Clue #96 - Fragment Code "E2LL1Z5E"

Fragment Code "E2LL1Z5E" was found on RachelBlake.com in her links section. Click the words Sri Lanka to see the new glyph. The video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying "was the Valenzetti Equation".

*Don't forget to check out our latest podcast (in the previous post) and also remember Matt the Pale's summary of all the found fragment codes at...Matt the Pale's HansoExposed Video Fragment Code List

Thanks to Donn & julesnotjewels for emailing us first about this and props to ib4uc for mentioning it first in the comments. Please remember to email us when new stuff comes out. :)

lost & ular98,

Haven't had coffee yet and don't always read comments if I have a lot going on. The one thing I ALWAYS, ALWAYS do is check the email regularly. If something new happens, the best way you guys can help us keep the blog up to date is by emailing. We're not trying to be lazy (I don't think anybody could accuse us of that) but we just really appreciate it when people email us.

Copy/paste from old comments from me:

Okay, maybe I'm stupid, or something, but I read this letter completely different than all of you...

I read that the psychotropic compound is being used in the Apollo bars, and the acid and flavoring agents [both normal things in soda] are good things to disguise the taste of the psychotropic compound FROM THE BAR. The soda covers up the taste of the candy so you don't know you're being infected by whatever.

But... That's just how I read it.

That could explain why Coke/Sprite allowed it, becuase they're talking about the bar being poisoned, not the soda.

And, ...this is the first time I've posted here in a while. haha. I've been on IRC for a whileee.

Agreed Damn-I saw David's post last night...and actually that is the first this I though of. The candy has the compound in it. So did Alvar help out the bankrupt Apollo company out of kindness and TWM has taken it over to plant psychotropic compounds in the chocolate for god knows what...OR did Alvar start this psychotropic stuff and TWM has nerely taken it over?

Also...great day yesterday; a glyph, Apollocandy.com went live, and this Hackett Flicker memo...things may be picking up!

Does anyone else have a problem using the hansoexposed.com site? I enter glyphs and arrange them and save the sequence. But when I login again the next time codes I have entered and arranged are removed from the lower section and put back into the storage area again. Then I have to rearrange them all over again. It is SO FRUSTRATING! I've tried to do this with Mozilla as well as Internet Explorer in the hope that it was a browser issue, but the same thing happens with both browsers. Anyone else out there having these problems too? Any idea what I'm doing wrong???

Thanks guys! I appreciate the fact the you are here and reading our posts and make this site a part of your Lost Experience. It is, IMHO, the best place to use as a hub to play the game. We all work very hard to make the site informative and accurate. While we not post things as quickly as possible, we do a pretty good job. I am on the East Coast, Belly is on the West, and David is in the middle, I am not sure where Young Wallace is, I think in the same area as David. So there is not too many times that there is no one from the Team here. Since I sit in fron of a PC all day at, ahem, work I do not jump on while at home too often. But if something happens while I am at work and I am not busy, I punce right on it with you guys. Again, thanks to you guys for making this so much fun and thanks to David for giving me the opportunity.

Now lets find more glyphs!!!

I think if the glyph is in the "open" world and it isn't found soon. TPTB will have to rethink and put it online. The players don't read all mags. and sign posts, etc.

lostfanatic- In he.com, if your sequence viewer shows an incorrect number of clips (after you have saved) you have to:
1. Go back to the sort page.
2. Move all of your clips from their spot to storage and back.
3. Re-save, and re-check on the viewer.
4. If the number is still incorrect, repeat and do not close HE.com until it is correct in your viewer.
I have posted this just about everyday as so many have problems...I hope TPTB figure out how to fix this so we don't have a "process" when we have all 70!

I personally think if the glyph is on the internet that it is hidden on a lost website for another country, like the catseye code was. I say if, because I would think that if it was on another countries website that somebody new would have shown up on the leaderboard with it.

If it's not on e web, I'm sure it will appear in a publication such as EW or TV Guide or it's on a bumper sticker on an old Jeep FC-150 parked 2 miles away from Ninja's house.

Not sure exaclty on the wording though. You're right though, if it doesn't turn up soon, Speaker will find a way to get it to us.

