Clue #131 - Fragment Codes "KCQBMLI6" & "ZR2JI"

Fragment Code "KCQBMLI6" was found in 4 pieces on a glyph hunt beginning on Ninja's MySpace Page. He has a blog posted on myspace and it ends by saying, "These aren't the droids you're looking for..." (piece 1) and then gives us a clue that leads us back to this post on his blog. When you check thel link Other Girl's got the scoop, you get piece 2. Finally, on his latest post, he ends his post by saying, "And finally, I hope you've got your detective caps on...? (Notice the hidden link? Piece 3) Near my seal begins the tasking, it's the question we're all asking..." If you go to his post featuring his seal, you'll find that his Where is Alvar link isn't really what it appears to be (It's piece 4).

All that work is worth it because the video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying, "That is the work to which you have comitted yourselves. Change the core values of the Valenzetti Equation, and you will change the course of destiny."

Fragment Code "ZR2JI" was found on the London live-glyph hunt. Dacky, Ian, and one other person were some of the first to the scene. They sent us pictures of the glyph painted in the grass (close up) and also the glyph on a clear sheet of acetate. The video fragment is of Mittlewerk saying, "And in spite of every effort of the Foundation, we are gripped in the tyranny of those six Numbers."

Stay up to date with your hansoexposed.com fragment codes by visiting Matt the Pale's Fragment Code List.

Thanks to Donn, Sleeper, and Lavenda for emailing us about these codes. Also, we wanted to give a shout out to Pzy, Dissonation, Matt the Pale, & Main for contributing significantly to the glyph hunting.

In other news, a few of us had a great time gathering together at the Dallas Apollo Candy giveaway event on Wednesday night (sponsored by our local ABC affiliate - check out their blog covering TLE). We all got plenty of Apollo Bars so be looking for our pictures on whereisalvar.com and count on us sending our extras to apollotrade.blogspot.com as soon as we get the chance!

There's nothing earth shattering in the last fragment it's just going to link pfkab5qxk and flho6cum181 into a sentence, probably only something like "a mechanism to identify and eliminate a host with a specific genetic makeup".

I really hope this 71 fragment count I've seen isn't just a bug in HE.com otherwise this is all anticlimactic.

Rachel's information through whereisalvar.com better be good :(

Are there really people out there still holding out hope that 'Mr. Beardy' is not Alvar Hanso? Still waiting anxiously for that last secret frag that will reveal his true identity? I mean c'mon guys...'Mr. Beardy' = Alvar Hanso. We've know it for months now. Please stop using that ridiculous nickname when refering to him in your clues.

I agree with your mother (or is it my mother?). Great pic of all you guys, by the way. I'm hoping it will be a long clip explaining what the numbers are the answers to in the Valenzetti Equation. Something like: "4 is the number of atoms bombs dropped, 8 is the number of years until something something happens." It would just be upsetting to get all these fragments together just to tell us that the numbers are the answer to the Valenzetti Equation and not explain the actual equation.

using the order on the lostpedia page, it seems the last video will be of alvar (between RXMHJH9Y and XQGRMH)... alvar starts taking about changing "those core factors" in the next sentence, so hopefully he will tell us what the factors (the numbers) are... It would be cool to hear him actually say 4,8,15,16,23,42

Here's hoping the last fragment is 10 minutes long!

Good mornng everyone! your mother, you are a smart, insightful woman - that IS a fine looking group.

The giveaway went very well. After watching previews of Ugly Betty and Men in Trees, there was a big drawing for some gift baskets...Admin didn't mention this, but he was a big winner and is now the proud owner of the Super Nanny book. All trolls on this site can expect to be sent to the Naughty Chair now. The Shade fellows were there, handing out some amusing flyers about the Apollo Bars containing pure evil.

As we walked out, everyone was handed a bar. Once the theater was cleared, they offered those of us milling about a second bar. No fights, no riots, unless you count Ms. O warning the masses at the top of her lungs "The Candy is Full of Drugs!". Awesome and very funny.

The only golden oracle that I know of was mysteriously found by someone who appears to be an employee of ABC. Coincidence?

All in all, a terrific evening. It was awesome to put names to faces, though I felt a little peculiar introducing my self as fastenyourseatbelts. ;>)

When I view my sequence, instead of stopping at the end the last frame is now one of those gray frames, as though there's a clip missing. Maybe when we have our sequence filled correctly it will unlock that final clip? Does anyone else see that when they play thier sequence in "View"?

Probably just wishful thinking.

The only problem with the Sri Lanka video and the Numbers is that it's not consistent with what the guy Hurley got the numbers from said. The old crazy guy (can't remember his name) said he heard the numbers transmitted during WWII while he was a radio operator. The Valenzetti Equation wasn't commissioned until the 60's. Alvar Hanso then built the transmitter along with all the other stuff on the island. So, where was the signal the old guy heard coming from???

EXCELLENT! So I'm not going mad then as both of you have seen the same extra fragment slot as I mentioned a few posts back.

Fingers crossed this is not a glitch, but in the grand scheme of things even if this IS a hidden fragment I'm not sure what more it can show us other than Rachel's escape.

Then again as somebody's looking out for Rachel inside THF (as Mr. Fixer said) maybe this 71st fragment is actually her guardian angel busting her out and then explaining everything that's missing on tape.

That would be VERY cool.

But, the 71st fragment is going to be a glitch, isn't it :((

There are certainly a large number of number stations trnasmitting numbers across the world.

