Clue #109 - Fragment Code "VACCINE"

Fragment Code "VACCINE" was hinted at by BroadBandBeatnick on the Retrievers of Truth site (Use "Steinbeck" as your password). He said to "take a tour" and "listen for a change". If you visit www.richerdeeperbroader.com and "Take Tour", your first stop is "Experience Movies". If you click on the speaker in the front left, you'll hear the sound of a woman's voice saying "vaccine". Enter this new fragment code at Hanso Exposed for the newest fragment of the video! The video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying, "Broadcasting in a frequency and encryption know only to us..."

Additional Info:
Still wondering about the Verizon Ad with a glyph but no code (the assumption is that it ties into the "vaccine" code) and also the Jeep Ad that says "theflashlight". Also, Apollo Candy has changed/added some of their distribution locations & dates.

Thanks to Maws03 and Adam for emailing us on this!

Thought I'd offer up my sign language interpretation from yesterday's video. I think it is a bit of a stretch but that it makes sense...

"Friends of Rachel, I am Mel. Apollo candy was conned by Mittlewerk into having chemists run tests on food products. Hackett found out something important, but Mittlewerk wouldn't allow the results to be given to the competition. They had a huge argument, and Hackett took the results and found a new person to give the information to, who will distribute it. Find out more at the giveaway. I have to warn people."

That is exactly what I got from that too. I had to wait until I got home from work last night to really take the time to look at it closely, but I think you are dead on with your translation. I took Sign language in high school so that was 15 years ago but I think that you are correct.

One of the NYC dates coincide with the NYC 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) 8/27 @ 7am & sponsored by Nike while on ABC-TV. It starts in central park goes through times sq. along the hudson river and ending in battery park.

Central Park on a Thursday night and Battery park after 10am on a Sunday... a BIG balloon is positively possible!!

The other dates & locations in other states may coincide with some cross-promotional PR for the show...

like the 1/2 marathon... anyone know what's happening in the other locations on those dates?

BTW - other "spoilers" I still haven't seen anyone mention Doc Jensen's 8/16 LOST popwatch - scroll down to a picture of "henry gale" at:

Anybody want to look at a larger version of the Verizon ad, but I don't notice ANYthing on the original except that everything but the copyright & verizon's logo are capital CASE...

To get it, go to the main apollocandy.com screen (the one with the Apollo bar in the middle and the links around the outside), then click the word "Apollo" in the top right-hand corner. (You may need to actually be in the UK for this to work). If you click the "UK Distribution" button, it just shows "Loading..." forever because the page doesn't actually exist yet.

Have a (whacky) idea re "Mel does it better" (sublymonal).
The vid title "The Chocolate Factory" is obviously reminiscent of the two movies "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)" and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)".
The latter was directed by Mel Stuart.
Maybe this is just an in-house joke by TPTB saying Mel Stuart made a better movie of Roald Dahl's book?

Give Blood, It's the Gift of Life!

WTOP Radio/ ABC 7/ Inova Blood Donor Services Blood Drive!

Friday, August 25
11am – 4pm
Fairfax County Community Services Center (Level 2, across from Gap)

Meet WTOP/ABC 7 Traffic Reporter Lisa Baden!
Free WTOP/ABC 7 Giveaways!
All donors registered to win a $300 Tysons Gift Card!*

It seems to me at least that they have gone for locations where local ABC stations are willing to sponsor the event and perhaps make the event more appealling to people not involve in the Lost Experience. Once more there seems to be a greater focus on money than keeping true to the orginal plan and keeping the orginal players involved.

I was just trying to make sense out of the literal translations.

Went over to richerdeeperbroader.com and cracked open the source code. There's an un-used java function called getAClue sitting towards the top of the page, and then down in the last chunk of code, their so-called 'websidestory' javascript, there is a long list of variables established at the very beginning, each of which is tagged with a comment explaining what it is used for, with the exception of the variable _vb, the value for which is the word 'parthenogenesis' and the comment simply contains an arrow pointing back to the word.

FWIW, I checked the Park Calendar and local ABC websites for events in Lexington, KY, but I didn't see anything on the same day. The only major event I saw is a UK vs Texas State football game going on the next day.

Too bad they couldn't make the date sooner. The KY State Fair is going on until 8/27.

If you go to Marymoor's website, you'll see that ABC is having a screening event for their new shows at 7pm. Here's the link again (scroll down to the August 24th date):

I'm thinking (if they don't change the dates again) that it will be at this event.

Yes, obviously they would have had to change the location.

I am not complaining...but I think Lexington is a odd choice - we don't usually get big events like this. However, we are only an hour from Lousiville and Cincinatti, so we could draw a lot of people. There must be a hot-bed of Consipispies living in the area.

Yea!

Makes sense to me... sort of confirms the Chocolate Factory video as in-game.

Amen brother! What about Phoenix?! I feel bad for all ya'll whose dates and locations were changed, but freakin Phoenix (and Denver as well) haven't been included in either list.
