Everyone that registered on WhereisAlvar.com received the following email today from Rachel: "OKAY, EVERYBODY. THIS IS IT. YOU'VE FOUND OVER 1000 APOLLO BARS. I KNOW NOW THAT THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING...GO TO WWW.WHEREISALVAR.COM." When you visit whereisalvar.com, you see a message from Rachel telling us to make sure we are part of DJ Dan's podcast on September 24th at 8 PM PST. DJ Dan has also updated his podcast page, hinting that Rachel Blake will be a special guest.Thanks to Allyson, Donn, Twinkle, Howard, Jetamo, makomk, Chelsea, Joanne, and AmbientBlu for emailing us about this update!

Hey, I got an email from Rachel. Something about Ovaltine.
well that was an unexpected jump... if the target wass 1000 bars, why didn't they just make it 1% = 10 bars, instead of making it go up 1% every 6.5 hours, then jump 6% at the end.
I got my e-mail from Rachel. It looks like everyone was busy posting pics to WIA over the weekend, although they did not get posted until this morning. I am glad I got my pic in. (the real pic with me actually in it.)

Well some movement at last even if it is another anti-climax - all that chocolate just to tell us something we didn't know (or just to infect all of you that have eaten yours - ha ha ha)
It seems like the 7am /8 am thing was a typo but saying that 8pm isn't too great for us Brits. I'm certainly not going to be up in the early hours of the morning to listen to Rachel/Alvar on DJ Dan.
This is INSANE! We spend weeks and weeks getting the dang candy bars, because we were promised something BIG when we had enough and all we get is "Listen to DJ Dan"? We were all going to do that anyway!!!!

DJ dan should not have posted his podcast time before RB announced it. Then RB's message might have caused some excitement, but this just tells us what we already knew and were planning on doing anyway. I thought there would be another video or some news of her meeting with Malik.

This has probably been mentioned, but the time should be 8PM, the time on DJ Dan's site. Originally this morning WIA.com said 8AM by accident, but they changed it to match DJ Dan's site now.

I'm with you Anne. It's too much to believe. Having everyone go to events around the world just to find out something that had already been posted on another site? The game has been boring and tedious at times, but so far this has been completely pointless (though, I did really enjoy meeting fellow Dallas lost fans). I just can't believe this is all WIA has in store for us.

Or perhaps it's similar to the situation where the UK gamers told the UK TPTB at the real life clue-hunt that we were finding the clues LONG before they were released on the HE site....and they were surprised! Could TPTB still "misunderestimate" us so much that they think we didn't know about the DJ Dan date before RB told us on the WIA today? Or did they really just throw us a partially eaten rotten old bone and expect us to eat it with our tails a-wagging?!
And while we are ever-so-patiently waiting for RB's big reveal on WIA, couldn't TPTB tell us what is in the Apollo bars (virus, cure, nanobots, or what?!) why HF, TWM, or whomever wanted them distributed, who is this Benson guy, why he broke off with TWM exactly, blah, blah, blah.

I love the fact that this game has turned into a great big brainwashing where our whole community just does what their told. Much like Lost itself, it has gone around in circles and still has answered nothing. I sure do hope that something gets resolved here on the Podcast, and that there is a nice little tie in to the show for all of us that have played this all summer. If not, this will just be one big commercial venture where sponsors now have, well at least something like 40,000 emails from Hansoexposed, and god knows how much more information to continue their corporate shilling. I say good on them.

Fasten, you made me think of a time-line issue. When RB said "you won't want to miss what I've got to show you", and if it turns out to be that she found out where Hanso is, how did she know that she would know where Hanso is, before Malik got in touch with her and set up the meeting last week? (assuming that's what is about to happen) That's why I thought that there would be more to reveal about other topics (candy, nanites, etc.) at the completion of WIA, because how did she know where he was before she knew where he was?

I'd love to listen to DJ Dan, but as I have 2 small kids I am not getting up at 4am to listen to him! I realise why they have done the times as they have, but it does exclude all the Europeans, and has really irritated me. Great - so if there is a big reveal, I will miss it.

I still haven't received an Apollo bar, and I was designated one about 3 weeks ago...so while it may not seem to be a big deal to have your pic on WIA- at least it's more than some of us have got. PLEASE TPTB put us out of our misery and just start Season 3 already.

