Clue #131 - Fragment Codes "KCQBMLI6" & "ZR2JI"
All that work is worth it because the video fragment is of Mr. Beardy saying, "That is the work to which you have comitted yourselves. Change the core values of the Valenzetti Equation, and you will change the course of destiny."
Fragment Code "ZR2JI" was found on the London live-glyph hunt. Dacky, Ian, and one other person were some of the first to the scene. They sent us pictures of the glyph painted in the grass (close up) and also the glyph on a clear sheet of acetate. The video fragment is of Mittlewerk saying, "And in spite of every effort of the Foundation, we are gripped in the tyranny of those six Numbers."
Stay up to date with your hansoexposed.com fragment codes by visiting Matt the Pale's Fragment Code List.
Thanks to Donn, Sleeper, and Lavenda for emailing us about these codes. Also, we wanted to give a shout out to Pzy, Dissonation, Matt the Pale, & Main for contributing significantly to the glyph hunting.
In other news, a few of us had a great time gathering together at the Dallas Apollo Candy giveaway event on Wednesday night (sponsored by our local ABC affiliate - check out their blog covering TLE). We all got plenty of Apollo Bars so be looking for our pictures on whereisalvar.com and count on us sending our extras to apollotrade.blogspot.com as soon as we get the chance!

top ten??
Yes! Matt the Pale did do an awesome job. Sorry for taking so long to get this up, my work email is down and that is where all of your clue emails get forwarded to so I was going by what was said in comments and IRC chat. David got the post finished and up.
My prediction is the last segment is of either Beardy or TWM saying "4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42".
Maybe the last clip will be "EXECUTE"
Top 20?
Good Morning Everybody!
Maybe the last clip will just be a clue for the next 70 fragments....
Perhaps this is how they are going to broadcast the whole of series 3 - it only take about 12,500 fragments ;)
That sure is a good lookin' group of people there ... :)
Morning all. I think I've got to agree that there is nothing terribly earth shattering in the final frag ... unless that frag is like, 5 minutes long and we don't know about it...
meh... catch up only to be behind the 8 ball again... I'm going to bed... so the last glyph will probably be released within half an hour
except to say that the wv for this post is toerug...
Hey David, I bet it was a great time indeed, the picture of you guys with a bar each is great!!!! I'm jealous of you people. I hope I could do the same thing with some of the portuguese TLEC users and fans who get bars to do a meeting like that!
Cheers!

