatch, he claimed that even "God" wouldn't see the island.
So it would make sense if it did not show up on Google ;)
@dedjezter
Please, can you explain?
Who is Mr. Rogers?
What is LOMBelieve?
What is the Troolies Tunnel?
Thx
oodles...
Thanks lordnune. That explains why I've never heard of it.

2 NEW GLYPHS IN MATT THE PALES CODE FRAGMENT PAGE.
makin,
they don't work yet
"released" is when they are... well, released... out there for us to find. "Published" in HE lingo means at least one person has input the code. They probably did not expect the mail service to be so efficient (for once... oh wait, not talking about Australia Post here. And no, Australia does not seem to have an official Lost mag :( ) and the codes fragments will be "released" Monday. Still I am surprised we were not given busy work this weekend.
Hey did anybody see that MattThePale has two new frags on his site!?! haha, only kidding!
Man, weekends are hard to keep up with clues. Hope monday is better!
yay.... more people should post stuff around the world... check out ninja's blog!
so codes 18 and 19 listed by MTP as having been found in fan mags are not working yet because they have not been "released" yet?
Thinblue- my only problem with your theory is that it is really similar to the whole purgatory theory that the producers have denied...I realize there are some differences with yours, but I would think it may be too close to be an option. JMHO-(which is often wrong anyway).
Belly- you're still up too! Yeah for us west coasters!
It would have been better if they just got Rachel or someone to give a proper shoutout to people as they got the clues.
film-
Do you subscribe or did you buy it in the store? I don't know where around here I could get it...
so my theory is they'll release them at times that make sense for the people in the region of each magazine... meaning the UK people would have a better chance of entering their code, because it'll be released, say Monday morning UK time (which could mean before west-coasters go to bed tonight too...). That'd be the nice thing to do at least, since the several of the clues so far were easier for east coasters to find time-wise. But if I'm right, we'll be in bed when the next one is released, then the one from the US mag will be released Monday morning on the east coast probably...
You'd think if there were people monitoring the sites they'd have made it active as soon as it was discovered. Makes sense.
Hmmf, unless the new tactic is to get loads out there and then make them active in a random order. But what's the point in that?
fenris-
If they were doing that, it may mean that the glyphs themselves have meaning as far as what order they will be released in. (or maybe I'm stretching... I just think there has to be some meaning to the glyphs and am struggling to figure out what it could be...)

Morning to anyone who's around!
(Except to complain about there's nothing much to talk about. lol)
P.S.: And I haven't even had to enter anything new to the Timeline since July 22!
Maven...hanso adoptions...THANKS for the laugh! You made my day!!!!!:)
Sorry, jess: Just letting off steam.
I'm just sitting here, rewatching LOST Season 1 and doing the Sunday crossward! (And, obviously, still checking in here! Can't help myself! LOL)
squirrel, I live in hope, like yourself.
"three will...three will rock you", well not quite yet.
Anyway, played with Google Earth yesterday and proposed a new (I think) location for the island at
16 23' 42S, 158 4' 0"W
Well today I thought that the opposite point of the globe must be somewhere in Africa (remember, we still don't know how a Beechcraft 18 with a range of 1200 miles could possibly crash somewhere near Fiji unless it refuelled 10 or so times). Well, the opposite point on the globe at 16 23' 42N, 21 56' 00"E is in Chad in what looks like a valley right beside a cliff... Moreover, that spot is precisely within the flight range of the Beechcraft 18...
What d'ye think?
contd.
The spot in Chad is just on the edge of the southern Sahara. Inside the plane was a map in which the word SAHARA was prominently featured.