It seems a important thread of this story has been cut off. It's been dropped like a hot potato! All the focus right now is on WIA, Rachel and Malik setting up a meet with a HIM (whoever could THAT be? hahahaha) and the DJ Dan podcast....whatever happened to what we supposedly learned from the video? We learned what Mittelwerk and his gang are up to, yet nothing is being done about it! One of Rachel's original goals was to expose THF! Great, now what? Rachel certainly isn't continuing that part of her agenda!
Picsel- that would be ok- then you could just inform us of what you learned and we could enjoy our Sunday evening. LOL (Afterall- the Amazing Race has started up again)

After all our efforts these past few months in helping you, our question is this: if as every hour goes by, Mittlewerk is carrying out his horrific medical plans and experimentation, why are you taking so long to give us the information that we need to stop him? If he is right now experimenting on "innocent human beings", as stated in the Sri Lanka video, why have we not been told where he is after the Sri Lanka meeting and what we can do to stop him from doing these experiments on the unsuspecting islanders?
We feel very helpless just sitting here, thinking about how Mittlewerk is killing people as we wait for your podcast with DJ Dan A WEEK FROM NOW. Somehow it doesn't seem that your initial sense of urgency is as truthful as we were led to believe.
You have said that you can't pull this off without us. Let us know what is going on NOW. You can trust us, we've proven that....don't lose our trust and faith in you now at this point of your mission.

It seems weird to me if THF have now been exposed that authorities have not got involved in the planned global massacre, im sure one person in the authorities would have followed it trying to make sure even if it was a legal team following from the whole hyperion book thing from Act1, i know you could just say island way well its for a TV show with a black smoke monster running round an unfindable island but ARG's are meant to be realistic so surely somehting should be happening now, this could be a huge climactic tense time in the game but no.

Sure, it SEEMS like she is sitting around letting people die at the hands of Mittlewerk's evil scheme, but that is only appearances. The reason Rachel can't talk to us now is that she and Ironman, backed up by a group composed of Apollo Bar workers, Alvar Hanso clones and eldery orangutans (led by Joop) have invaded those town, machine guns blazing, and taken out the evil Hanso forces, they then hijacked the ship, came back to the US and are in the process of deposing Mittlewerk and putting Alvar Hanso clone #1 at the head of THF. What is REALLY keeping her from up-dating us, however, are all the Securities and Exchange Commission filings that she is filling out (all this while also marrying Ironman and having a brief but enjoyable honeymoon).
Not to worry, however, on the 24th shewill tell us about this and lead un into Act 5 where we search for 1,200 postcards scattered in the real world and on the internet which, when put in the right order and run together like frames, show she and Ironman feeding each other cake.
I don't know about you, but i am psyched and ready.

Hmmm....spent an hour on the phone, did some dishes, took the dogs out, did some more chores...got back on the computer and the story line/plot is still sitting in the same spot, as well as the conversation for the most part. Ratman.. did you think I was backing TPTB on this fiasco? If so you didn't read it like I intended. I was saying they got us all to put all our brain power together for something that is turning into a big joke. I was not complimenting them, I was putting my two cents in as well. I am mad that they got us to scour those stupid ads etc. for little tidbits of information and then dropped us flat on our faces. Will I buy the products that were forced on us? Not until I get over this Mad, Bad, attitude they caused me to develope towards them. Verizon? Sprite? No Way!!!!