I agree with your mother (or is it my mother?). Great pic of all you guys, by the way. I'm hoping it will be a long clip explaining what the numbers are the answers to in the Valenzetti Equation. Something like: "4 is the number of atoms bombs dropped, 8 is the number of years until something something happens." It would just be upsetting to get all these fragments together just to tell us that the numbers are the answer to the Valenzetti Equation and not explain the actual equation.
Good mornng everyone! your mother, you are a smart, insightful woman - that IS a fine looking group.
The giveaway went very well. After watching previews of Ugly Betty and Men in Trees, there was a big drawing for some gift baskets...Admin didn't mention this, but he was a big winner and is now the proud owner of the Super Nanny book. All trolls on this site can expect to be sent to the Naughty Chair now. The Shade fellows were there, handing out some amusing flyers about the Apollo Bars containing pure evil.
As we walked out, everyone was handed a bar. Once the theater was cleared, they offered those of us milling about a second bar. No fights, no riots, unless you count Ms. O warning the masses at the top of her lungs "The Candy is Full of Drugs!". Awesome and very funny.
The only golden oracle that I know of was mysteriously found by someone who appears to be an employee of ABC. Coincidence?
All in all, a terrific evening. It was awesome to put names to faces, though I felt a little peculiar introducing my self as fastenyourseatbelts. ;>)
Good job hunting down these 2 glyphs. Now, to get that last 1... hope it's a good one.
so only one piece missing. Anyone have all their fragments together in order yet?
FYSB - let's not forget about Admin's favorite prize in that gift basket: The Dr. McDreamy hat!
fysb: Thanks. It sounds like you all had a good time. And, did anyone listen to Ms. O? If I was there and didn't know anything about TLE, I would have been like, "Holy crap!"
It is always nice to put faces to names.
I still have visions of Meeting Thrasher76, Nightcrawler, Dennis etc and finding that none of them are using Avatars here but their real pictures.
Oh and my picture is not photoshopped in anyway at all....
jackbauer - I believe mr. beardy = Alvar Hanso, but I sometime like still calling him Mr. Beardy, because I just like saying and reading Mr. Beardy.
Hey bpfinn!
My favorite name of a new person we met was "omgfloofy" from the fuselage.
Sounds like you all had so much fun!
What do we think? Will the last one be today or tomorrow?
Also I came across this bit in a magazine. Google has been sending letters to publications asking them not to use their name as a verb. So this one magazine came up with FWSE (famous Web Search Engine) pronounced "foosie." Cracks me up! I'll be FWSEing from now one!
I was glad to see y'all last night. Thanks to FYSB for coorinating. Thanks to the Granada Theater for hosting. And thanks to Chanel 8 for sponcering this shindig. This was a good excuse for us to get together, I hope we can do it again somtime.
Dig y'all later
helgus: too funny!
wv: urpub - your pub or mine?
helgus: LSHNEMB
(laughing so hard nanites exploded my brain!)
Hi Twinkle
I hear about that Google were worried that theit brand name would become a generic verb like to hoover or to xerox and people would use to google to describle any web search.
I better be careful saying I am going to be TLECing - David's lawyers will be after me....
OMG Noble Lawyer you're not working for David are you
oops,
missed the new post. Some more theorizing at the end of the last post it you are interested.
Looks like you guys had FUN! Nice to put some faces to names. Great tan, David.
Oh, and Totengräber - I hear there is good employment in Sri Lanka... ;)

Yeah, I dig that.
Gota go 10-7 now.
OMG - what happened to my grammer - sorry I made no sense -I'm at work and that's what happen when men try and multitask!
Hello, Dark Angel! Well I'm off for the day. Find that last glyph for me! ;-)
yes I am Admin's secret counsel ;)
dark angel - I can't believe you even attempted to multi-task. As a man you should know better....oh wait, you are a man so could not have known better ;)

Wrong side of the Atlantic for me - I wanted to get to London today but my wife would not approved of taking holiday to find a glyph!
You should see what happens when I iron and watch TV at the same time (yes, I do the ironing) - I still have the scars ;)
The only problem with the Sri Lanka video and the Numbers is that it's not consistent with what the guy Hurley got the numbers from said. The old crazy guy (can't remember his name) said he heard the numbers transmitted during WWII while he was a radio operator. The Valenzetti Equation wasn't commissioned until the 60's. Alvar Hanso then built the transmitter along with all the other stuff on the island. So, where was the signal the old guy heard coming from???
It is possible that there are breaks in the orientation film - there were in the others.
Maybe TVW has removed the shot of him as an intern getting coffee for Mr Beardy/Alvar Hanso
Lostpedia has a complete breakdown of the Sri Lanka video. It includes a written transcript and frame by frame analysis of each clip. They seem to have the order nailed down.
Mrs o?
hey everyone... just wanted to drop in to say hey and let you know I haven't disappeared... Been really busy lately--haven't even had a chance to upload my Apollo pic from last week! But I should get to that tonight... The last week and a half has flown by and I can't keep up with all the glyphs--thanks to the TLEC community for keeping on top of things so I can mooch the frags. ;-) Can't wait for #70!
Ok, back to working/lurking :-)

Hi Nitsea
I do fing having TLEc on screen at work helps the day go quicker although I am not sure of the effect on productivity ;)
GOOD MORNING TLEC!!!
Right on, 1 more glyph...Nice to see that everyone had a great time in Dallas...Well, super excitied to see if today is the day our glyph hunting ends...
Hello All... nice pics on the front page.. good to put faces to names... hopefully I can do the same come tomorrow's event in Kentucky.. will have the whole family there.. should be fun since they are all convinced I should be locked up!
wv: wlbbd - will be bad....
Yep, that's what I look like. Rawr.

