Behind the Art
I (David) just realized something really stupid that I did a long time ago. When I started this blog, I used what I believed to be the "official" TLE logo as a part of our banner and our podcast graphic. I was ignorant of the fact that TLE.com was a fan site and didn't even think about asking permission for or giving credit for the art. I just came to my senses and did some research. I wanted to finally give credit to "DocArzt" and thelostexperience.com for the artwork. I also wanted to let everyone know that they are graciously allowing us to continue using it on our site. Thanks a ton guys!

it seemed to me that the glyph in the EW has a URL on it, but when i looked at it as closely as possible, it was just too small to make anything out. So maybe it's worth looking at by someone else...

The EW with the James Bond cover has a glyph that has a different glyph than the people mag Hanso swoop, but all it says is www.monster.com

the people ad looks the same as EW, BUT the glyph is definitely different - the EW glyph has three vertical lines with a small horiz. line through them.
there's got to be a hint in there on where to look on Monster.

the people glyph was part of the tropic one so it reasons that that how we will know the new glyph on monster

a possible clue from the EW ad will be the contents of web page that the glyph is on. If we search Monster for the content it displays, maybe we'll see the glyph somewhere....

We are all not sure where to look. The hunt right now is just going to all in-game sites and hope for the best. Sometime's there is a clue on where to look, but like now, it's pretty much look up all in-game sights and see if you see anything funny...

That's the messed up thing about the glyph hunt... They DON'T give you any clues or hints...
Well, at least 99% of the time they don't.
You just have to luck out and know someone who may have seen a wierd ad somewhere, etc.

lostluvr29, You'll pop that into hansoexposed.com and get access to the fragment of the video assigned to it. You then have to take all the fragments and put them in order.

can't check CD, I'm in the wrong country. Just noted that the link to TV Guide was the only thing that has changed on the ABC Lost site and the entry on the TV Guide website with the magazine cover and CD is dated 8/28. Can't see anything on lostondvd.com either.

there's definitely a url under the glyph, but with my eyes it's way too small to be even printed legibly on the page.
but seeing that the People mag monster ad was the same but with a different glyph (hanso 'leaf') this tells me that there's a sencond glyph to be found on monster.com

All: I'm on the fence about this monster glyph. Either they are trying to lead more people to the tropics code or a new one will show up soon on Monster.com. I'm leaning towards the latter option since the glyph is different...I'm refreshing monster.com waiting for a new poll. :)
the glyph in the ad is the one from the gary troup website only they changed the arc from up to down ( don;t know how else to describe it). now i don't know if the code is the same can't make it out.

I am also working on scanning this to see the URL clearly. Initially it does look like Monster.com, but we want to be sure.

the first monster glyph corresponds to the logo for tropicstravel so I would reason that this othe rone coresponds to something else

You know what tires me about this point right here in the hunt for glyphs? It's that in the past we have found the glyph and punched it in, and the code was not accepted right when we found it, so we continue to peddle steam in the search. But then later, sometimes days later, the same code is accepted. So here we are runing around like loonies when we may already have punched in the correct glyph but just don't know it yet. Puh. Sorry, just had to vent. :-| Hope that you all are finding it as I type.
just a side thought while waiting for my scanner. Both monster ads say "you are the GENERAL MANAGER of you.

my first attempt at a 2400X2400 scan is coming up now. If it is good what email address d i send it to so it can be distributed to he masses for tweaking. (shading, gradiation, etc)

that code is not meant to be read, either this is a repeat hint for tropics and we should be looking somewhere lese, or there will be something on monster.com later.

I tend to think that the nature of the printing process has rended that 'code' illedgible, so I doubt a higher res scan will be any more helpful. Either there is a new glyph/code coming to Monster.com... or they expect us to randomly enter 13-character codes to HE...
either my eyesight is going really early on in life, or the code/glyph is in a different language

if you zoom way in, the first letters look like 44X, or 4XX
looking for a magnifying glass now.
It almost looks like one of those "secret" code type things where you have to put a filter in front of it to bring out the actual message. You know, kind of like red cellophane stuff like in 3d glasses. Do you know what I mean (or am I just sounding like a fool)? If there was something to filter out the circles in the background, maybe you could read the letters. ....just guessing
713 is as clear as day, monster is an optical illusion
i'm scanning at 4800X4800 to see if it renders any better results.
I've been playing with a magnifying glass. Getting nowhere. I do think it says: www.-------com. Just can't make out what's inbetween www and .com.
