Clue #138 - HansoExposed.com Update

If you log in to hansoexposed.com, you'll see a blinking star next to the "Send Sequence" button. Press the "star button" to listen to 4 minutes, 13 seconds of Morse Code. According to PeaceandNamaste and mamomk in our comments, translating this gives us us "M--I wish it were that simple. Fact is, as much as I want to, I still can't trust you. I want to believe you are the man who helped me in Paris but "de Zylva's" name was not unknown. You could be Mittlewerk himself, springing a trap under my feet. I need confirmation it's you. I need you to tell me something only you could know."

Thanks to makomk, Maven, RyanDrumz, and PeaceandNamaste for emailing us about this clue.

this is from next week's tv guide (September 18th-24th):

Lost's Numbers Finally Add Up
ABC's online Lost supplement, the Lost Experience, delivered a major payoff on September 8th. An unlocked video detailed how a mathematician was commisionned by the United Nations in 1962 to calculate the timetable for humanity's extinction.
The resulting Valenzetti's Equation was based on factors represented by Egyptian Hieroglyphics, each of which was assigned a numerical value: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42, aka what would become Hurley's cursed digits. Though the Hanso Foundation created the Dharma Inititiave to stave off the forecast apocalypse, the foundation's impatient acting president Dr. Thomas Mittlewerk is itching to unleash a virus that will snub 30 percent of the world's population.
Fans who followed the Experience may someday experience deja vu when watching LOST on TV. Says Michael Benson, senior vice president of marketing for ABC: "There's no reason [the Experience's events] can't be integrated into the program." - Reported by Matt Webb Mitovich

Thanks for that comparison, peaceandnamaste. There's definitely been alot of speculation about the actual glyphs...even what the borders mean! And what about those word clues? "Narvik" seems to be panning out to something.

goingdark: I think the producers stated that those glyphs meant "underworld" instead of what we translated it as (cause to die). vitruvian man: Thanks for those links.

Sometimes we do tend to overanalyze, don't we? You're mostly likely correct that TPTB just needed some glyph-like stuff for 70 codes. And they grabbed whatever they could find. LOL.

9/13/2006 01:26:00 PM
Blogger The Penuels said...

My take on the glyphs.

1. Why wouldn't they actually mean something? Sure, Rachel may have simply needed a way to package her codes in a way that would be recognizable, but why would she choose to attach "language" to the codes unless she was trying to communicate something extra. I have had a sneaking suspicion that there is something more to the glyphs.

2. I have been thinking that seeking a message in the glyphs was "someone else's" job and have been too lazy to do any actual research regarding the meanings of individual characters. Sounds like Vitruvian Man has gotten us off to a good start...has anybody REALLY looked into each individual character and tried to piece anything together? Sounds like a job for the Research Bloggers :)

Well, hopefully we won't have like 8 yy old kids calling in to DJ Dan like last time asking stupid questions.
But, even when a good question was asked, all he did was turn the question around on you saying "Well, what do you think...blah,blah,blah" and then he would make fun of you and SHUTDOWN!!!
It will be hard, but the questions need to be real good. And if anybody call and tries that on you...Say "DJ Dan, I asked YOU the question and I want YOUR opinion"
Just my $0.02

Meni has, in this case, also been translated as: 'God of Destiny' and 'God of Fate' or simply 'Destiny' or 'Fate'.

follow the Min link above to this one at Min bottom to read
"12. number--"doom" you. Alluding to the "number," as Meni (Isaiah 65:11) means. Retribution in kind, the punishment answering to the sin (compare 2 Chronicles 36:14-17).

Inspiration:

"These hieroglyphics have evidently a meaning. If it is a purely arbitrary one, it may be impossible for us to solve it. If, on the other hand, it is systematic, I have no doubt that we shall get to the bottom of it."

PeaceAndNamaste: Thanks!

Ryan: I hear you! He totally turned everything around. Do you figure it will be more of the same or will he actually *say* something?

I haven't caught up on the comments on the top but from what you all have been saying about how funny it was, I can't wait!

Hey, I don't know if anyone's here, or if this has been mentioned - no time to catch up - but ABC showed a preview of the new season tonight. I just watched the drama preview at 9:30 Eastern time. At the end, just before 10, there was a segment on Lost.

***spoiler***

They showed a clip from season 3 with Sawyer in a cage. He pushes a button marked with a knife and fork and gets a warning message. A kid in a different cage (sounded like Sawyer called him Kyle) warns him not to do that, but he pushes it again and is blasted back.

They also played the same spot that I've seen on Youtube, although the earlier spots say "65 days ago. they fell from the sky" and the one tonight said "67 days ago."

Again, sorry if someone already mentioned this. I don't have time to check through the comments, but I wanted the folks on the west coast to catch it if they could.

Good night, everyone!

Twinkle-I just hope DJDan answers our questions a little better, but I have a feeling it might be the same. It seems like TPTB use these call-ins to get an understandig of how the game is going from real people, which is cool. It would be nice for him to get into our questions a little more. We'll just have to see.

RE: This Phase
I think this phase isn't that bad. It sure is cool when we are all trying to decode these messages and I think this will be over by Friday anyways ...We are all just so glyphed out, we need to step back and realize that the game will only get better.

Melissa-That's cool. I saw the promo vids that Ocki and Dixxee posted earlier, but I don't remember any of that. Only the cage part. The kid kyle and the buttton is new I think. Now I need to rewatch them...

Sorry for the long post, and see ya in the morning

Hi Guys

Not sure if anyone is awake / online but hey ho.

I had a look at the Glyphs - Nothing obvious lept out at me, they are certainly not in norse runes, Ogham Script or any of the medival 'magical alphabets' like Malachim. I used to have some books on ancient alphabets but I'm pretty sure I sold them all on eBay. Some of then remind me of (native american) indian pictograms but I'm no expert, one in particular reminded me of the figure of Kokopelli.

With regards the podcast somone a while back suggested we all contributed some audio and did a group TLEC podcast - sounds a good idea to me. I'm happy to have a go at doing a segment - not sure what on but it's worth a shot.