Was there any Lost previews at the Red Carpet event? Or just UB and MIT?
Just UB and MIT ... some previews before the shows, but none for Lost. The crowd was pretty disappointed.
It is all about not doing real work at work and doing the work of TLE that matters!!! I know it better than most!!!
And some men can mutli-task!! Just not very well!!!
ROTFLMAOWSPOMN
(Rolling on the floor laughing my arse off while sprite pours out my nose!!!)
how do you think we'll find the last glyph guys?
What's up tapdawg, long time no see...I hope they make the last glyph a challenge to find and it would be nice if it were like a 2 minute clip or something.
Morning to all and the lucky Dallas people: Great photos! Glad your event went smoothly.
Well, the last frag better be smething really earthshaking...and long and detailed...
From these last two frags it almost seems like Alvar's goal was to change the core values to save the world and TWM goal is has been determined by trying everything to change those values and failing.
Aah back to real work - I was distracted by the files on my desk.
Is there anyone here not at work?
I'm Hanso Foundation Tech Support.
j/k I'm a mobile software developer.
There are certainly a large number of number stations trnasmitting numbers across the world.
The Wikipedia entry says:
Numbers stations are shortwave radio stations of uncertain origin. They generally broadcast people reading streams of numbers, words, or letters (sometimes using a phonetic alphabet).
The voices that can be heard on these stations are often mysterious: mechanically generated; spoken in a wide variety of languages; usually female, but sometimes male or those of children.
Evidence supports popular assumptions that the broadcasts are channels of communication used to send messages to spies. This has not been publicly acknowledged by any government that may operate a numbers station, but in one case, numbers station espionage has been publicly prosecuted by a US court.
Numbers stations appear and disappear over time (although some follow regular schedules), and their overall activity has increased slightly since the early 1990s. This increase suggests that when they were spy-related phenomena, they were not unique to the Cold War.
The Wikipedia entry : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_stations
even mentions lost
I'm a Shipping/Receiving Clerk at L-3 Communications...When there's nothing to receive or ship, (which is all the time since business is slow here) I'm at my computer with my super fast network chatting it up with you guys...
Welcome Shy, I used to be just like you a long time ago...
Good morning everyone! I'll be in n out today(mmmmmmmmm socal people, in n out)but i had to thank you David/admin for the front page shoutout! Looks like you guys had fun, and those bars will go to a LOT of people!
Ok, back to not being on the internet at work! Finish that video, people!!!
ummmm, I'm a lawyer. A Maritime lawyer
In answer to the occupations query.
I deal with commercial liability (and some property claims) for an Insurance company although I trained as a Zoologist so go figure?
boyo, it's good work if you can get it!
Hi Shy
I know what you mean - I was on here at the start under my real name and then lurked for quite a while and then bounced back into full chatter mode about a week or two back.
good morning.... I am a program mananger for 4-H and EFNEP at UC Cooperative Extension
dark angel: I'm home today with a sick child but I usually do this at work also. So, c'mon and release the last glyph already...
shakey...porn baron? lshnemb
i'm in marketing. for an accounting firm.
Is the final glyph going to be in a MAJOR difficult place, be released tonight and not be able to be found until next week?!
I'm a programmer.
I actually wrote a program similar to the "Fragment Status Watcher" on MtP's site. :)
I call it the Glyph Sniffer 2000!
IB4UC
Hope your son/daughter gets better soon, I was at home with the kids on Monday but it's no fun when there sick.
Both mine are very skilled at the Daddy targetted projectile vomit!
Looking at WIA.com am I the only one who feels bad for middle america. It seems like the East Coast is covered, LA, and Seatle, but what about Wyoming, Montana, Louisiana, and their surrounding states got screwed!?!
What a great picture of the Dallas event!
As for TLEC vs. work productivity, TLEC activity = increased morale. Increased morale = increased work productivity! :-)
In Bigblue-Land they tell us that we are in charge of our own morale, so there ya go. My occupation: retired ex-Beemer.
dark angel: thanks, and it's my daughter. Oh, what an ear infection can do to a little one.
inenglandandlost: I sure as heck hope they don't wait to release the last one! But you never know with this game...
shy_extrovert don't feel any pressure to contribute anything meaningful here.
As long as you're good company we're all happy.
InEnglandandLost and myself had a completely meaningless conversation about the relitive merits (or lack thereof) of various English Counties the other day whilst everyone else was away.
It's all fun and that's what counts.
Glad to have you on board
Boy; yes, I am a car reincarnated as a human. :-) No, IBMer = Beemer. Don't know if the IBMer-hating locals made that up as a derogatory moniker, or if employees made it up to call themselves that.
