Clue #101 - Fragment Code "tribalwars"

Fragment Code "tribalwars" was discovered in a Jeep advertisement in this week's People Magazine. Plug this code in over at hansoexposed.com and you'll find that video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying, "Alvar Hanso". It appears that Mr. Beardy = Alvar Hanso after all...curious!

*Check out Matt the Pale's summary of all the found fragment codes at...Matt the Pale's HansoExposed Video Fragment Code List

Thanks to VA and Gunner for emailing us first about this code.

I'm usally a lurker...but this requires discussion...plus I felt bad knowing that if I wrote as much as I read...maybe I would have been included yesterday.

Anyhow......I think this is a weekend cliffhanger, which they want to give rto get us all excited, but is really leading us off the scent. If you watch the clips together in the "view" segment there is a slight almost non-distinguishable diffference between "I'm" and "Alvar Hanso" plus there is almost an audible difference in his tonality as well. Working as I do in an edit house, it makes me seem as if these two snippets were edited together, but since it's a long take, that's not possible. Thought?

Wow- so if Alvar is around 40 in this video (don't know what do you all think?) and this video is 1970 (is that right?) that means he would've been like 5 at the end of WWII....something is definitely fishy here....life extension? Am I doing all the math right?

OK, so let me understand this. "Alvar Hanso" is theoretically making this film in the late 70's/early 80's. He's mid to late 40's at this point. If we assume that he's 50 and the film is shot in 1980 that would mean he was 9 years old when WWII began. ???!? Perhaps we're dealing with someone who was hired by THF to "play" Hanso?

I'm still not 100% on board with Mr. Beardy=Alvar Hanso... This is too big to give away so soon. You'd think TPTB would want to hold onto this little morsel until nearer to the end of the glyph hand-outs. Additionally, the math just doesn't add up - his age, WWII, the date on this video, etc. Lastly, there is a slight change in tonality between those two clips - it may not necessarily belong where everyone's assuming it does. Just sayin'...

well both nanite and tribalwars have been the one two found in magazines right? specifically ads in magazines. and are the only two that are actual words, rather than codes - so perhaps real word codes do not have glyphs, while those with glyphs are random numbers and letters.

Noble, I agree that there may be some significance to the words, but I don't know about them being real world clues. Technically, you could consider the posters "found" by Ninja's crew and David's shirt as real world clues. But maybe there is something significant about magazine clues? Did that make any kind of sense?

Re: the glyphs I think that TPTB give the info to speaker, ninja, admin, Sprite, Jeep, etc. and tell them to distribute them, probably give them some guidlines, but then it is up to them to put them out there how they want. I think Jeep and Sprite just didn't get that the glyph was supposed to be released w/the code inside. Does this make sense?

Radio harvest is interesting. I have been checking it off and on for the last few days. The first time there was no music, just a high pitched tone, then a pause while a woman said "left" and a man said "right". Then it went back to the tone. About 30 seconds later the voices would say "left" and "right" again. Now it is all music. Everything makes me go "hmmmmmm" these days.

It is in fact "I'm Alvar Hanso." Listen closely to the audio in 4kvklaydm0 and you'll note that Beardy McBearderson/Alvar doesn't completely say "I'm"; rather, we hear roughly the first 2/3 or so of the soft "m" consonant being pronounced. The audio fragment at the beginning of the tribalwars clip is the "m" sound being completed. I disagree with the "change in tone" observation, as it's just the cadence of delivery. Not everyone see fit to run their syllables together. I would imagine that this particular cadence is deliberate on Beardy's behalf to be clear (after all, it's an informational/instructional film), an artifact of him not speaking English as a first language (debateable: I've met folks for whom English is not a native language but you'd never guess unless they told you), or a combination of the two.

Additionally, though it was a while ago, I must point out the following because I have yet to see it elsewhere (forgive me if I am wrong): I believe that the dialog in clips 3zgt+1ey8azczna2 is not "The precise location of the facility is known only to myself, the DeGroots, the few high-ranking members of my organization," but rather "The precise location of the facility is known only to myself, the DeGroots, *and a* few high-ranking members of my organization." I believe that Beardy McHanso's accent obscures the separation between the words "and" and "a". The fact that there's no suggested gap between these two clips, as well as the fact this also makes much, much more sense both logically and gramatically help considerably.

