Lag Alleviation Part 2

We saw a commercial featuring Thomas Mittlewerk last night, he was encouraging us to have "spirited debate" about The Hanso Foundation. We also know that Hanso Exposed was updated late last night, but we still have no user id or password.

Keep the discussions from the previous post coming...

***Hanso Saved My Cat***

Just a word to all those Hanso bashers out there - the Hanso Foundation is wonderful. I know because they saved my cat, Puffykins.

Puffykins suffered from pneumo-sublymonal-coccus pangaea - a rare kitty killer. My vet told me that, since Puffykins was already 18, there was nothing he could do.

But as I left the vet's in tears, a man followed me. He told me he worked for the Hanso Foundation and that they were working on some experimental treatments that could save Puffykins. I took Puffykins to the Baltimore office of Hanso, and a complete blood transfusion and several shots later, Puffykins was back on his feet!

Puffykins is 21 now and still going strong. Thank you Hanso Foundation and Namaste!

Hey All.

I just thought of something. I agree it is unlikely that TM would give us the password or UN or anything for hansoexposed.com, but what are the chances that he wrote the script? Hugh McIntyre is head of public relations, if not some lower level lackey, it's most likely that HM wrote the script. And since we think that GG is HM's mistress, maybe they're working together?

It's just a thought.

My theory on this is that hansoexposed could be one of those corporate sites that supposedly encourages open debate and has the appearance of transparency, but really is just PR. Sort of like when a cigarette company has a web site about quitting or preventing smoking. It's all for appearances.

by the way, check again Kyle. Puffykins isn't really "Puffykins" anymore.

I'm sure it's probably some sort of accelerated clone or something.

this is how we have all the "bad twins" and a 105 year old Orangutan.

They continuously clone these creatures, so they can experiment on basically the "same subject" with many different things. Cures, diseases, etc.

To quote CeeLo from Gnarls Barkley: "just a thought".

7/13/2006 07:51:00 AM
Blogger christy said...

lhorse: Exactly. On the surface it encourages "spitied debate" but, like chucklez3 said, they would rather have the debate on their turf so it can be monitored and controlled on their terms.

Of course this could all go out the window when we see what the site really is, but that's just one explanation for why Hanso could be sponsoring the hansoexposed site.

I wondered because using the term credentials seems out of place. MAybe it is a hint to look at the monster.com job ad's (especially TM's assistant position)

Hi all... Just wanted to add my 2 cents...
People have commented that it's not likely that we would get a password to a site that would be anti-Hanso from a Hanso commercial, but just a thought...

Hasn't Rachel appropriated other things as PWs before? allveggie, falsedegree, etc. It wouldn't be so far fetched that she saw the commercial and thought that spirited debate would be a good thing to use as a PW...

We are also assuming hansoexposed refers to the "revealing the guilt or wrongdoing" definition of exposed. That word can also be defined as "to make visible." Perhaps THF is creating that site in an attempt to demonstrate their openness and transparency. Or at least supply us with that illusion.

Weezknight,

I just think some of those "Active Projects" THF had were mind-blowing and could help out a lot of problems.

Now, maybe the way the new leadership has taken things is a little screwy, I just think we need to find Alvar and restore what they had going...

Obviously, Hanso wants to know what we're saying...it's apparent they tried to hack all the blogs we post on(???) *speculation*...Anyway, if it was them, and they can hack in, they can definitely monitor even more closely now. so *sticking tongue out* there Hanso...

I just found this online, it's nothing specifically to do with this clue but with THE NUMBERS. It turns out that numbers have been being broadcast for hours on end for years.

There's a radio show about the subject here.

Dr. Z is funny because that's how Daimler-Chrsylser wants to portray him. Put a funnier face on the stern German board of directors keeping Chrysler afloat. THF should take a lesson from them.

I think we'll see the RoT guys (aka Verizon guys) again ... we seem to rotate through corporate sites to keep THF confused about where to find Rachel's latest intel (am ignoring the commericial reasons for purposes of enjoying the game).

But cancer-curing and life-extending ... is THF really all that bad? (Totally ignoring the fact that THF sends goons to young women's hotel rooms to search through their stuff.)

We'd better brush off our game hats ... Rachel's probably going to ask for help solving the code GidgetGirl alluded to in yesterday's phone call.

As far as the Hanso Exposed site is concerned...

I can confirm that earlier today... between 4am and 4:15am (EST)...the Hanso Exposed site began mirroring THF.org. And when the .swf link was used, it took you to an error page. If you took the .swf part off...that also led to the THF.org shutdown page. NOW...Hanso Exposed gives you the login box once again, but the .swf link still takes you to an error page and taking the .swf part off takes you to a blank page...

Sorry...hope all that makes sense :)

About this Hanso Exposed site: didn't rachelblake.com have a login box up on it just like that one before it became an official part of the game? My thinking is that the login stuff will go away once the site comes into play for real.

chaserace, thanks for the suggestion, I just tried it and it doesn't appear cached, at least to me. On second thought, if this truly is a THF site to monitor discussions then I doubt they would have RBlake as a UN

I still think Mittelwerk had his ponytail too. I noticed he wasn't moving his head very much. I think they had it strategically hidden to make him look more presentable. I agree christine2-everyone was commenting about him looking "younger" in the commercial. I think it's just good make-up and lighting. Seriously, we've all seen those starts w/o their make-up pictures before...yikes. I think it's the same theory here...make-up + lighting=TM looks better.

I think TWM still had his ponytail, or at least that there was on way in the commercial to tell whether he did or did not have it since he didn't turn his head much or show his back. I have known a couple of guys who had long ponytails but from the front looked like they had regular haircuts. was kind of shocking when they turned around and then you could see a long ponytail down their back

Lena's on dial-up for a while, which means that she has to tie up the phone line and deal with... dialup... so she doesn't get on as often. When these posts get up over 500 comments, the lag can get pretty bad and it would take forever on dial up.