ah the memories about counties in England! and accents - I remember it well... So glad we have the community!!!!
Boy; You're probably correct. The post-Watson-era IBMers got pretty big heads, so they most likely deemed themselves as top of the line BMW status humans. :-p
Rachel is going to admit that she works for THF (but only because she was blackmailed by TWM) She's doing their dirty work to find out from TWM where her grandfather/great grandfather, Alvar Hanso is... They'll find him, and he would have been on the Island since he vanished all those years ago. Which also means that Hanso is "he/him" on the series...
I guess the obvious pay off from WIA would be the location of alvar himself.
my theory anyway!
Vitruvian Man said...
Oh, I'm a Product Designer for a Pharmaceutical company.
Not the Hanso Foundation?
Peace; I assumed from Rachel's intent of the WIA, that it is to expose TWM's secret evil plan to as many people around the world as poss, thereby shutting him down when he finds out that he's been discovered. That would be Rachel's payoff.
But what the payoff is for us, I haven't a clue. :-)
Well Guys,
time for me to head off home, bath the kids, walk the dog etc...
I'll try and check in later
Namaste...
Good morning everybody! Nice Dallas pics. Looks like ya'll had a lot of fun- glad it turned out well for you!
Hope they don't tease us with the release of the last glyph...let's move on to the next phase!
I see we're listing occupations?
I'm Hanso IT as well ;)
Ok, not exactly. I have a broad IT title that focuses mainly on web development right now.
Dissonation set up the current chat room and is a regular in there. He's from the UK.
Im a hospital receptionist. Screw the sick people, I've got glyphs to find!
Occupations?
I'm a stay at home mom of 3. Used to be a nurse- critical care.
I am a lowly Travel Agent...but my background is in retail management with Sears...and I am trying to get back into that line of work....
Nice seeing everyone who was at the Times Square event yesterday!
It was definitely better organized than any of the other events in NYC.
Overall, I was impressed with this event.
I still can't believe that there was waitstaff serving free hors d'oeuvres, desserts and coffee, and an open bar!
I didn't take advantage of that bar, though, as I couldn't justify having a drink that early.
I hope that the other Acura Apollo events are like this for people who attend them in other areas.
I have pics, of course, but not uploaded right now. I was exhausted at the end of the day yesterday, and I don't have them at work with me right now.
On the gylph/video topic:
So do we all have the empty slot in the same location at HE?
Inengland; I always thought that "Him" meant Alvar also, but when I was re-watching S2 this week, sometimes Fenry says "Him" with a kind of fear in his demeanor. Now I wonder if "Him" is TWM? Mr. Beardy doesn't seem too scary in the video, more like a frumpy corduroy-suited professor type. But the others also say "Him" sometimes with a kind of awe-filled reverence. I dunno.
Hi all! I used to post a LOT in the beginning, but you know how life can get in the way of what you'd rather be doing. I havnen't actually been playing much, but I have somehow managed to keep up with what's going on in the game. Thank God all you happy glyph hunters are out there! The game would have been unplayed if it had been soley up to me. =o) Keep up the GREAT work!
Missmegs and Scoutpost; Two years ago I spent 6 months in/out of hopsitals, so to you and all your fellow hospital workers, thank you for all that you do to make hospital experiences less traumatic for us patients. It really makes a difference. XO
Since we're all spilling the beans about our real lives: I'm "just" a homemaker. Lucky me, huh? I have alllll day to do this! LOL
I'm hoping the final revelation of this game will be Rachel and Alvar meeting and their relationship confirmed! That's where WIA might be heading,
Since we're talking about occupations...
I'm Managing Editor of a journal about landmines
Since we're talking about occupations...
I'm Managing Editor of a journal about landmines
maven: what's with the "I'm just a homemaker"? That a full-time job in itself!
I don't mean that in a nasty way.
morning all, since it seems to be share your occupation day, im an electrical engineer. yup, i get to drive electric trains all the live long day!
Oh, and speaking of occupations, I work for an Industrial chemical company. Been there 21 years.
Occupation: I am an Oracle DBA crosstraining to be a SQL Server DBA (cuz the job asked me to) for the Research Department of a Children's Hospital.
How incredibly cool would be to get a clue to find Alvar and when you go to find him he is standing all alone in a field or something and he hands you the last code...then says "Thank you and Namaste"! and walks away...
capcom - why thank you, but send the thanks along to scoutpost more than me, all I do is take your money and tell you where to wait; usually the LEAST appreciated of hospital workers! haha
kylelane-
You'd be surprised.
No, I'm not going to make it to DC tonight. With it being 2 hours away on a weeknight, it just isn't convenient. Plus I already got to go to the Tyson's event, so I've got my Apollo bar. Wish I could come out and meet some new folks--hope everyone has fun!