Ange and Damntheman:

It may not add up to much, but I'm sticking to my theory that "beverage" and "candy" issues are unrelated. (They may both be delivery systems, but not related.) Here's why -- EDC (and Hackett) has been working on testing the "beverage" since at least 1988, trying to find the right "fruity" combination to mask something. (Clue #61) Hackett works for EDC in 2006, and is up to no good. (According to Mel-O.)

In the 2004 memo, Downs tells Hackett that they have solved the problem, and they are eager for Hackett to re-join the project, as soon as he can "extricate himself" from whatever he's doing at Apollo Candy.

I don't see any evidence for hidden substance in the candy, although I'm willing to remain suspicious if only because of Hackett's involvement.

I'm also inclined to believe that the use of "viral" in this memo is used only to describe the distribution, not to imply a biological agent. (Probably, I'm spending too much time analyzing a Sprite product placement ad.)

Maybe it's a bad day for me but I'm a touch suspicious of your comment dazzedelf not sharing something on the grounds you don't want ot waste our time.

So many things we've seen have proven to be hoaxes or whatever, but it's always good to see them anyway, especially on slow days like these. Hoaxes yes, not useful, true, but waste of time? Never.

So I for one don't care if it proves to be crap or not - post the link and let us see.

I agree with you on this point for what it's worth. A psychotropic agent is not a virus but a hallucinogenic (I googled it:)). I wonder how this will tie in with Apollo Bars being the only food item on Lost without a DHARMA label.

Hello everyone!!

Don't any of you think that there is a connection between nanite and this virus info...

"A virus is a small particle that infects cells in biological organisms. Viruses are obligate intracellular parasites; they can reproduce only by invading and taking over other cells as they lack the cellular machinery for self reproduction."

The people on the island were ok with it and it could be snuck into medicine for 3rd world countries, but Hanso can't inject masses of people in Western society without their knowing it so they need a trasportation system for these nanites which must have a purpose still unknown to us.

If one of us were to ingest these nanites, they would be considered a virus to our systems.

marcus-the memo refers to psychotropic compound...which isn't really a virus. See CCS's post above for his/her thoughts.

Important to note: A Psychotropic drug or compound is the title of any chemical that alters brain function in such a way as to result in changes to the mood, consciousness, perception, or behaviour of the effected humanoid, these effects are usually temporary.

It's been said before and it's a serious stretch and play on words, but Lindelof & Cuse said that the Monster wasn't NANOBOTS. NANOMACHINES are something totally different however ;)

Nothing to say that the Monster isn't a cloud of Nanomachines controlled from a central location!

Ange-

I'm sorry that I didn't have time to walk through ALL the details as it looks like you've done a little research yourself.

but nano, nanites, etc. are referring to something of a particularly microscopic size and they can infect & reprogram us at the cellular level (i.e. including the fundamental biological processes of cognition, development, reproduction, and inheritance, etc.) and effecting brain function with a psychotropic value.

If Dr. Hackett has fine-tuned his process with the help of Hanso's scientific advancements, he won't need cola to hide a psychotropic taste as the nanites could carry on the task.

Just a "possible" idea/connection... it could still be a drug, but doesn't have to be.

BTW all, didn't Hugo eat an Apollo bar along the way?

It's only 15 seconds long and if it's just a local affiliate or even ABC's network maybe they were able to fit it into the tv show's alloted timeframe or somehow cut the program or just found the time to offset the ad revenue

But was it anything different than we've already seen?

Yes titanicgirl, but I didn't find anything there, but further down there is some weirdness with the Honcho (ca. 1970) it is supposed to have a video of an ad, but when you click it the quicktime viewer shows up but all you get is a ?

In the apollo website under The Company it says the early 1970's is when Hanso became involved... I don't know if all of this means anything, but I did see that every other car on that page- if it had a video link- all of them worked except the Honcho one.

I'm headed out, but Apollo existed BEFORE Hanso got involved so there shouldn't be a link between the name of the company and a Hanso (mythical gods or fire of the gods, etc.), but if you're looking for a connection as to why Alvar got involved...

The original Benson Chocolatiers were a scandanavian company and it may have been known that Apollo had the original recipe, BUT why doesn't the site specify which country until it says that Nils left Norway for the USA..?