Sorry, I'm still catching up, but why do you want to compare the B&W picture of Alvar from the 1980 orientation (which someone found on like Getty Images, no? as well as no beard in the stock photo which is 5 years later...)

Maybe he started having a bad reaction to whatever helps make them younger or it hadn't been perfected and there was a side-effect and aged quickly (far fetched)... what would make a man age so quickly in a few years when in this video it is 1975 -- 13 years after the Cuban Missile Crisis, so it is 30 years since the end of WWII

8/11/2006 05:38:00 PM
Blogger belly0fdesire said...

... if the name Hanso was well known prior to Alvar's becoming a man, then it's possible that he could have become an arms dealer at the young age of 18 in World War 2, the film is dated 1975, which is a 33 year spread from 1942 (wwII)... that would make him 51 in the video IF he were 18 in WWII. That's a pretty young age to be an arms dealer, but it is possible... also, David pointed out to me, that Mittlewerk was recruited by Alvar at the young age of 18 as well...

8/11/2006 05:40:00 PM
Blogger Idaho Girl said...

I do think it's possible that Mr Beardy is and is not Alvar Hanso.

He isn't option: "I'm . . . Alvar Hanso Jr, acting head of The Hanso Foundation and son of . . . Alvar Hanso".

He is option: my own dad never looked his age for years and years. People were shocked when I would tell them he was 65 when they would have guessed 50. If this is Alvar, he might be older than he looks. I would put him at late 50's/early 60's. In 1975, that would have had him born in 1915, and in his early 30's at the end of WWII.

Glad to see I'm not the only one! Props to you yet again, IdahoGirl. Some people age very well. If you look closely at Alvar/Beardy in the clip, you can see tell-tale subtle signs of aging in his cheeks, but there are no other indicators of his age. There are of course the possibilities of there being fake hair/beard, though I must say they don't look especially fake and I cannot guess the purpose, unless this film is bunk and it's another deception...we know some presumed Dharma scientists have employed disguises, after all. :)

There's also the possibilities that this is a fake Alvar, the photo of Alvar in orientation film for Station 3 is phoney (it's already suspect, due to the oft-mentioned date discrepancy thing), or that both are in fact Alvar and that something caused him to age considerably between 1975 and the time the photo in the 1980 film was taken...

I didn't think the Hanso pic was on Getty. Some of the other people on THF.org were, but I thought the AH pic was something ABC had done for the Swan film.

As it is, though, the pic of AH on the web site is very fishy, since it brings up many questions of when the picture was actually taken.

Possible Pepper.

My $.02 on the film is that it does have some of the skips and jumps like the island films do, but it has probably been cared for better and has obviously been converted over to DVD for playing on a TV.

I think the films on the island will have more glitches, even though they are newer.

****SPOILERS****

The Swan film has not only been cut/edited at least once, and pieced back together, but Des watched it over and over again, providing a bit of wear.

The Pearl film would have been watched every time a new crew came to the location, every 3 weeks according to the film. So it would also have some wear.

Don't forget if Joop is 105 and orangutans only live to be about 50 in captivity then he has been the product of life extension since 1950 or even before so of course Alvar could look younger than you'd have thought he would in 1975

Also, what if Alvar is Magnus Hanso and there is a secret of HIS youth from when Magnus crashed on the island while on the Black Rock in 1881. Maybe part of his scientific quest after coming to the "good" side was to recreate what had happened to him on the island.

Or if Alvar IS the grandson of Magnus who disappeared in 1881, then he is probably over 100 years old right now and over 70 years old in that video, so he has obviously already benefited from some life extension.

Just some thoughts... make any sense?

It's already been established that Mangus is Alvar's grandfather.

Team Lena- I am delivering a message from Kinetic. He says, "He is talking smack about you, and you need to go to chat to defend yourself. Also, that MMJ wants your shirt." The moral of this message...go to chat and talk to Kin:)

TOO FUNNY ROFL!! I am on my way there right now, but my chat window is taking FOREVER to load.

MAC: makes perfect sense to me... I definitely wouldn't assume that Alvar didn't partake in the fruits of his research, and it would explain how young he looks in the video... He could be a young 51 in the film, but my suspicions are falling more on the LEP being involved...

The show is supposedly staying within possible science.

Age extention of 30 years I can even buy into.

But not 100 years.