wv: eoeyo - and bingo was his name-o
Just wanted to say welcome aboard Shy... It took me a while to start posting also as I did not feel I had much to contribute.... I still find some of the topics of discussion quite enthralling and I have learned so much from some of the brightest people I have ever been in contact with... This is such a GREAT community!!!

ib4 - Bengals fan??? I did not realize you were in Cincy.. I am in Cincy at work as we speak... Not a Bengals fan though.. my team sucks REALLY bad so I won't even mention them...
ib4uc: Thanks. I say "just" because my son is 24 and married! I do deal with a mother in a nursing home, though. I did pay my dues (I worked in television), and I'm enjoying my life now.
Fascinating all the various occupations.
I hope this last frag is earth-shattering and at least 10 minutes long! LOL Hoping the pace picks up after this video is finally done (any minute now) and we head towards Rachel and Alvar meeting up and confirming their relationship.
Occupation: Senoir GIS Specialist
dixxee: yeah, I'm from Cincy. Born and bred.
Capcom...

ANNOUNCMENT!!!!
Who here is planing on going to the Philly event at Smith & Wollensky on Saturday?
Please go to TapDawg's site and see who else is going. Or email me via the TLEC email with my name as the subject. We are trying to organize a meeting spot and a time...
Nitesea: I heard some really cool stuff in a science about rats sniffing out landmines and other ways to diffuse old ones. Really interesting stuff.
I'm a SAHM (stay at home mom) homeschooler of two, 4 and 19 months. Althought I don't know why they call us that. We were at the YMCA this morning for a class and we're going back this afternoon for swim lessons. Hardly every home for long.
And let's not forget while we're recounting people and occupations our two now 8th graders, Dr. Chris Spongebob and his friend whose name I regretfully can't remember. They've started school and aren't on now during the day anymore. :-)
Ian Patrick Henry!!!!
Wow, my last nem is Henry and I'm a decendent of Patrick Henry. Wonder if we're related???
ib4uc - I can't say I am born and bred as I am originally from Connecticut.. but my husbands family is all from this area... been here 5 years as of August... It took a bit but it has grown on me and I am starting to love it here! Nice to sorta meet a nieghbor...
I'm a copywriter for a broadcasting company!
I guess that means I live off of my husband's job at IBM. ;-) Go Beemers!
Nitesea: That was a science *magazine*. Sorry
twinkle: It's funny you mentioned Dr. Spongebob. I was just thinking he hasn't been on in a while (that I've seen). I guess I didn't realize he was in the 8th grade.
inengland: are you saying I'm secretly a meanie? lol. I guess for all you guys know, I could be. Maybe i'm working for a Hanso hospital, distributing virus chocolates.
dixxee: I love it here in Cincy. I couldn't imagine raising my family anywhere else. So, howdy neighbor.
well all, off to a meeting.. hopefully it won't take too long.. and maybe the last glyph will be released while I am away...
shakey: i really really hope we get a big reveal like that. seems like it has been shown that the % found and golden oracles are essentially independent of each other. tptb have set the % found pace to hit their target on the predetermined release date.
Missmegs - you've LOST me!?!
peaceandnamaste: What about Mittlework? No one's even uncovered that much about him yet. Not sure what to look under - wierd guys with long ponytails?
Also did either of the casting calls for the parts we think are Alvar Hanso or Mittlwork call for personal appearances? That would be interesting to know.
ib4uc said...