Even I have to admit, as someone who wasn't even an active TLE participant during Acts 1 & 2, this game has really seemed to lose a lot of momentum since Act 3 ended. I was really into the glyph hunt and putting the pieces of the video together, slow-going as it was; and I enjoyed going to the New York events and meeting fellow TLE-ers while receiving my Apollo bars; but I, too, was expecting a little something...more from this particular phase of the game. Like someone pointed out, Rachel's message specifically said that once enough bars were found (which we now know to be approximately 1,000 of them), she would have more to "show" us, not "tell" us. Capcom, I like the post you made on Rachel's blog; it's eloquent without being "nasty" and respectfully expresses our concerns. Flying off the handle hardly ever lets our voice get heard.
As disappointing as this phase of the game is right now, though, I honestly don't believe that the UNITE collage on WIA.com is meant to be our "reward," so to speak. I don't like the notion of being "Ralphied" either, and I seriously don't think that TPTB would be THAT clueless; because if they were, that would kind of suck! As with most things in life, I think we should all just try to be patient and wait for this game to end before we pass final judgment on how much better or worse it could have been. We still have one more Act to go which I feel confident is going to be "kicked off" on Sunday night on the DJ Dan podcast. I think that the Apollo giveaways, WIA and the recent coded messages between Rachel and Malik have all been part of Act 4.
One other thing I'll mention: I have 2 accounts for HE/WIA and so far, I haven't received the most recent e-mail from Rachel for either one of them. Odd...
OK, get ready for a rant of screaming toddler proportions.
THis whereisalvar.com thing has really annoyed me, as it just doesn't have any point. if you actually did have an important message you had to get to a worldwide audience, why would you think "I know, some sort of chocolate based message would obviously be the most direct and effective way of sending out the message". It's stupid. And now that the 'BIG REVEAL' is... what we kne already, I just feel like the writers have just run out of ideas. The great thing about lost is that it is so unrealistic, yet somehow it is made believable. The ARG (from now on known as ARGH!) is both unbelievable and now rubbish.
To be honest, although I was really annoyed to see that yet again we have been given diddly SQUAT for our continued participation in this 'game', I don't really know what I expected. If there had been a big 'reveal' it would have spoiled season 3 and as is the norm with lost anyway, it would only have led to other questions. I think what annoys me the most is that it was so good originally, and made me feel lie there was all this depth and mystery to the show, yet all this game has done is very effectively remind me that lost is just a tv show, and totally destroyed that feeling of mystery. I'm actually pretty annoyed about it, because they didn't NEED to do it, they could have just carried on in the same way as Act 1, and revealed very little, and we all would have loved it, because at the end of the day, it seems to be the discussion and research that we all actually enjoy, not some idiot actress pretending she is all over the world, when the budget clearly only allows her to go as far as the LA city border. Rant over. For now...

This is getting ridiculous. I only hope the TV show doesn't end like TLE. I really hope this isn't the end. I guess no matter what RB says, this game will never be as fun as it was before.
I know it's tiring to hear our moans, but what else can we do now? We've given our time, our money, our beauty sleep and our brain...for a stupid compliment? Come on! What are those PM's thinking? It's like they don't care, or maybe they underestimate us. Are we THAT dumb?

What a let down this game has become. No regrets for starting this game cause I know so much more info from the LOST world, but it's info that the general public will eventually find out anyways...Whatever... We got to know it first. Maybe they'll have some of our names come up on the show or something like that, as conspirispies that are helping stop the THF when they do reveal this ARG in the show...That would be awesome. Who knows.
I was talking to Maven at the Apollo give-away and I was telling her how TPTB will tie this ARG to the show. I think they're going to use the Gary Troup angle on this. Remember Cindy, she's still on the island and also the manuscript Sawyer was reading. Those are the ties that will bring this whole game in the LOST TV show. Sorry if this has already been discussed, but It sounds solid to me.

Guys, we've been Ralphied all along. It's time to just get over that. I mean, hi, how many Jeep and Sprite and Monster and whatever the heck else ads have we had to see to get the clues?
The first 2 acts of the game were great. THe last ones have been one big snore fest. Nothing new, or certainly nothing that hadn't already been guessed at. Oh well.
I've done far more lurking than posting on here, but I must say this is the most unified rant I've seen. I think it's safe to say that TLEC is the most dedicated fan group to this game. So to see this much dischord is impressive, and rightly so. Remember when this game started? The TV commercial, Persephone? It was edgy, unpredictable...and now...I wonder if DJ Dan will be able to hear the sound of crickets chirping when he hollars SHUTDOWN!!!
You know, I've invested four months of my time into this game. I bought the Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs. (I do have to admit, I got The Bad Twin from the library.) I listened to DJ Dan at 2 am. I sat by my computer during ComicCon and the Times Square glyph hunt. I did everything Rachel said. I collected the glyphs and fragments. I went into the city to get Apollo bars. I uploaded my pic. I stayed in-game.
What are TPTB thinking? Did they only want to sell DVDs and books and promote their sponsors? I wouldn't have guessed that from the beginning of the game. Maybe I'm naive. What a joke on me.

I know, I am addicted, but who the heck here isn't a lostaholic??? As for the TLE, it was an extremely slow day. I was hoping to get my Lost fix today, but oh well guess I will pop in a dvd from season two. Have a good one twinkle.