The Wikipedia entry says:

Numbers stations are shortwave radio stations of uncertain origin. They generally broadcast people reading streams of numbers, words, or letters (sometimes using a phonetic alphabet).

The voices that can be heard on these stations are often mysterious: mechanically generated; spoken in a wide variety of languages; usually female, but sometimes male or those of children.

Evidence supports popular assumptions that the broadcasts are channels of communication used to send messages to spies. This has not been publicly acknowledged by any government that may operate a numbers station, but in one case, numbers station espionage has been publicly prosecuted by a US court.

Numbers stations appear and disappear over time (although some follow regular schedules), and their overall activity has increased slightly since the early 1990s. This increase suggests that when they were spy-related phenomena, they were not unique to the Cold War.

The Wikipedia entry : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_stations

even mentions lost

Rachel is going to admit that she works for THF (but only because she was blackmailed by TWM) She's doing their dirty work to find out from TWM where her grandfather/great grandfather, Alvar Hanso is... They'll find him, and he would have been on the Island since he vanished all those years ago. Which also means that Hanso is "he/him" on the series...

Now what about the golden oracles?

9/07/2006 11:03:00 AM

Peace; I assumed from Rachel's intent of the WIA, that it is to expose TWM's secret evil plan to as many people around the world as poss, thereby shutting him down when he finds out that he's been discovered. That would be Rachel's payoff.

But what the payoff is for us, I haven't a clue. :-)

dark angel, that's what I thought originally, but know I believe it's going to be alot more than that. Firstly, finding the location of Alvar is almost irrelevent, besides from RB's seemingly obsessive reasons for wanting to find him. If we find out where he is.. well so what!? It won't really progress the story at all.

Plus RB could have told us already if that's all it was. Alvar Hanso is supposedly seen as a good guy by the public, and apart from the mystery of his whereabouts there is no interest in him so why would she say "only when enough of the world is watching". That says to me that when a large enough percentage of bars have been uploaded to WIA.com we won't recieve actual information to progress the story, rather than "further instructions", as she put it herself. She also says (in the Instructions at WIA.com) "you won't want to miss what I have to show you". If all she is going to say is "Alvar's in insert country here", then would all of this really have been necessary?

I believe the WIA.com phase of the ARG won't be complete until Oct-23-06 (the 'Enjoy By' date on EVERY bar, including the images, we've seen so far). Uploading the pictures of the Apollo bars will be part one, then we'll recieve further instructions (not sure what, though, obviously). The end result may be the location of Alvar, but I think it'll be alot more than that, but we won't find out until October 23rd.

Nice seeing everyone who was at the Times Square event yesterday!

It was definitely better organized than any of the other events in NYC.
Overall, I was impressed with this event.
I still can't believe that there was waitstaff serving free hors d'oeuvres, desserts and coffee, and an open bar!
I didn't take advantage of that bar, though, as I couldn't justify having a drink that early.
I hope that the other Acura Apollo events are like this for people who attend them in other areas.

I have pics, of course, but not uploaded right now. I was exhausted at the end of the day yesterday, and I don't have them at work with me right now.

Inengland; I always thought that "Him" meant Alvar also, but when I was re-watching S2 this week, sometimes Fenry says "Him" with a kind of fear in his demeanor. Now I wonder if "Him" is TWM? I'm a SAHM (stay at home mom) homeschooler of two, 4 and 19 months. Althought I don't know why they call us that. We were at the YMCA this morning for a class and we're going back this afternoon for swim lessons. Hardly every home for long.

And let's not forget while we're recounting people and occupations our two now 8th graders, Dr. Chris Spongebob and his friend whose name I regretfully can't remember. They've started school and aren't on now during the day anymore. :-)

Payoff for WIA.com is another video:

[grey-haired, yet familiar man looking out of a window with a familiar, dark-haired girl by his side. Both turn to face the camera]

"I'm Alvar Hanso. If you are watching this film, then you already know and have fought Thomas Werner Mittelwerk, genius and mastermind of the SPIDER Protocol. You will also know that the ongoing fight now calls for our colaboration..."

[Goes on to fully explain what happened after DHARMA failed, TWM's rise to power, Hanso's disappearance and how to stop them]

Now THAT would be cool and worth the wait :D:D

It has to be something big though since Rachel's words from the very start of WIA.com are "when enough people are watching". WIA.com is a device by Rachel to get everybody looking at WIA.com to reveal her information to as big an audience as possible. As we all know it's only the Golden Oracles that are counted to unlock her information, but you can only find them by getting the candy to begin with.

twinkle: It's funny you mentioned Dr. Spongebob. I was just thinking he hasn't been on in a while (that I've seen). I guess I didn't realize he was in the 8th grade.

shakey: i really really hope we get a big reveal like that. seems like it has been shown that the % found and golden oracles are essentially independent of each other. tptb have set the % found pace to hit their target on the predetermined release date.

peaceandnamaste: What about Mittlework? No one's even uncovered that much about him yet. Not sure what to look under - wierd guys with long ponytails?

Also did either of the casting calls for the parts we think are Alvar Hanso or Mittlwork call for personal appearances? That would be interesting to know.

Has anyone started looking through the season 2 dvd's for easter eggs and potential ARG clues?

I've looked through a bit, and found some interesting stuff. Nothing relating to the ARG that I know of yet, but interesting stuff anyway.

Most of us didn't! He mentioned it a couple times though. I think he was a 7th grader moving to 8th but he might just be a 7th grader. Funny, huh? Knowing that, he's a neat kid.