Most of us didn't! He mentioned it a couple times though. I think he was a 7th grader moving to 8th but he might just be a 7th grader. Funny, huh? Knowing that, he's a neat kid.
Do you think that the last fragment won't be released until WIA hits 100%?
anyway - I'll pick all this up tomorrow - Slaters all!
Does anyone else think that HE will go banana's when we enter the final code? I think it is going to automatically order the clips correctly and then play it with a small clip of Rachel at the end telling us what to do next...
Thoughts?
shakey, that would be very cool.
alternatively,
Rachel Blake is standing at a window. Turns to camera, pauses dramatically, and in an astounding and unpredicted Scooby Doo twist, removes her mask, revealing none other than ALVAR HANSO.
"Alvar Hanso is real and I am living proof"
We will then find out that DJ Dan is Dame Edna and Thomas Mittlewerk is Rupaul.

FYSB - I like the way you think.
thrasher: i bet once all glyphs are released, rachel will hold a contest in which everyone is to take sound bites and mix em up at beatboxmixer (tip o the cap to verizon). whomever mixes the phattest beat will get to see the video. that way she can further delay us from stopping twm killing off innocent people. oh, and a special prize if you can make a rap video featuring your apollo bar!
Good afternoon all,
Looks like some people had fun in Dallas!! Gonna catchup on this mornings comments. BBL
Dazzleself, Othergirl only wrote of the last UK glyphs, not the last 2 glyphs per se.
Which also means, if she is to be believed, that #70 will be in AUS or USA or Asia, real world or web.
Looking foward to meeting TLEers in DC this evening. You'll be missed, nitesea. My daughter, Becky, and I will be there early, wearing LOST shirts.
By the way, my occupations are school psychologist, private practice counselor, and writer. My life is a multi-task.
Inengland; (delayed post) I don't care if a hospital worker woke up on the wrongest side of the bed in their entire life, if they are nice to the patients and make them comfy and secure at the scariest moment in their existence, then they are angels in my book! :-)
Gavin: OMG, the Milgram Experiment! What a cool idea. I agree that that's probably not the case, but a cool idea to play around with!

Belly et all...this is our last chance to get on the leader board!!! Let's go get #70...oh wait it is not in the wild yet...
Hurry up and wait!!!
You're right, Belly. Speaker's latest post today has nothing about Kimmel again.
Miniver - Yes use this Glypho-matic instead of HE...it works way better!
Looks like it is career day on TLEC. I will join the geeks. EDM/ECM Project Manager & Analyst. EDM & ECM is the short way to say Enterprise Document Management and Content Management.
I also like the whole Milram theory. It goes right along with the Skinner box theory for the hatches.
Question: If the hatches on the island were actually meant to change the numbers of the Valenzetti Equation, then what is the point of The Pearl station?
I dont know if anyone else brought this up before or not. Why would they have someone documenting the hatches? Did they once need those manuals, and now dont since the funding has been pulled. Did Alvar himself stand there and get the reports when they were sent? could Alvar potentially be on the island then?

welcome to the world of posters omgfloofy!!! Good to have you on board!
on the subject of WIA.com, I noticed someone from California had one. I hung around that giveaway for HOURS and nobody got an oracle, so what gives?
Okay, since we're sharing careers... I do marketing/outreach/membership at a PBS affiliate. Good times!
I think it's interesting how many people here work either in TV or computer fields in one way or another. Although, like Thrasher, I also had my start in retail. Six years at American Eagle!
Twinkle, I think the other 8th grader you're thinking of is Lost in Frogurt. I miss that kid and his dancing panda avatar!
the floof - didn't anyone ever teach you - don't insult your mother. :)
I hope they don't wait too long to release this last one, we've been through enough already with this phase. Just end it. That'd be like Sawyer shooting but not killing ALL of us.
Hey Floofy! It was great meeting you last night. Delurk whenever you like.

Okay, I've been lurking all day and I have to add my geekdom to the mix
I'm a LAN/Systems Manager at IU
I'm such a major geek I dream about my job!
I'm so jealous of those of you who got to get together and meet each other. How fun! I'm bummed that there was no giveaways in my next of the midwest.
Although, I'm not sure how many people are in my general vicinity anyway - I might have been left holding the Apollo bars all alone!
locked on lost - what station are you at? I'm at the NPR/PBS station in West Michigan.
I'm heading to Lexington, KY for tomorrow's give away even though I was at the Indy event. I want a golden oracle!!!!!!
It's about the same drive for both event for me. that's the advantage of living in the crossroads of america.
I actually enjoy retail, maybe a little crazy, but I do. I am trying to get back in because, I am good at and it pays better than travel....
locked - don't worry, I'm at work, too. :) I won't tell, if you won't! I'm WGVU/WGVS.
I do computer programming. And some mail modeling on the side (ya know, like making UPS parcels out of clay while drinking orange mocha frappacinos).
Zoolander? play on words? anyone?
[crickets]
wv: aimjitu.
or should i msnjitu?
TLCM.. maybe I will see you there... I will have my whole family in tow.....hopefully arriving by 7pm... look for me!
Thrasher - I actually liked retail quite a bit, too. I did everything from stock to management in my time there, and I worked at four different stores. Sometimes, I wish I still did!
young wallace, lol. Look out for those Hanso chocolates or someone's gonna have to write your you-google-ie. I heart that movie.
Welcome, floof! Once you get started posting, you can't stop!
One more glyph to go! Yea! Could it be the last one which could show Alvar rescuing Rachel? However, there's quite a few holes still in the video -- maybe #70 will fill them all in!
dixxee
I'll be wearing a green t-shirt with "whereisalvar.com" ironed on it. I made it myself. I'll have my son in tow.
I'm not sure what time we'll arrive but I'm hoping to be there no later than 7:30p
Woohoo, NPR, I'm a HUGE fan. Wait wait don't tell me...good stuff. Do you know the Car Guys?
I'm a little concerned that we might be moving into ARG sweeps, and ABC will have some big stunt for the the reveal of #70...maybe Rachel Blake Fear Factor and we'll have to do something gross like eat Mittlewerks ponytail dipped in melted apollo chocolate or paw through Joop's litterbox to spell Hanso with droppings before we get the next clue.
Ok, so my job allows me to sit on a 3 hour conference call and type random ridiculous posts on TLEC.
Hi Guys
I'm back, dog walked, kids bathed and in bed and my wife is out tonight....
I really like the Milgram idea with the Pearl station. It certainly makes sent if you want to manipulate the world you need to learn how. The Island would be a good test bed. Mmmn It's the middle of the cold war and DHARMA are looking at the psychology of people living trapped in bunkers. How can they manipulate them, push the button, don't push the button. Somehow I don't think they were working on the prototype for Big Brother.
Think of all those Nuclear Subs and Nuclear Bunkers - get the message and press the button - did DHARMA want to find a way to stop a Nuclear War (or start one?)
fasten, you just made me laugh so hard my boss almost caught me on the internet. Truly ridiculous.
TLCM - I will be looking for that shirt! My daughter will probably see it first.. green is her favorite color....! My blog shows pics of the family so maybe you can recognize me there.
SeatBelts: I Click and Clack, the Tappet brothers. Well played. You must listen to 90.1 on Saturdays.
missmegs, it's only funny until it comes true. ;>)
Cyberyang Said:
We definitely need an official LOST convention.
Back in the '70s Dallas was the king-o-convetions. Does anyone here know the people that run the Dallas Comic-Con? They could add Lost to thier convention.
I don't know, fasten, but I'll tell you this; I'm not organizing any "help, I dont live near the mittlewerk ponytail tastings!". They're on their own for that phase.
I'll watch for you dixxee
I think a LOST convention is a great idea but we'll just have to settle for comic con 2007.
dark angel
love your idea! I mean even in the early 70's people were still building bomb shelters and the cold war was on everyone's mind. if you mix that wil the love generation of the late 70's you get the DeGroots, right?
Fasten: Yuck! Though we will stoop to anything, right? LOL
yes, young wallace, my weekends are narrated by 90.1.
My random prediction:
The final glyph will be found on rachel's stop hanso page. I think there's a certain symetry to that, plus it will bring her back into communication with us. How that works with WIA, I have no clue, but If had to geuss one place the glyph would end up, it's on rachel's blog. I'm probably wrong, but if I'm right I'll look like a genius.
my $0.02
It's true Maven.
uh oh, if TPTB are lurking, i may have given them ideas. hmmmm....what would rachel do? oh yeah, a feeble misdirection.
"excuse me, TPTB? ignore that fasten. she has no idea what she's talking about. she got hit on the head with an iron."
I'm in Dallas, locked on lost.
I must be honest I didn't think about until someone mentioned milgrim but the whole unquestioning pressing of a button reminded me of the nuclear sub/bunker scenario
TLCM - I just threw some updated photo's on my blog.. these should help :)
mjm3
I think you're right. I expect to find the final glyph on one or the other of rachel's blogs.
add $0.02 more
dark angel: like a failsafe scenario?
I have no idea what they are going to do for the release of #70- but it's going to be pandemonium because...we're all here... just...waiting...for it to be released! A free for all!
locked on lost - yeah, we're in TV pledge right now, and radio starts in October. It's never ending!
I love This American Life on NPR - but we do air Car Talk, and Wait Wait as well :)
Fasten- I draw the line at tasting TWM's ponytail! And I read that while I was eating lunch. blech!
Twinkle, I think the other 8th grader you're thinking of is Lost in Frogurt. I miss that kid and his dancing panda avatar!
Me too! My son always wants to see it and he's not on anymore!
As for past jobs, I taught middle school for one year, one very *long* year. Then I eventually switched to teaching computers to adults. "Click this button to create a new page. Now type your name. Press "enter," the key on the right with an arrow. Yes, it did give you a new line! Good job!"
Actually I loved it and it got me started programming a little. The best thing about that job was that I had a captive audience to tell stupid jokes to and they wouldn't throw stink bombs in my room!
Belly: me either! It makes sense though after whoever it was who tried to name the "Lost Ladies" got in trouble for missing like 8 of us, lol.

it's funny, before WiA, I didn't realize how large a percentage of our community was female...
Let's hear it for the girls!!
Hi MissMegs
Yeah possibly a fail safe - I know there was always theories that if the order to fire Nuclear weapons was gien half of the sub crews etc would refuse to fire and this was as true for the US, The UK and The USSR. Maybe they thought that there was a way to influence all the crews/button pushers. They were looking at Para-Psychology and things like remote viewing too so this would tie in.
Oops, that first line above was a quote from Melissa. Sorry.
Go, Lostie Girls!
missmegs: That was me! How glad I am to have missed so many!
dixxee
Watch for me, I'll be with my son. He's much older than your boys, 30. I'll wear my pink, breast cancer kerchief; I'm a survivor... that should stand out.......
great pictures of your family. I just love kids, especially if they're someone else's..............
sorry I haven't done any pictures of myself since my diagnosis in '01.
dark angel: what's this about the nuclear sub/bunker thing and milgram? i don't get the connection.
TLCM - I can understand that completely.. My Mother is a survivor... I will wear that shirt also... that should help! My mother got EXTREMELY upset if anyone took a pic of her while she was in treatment.... she is doing great now. She was diagnosed in 2002.
I feel the same way about kids! Love the ones I can send home! Get plenty of that kind coming around all the time...LOL
dark angel
I saw a thing on A&E or the history channel about remote veiwing a few weeks ago. It was really weird; unsuccessful but weird.
