In addition to saving these memorable moments, you'll want to click HERE for Part 3 of our Podcast Finale (Timmy's mirror HERE) to hear Twinkle, Maven, FastenYourSeatbelts, and RyanDrumz talk to David & William about 8 Random Memories from each month of the Experience.

howienight,
Something like thisPODCASTING TUTORIAL might help. I had someone walk me through it step by step. Record, upload to a server (I use archive.org & ourmedia.org - both free), post to a blog (or anything with an RSS feed), subscribe to a feed publishing service (I use feedburner.com), register with itunes and tell them where your feed is coming from. Good luck!

Hey everybody!
First- Admin VERY nice job on the video. So, Maven and I teared up- anyone else- come on you know you're out there- admit it! Will listen to the podcast (sorry Apple) later.

Thrasher- exactly how many different avatars DID you have this summer? LOL And BTW, thanks for the shout out in the DJLena parody.

Dennis- that is so funny about the "creepy kids" pics on the WIA site! You have to admit, they were a little creepy.

Can't believe I was #27 on the comments. Wow- don't tell my hubby. It does however explain our family's frequent lack of clean clothes lately. hmmm

FYSB and everybody- Wow!! I saw the promo commercial last night, but didn't even recognize the voice - holy cow! Wonder how that will play out?

I am so pumped for season 3, I can't wait!

I think the more you comment, the more difficult your word verifications become....I used to get easy 5 letter ones, now I only get 9 letter ones with lots of q's , x's, and z's.

I think I changed 10 to 12 times, I never really counted, but I did do it a lot, my very first one was the man standing with his arms outstretched, which I kept for a long time then it just seemed to spiral out of control until I settled on the one I use now. Although I have changed it time to time when the conversation merited it, like Pirate day.

I wanted to use as many names as I could with out it seeming over stupid. And like I said in the podcast I am sure I left some names out.

Oh and I am in the top 20!!! YAY me!

hello everyone, I've been lurking through these last few updates but it's time for me to say a goodbye but it's not goodbye really, I'll be at TLC. I want to thank everyone for being a part of this community. I had never participated in a blog before TLE and I have to say the experience has be GREAT (rachel font intended).

I'm still upset that I missed "talk like a pirate" day because of a stupid biospy. I don't know why they make me do that it's been established for 5 years that I have cancer. That's the day I found out that I have to go back on chemo, why I haven't posted much lately, and that's why I'll be at TLC. It's not basketball season yet and usually B-ball is what gets me through chemo well now it will be TLC.

Thanks for all your well wishes and all the fun.

I'm REALLY (rachel font intended again) excited for S3 to start!!!!!

oh, the recap epi last night was great especially with fenry narrating

About the memories compilation, Admin did the awesome pdf format. I only got him the raw material. Capcom got her name on the doc because even though she didn't have her stuff ready in time, she was working. Maybe we can post later some of the stuff she found.

Sean: You'd think so, but things were crazy back then with people switching back and forth between threads posting. Tapdawg's comment is actually the earliest comment by date. But you're right, Lostaway Bonnie is the first comment on Post #1.

Also officially - THANK YOU!!! to everyone who helped compile the memories doc, FYSB, Maven, Ryandrumz, and Scoutpost. It was a monumental idea to skim through all the old posts and comments to capture the essence of why we loved this community. The material for the document was compiled from Saturday night through Wednesday night. That's an amazing amount of data to surf in just 4 days! We had to leave sooo much out! You all ROCK for doing this with me!

Secondly, thanks for giving us so much material TLEC-ers! There's a wide variety of names quoted from in the document. If we missed your favorite moment or comment, know that we still appreciated it. And I can't wait to see what memories we'll form from TLC and SotL!

Dennis - I think Belly had made one once before. Since I am not very busy I can put one together for you guys. But you have to get me a shrubery!! And for your amusement!

King Arthur: Old woman.
Dennis: Man.
King Arthur: Man, sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?
Dennis: I'm 37.
King Arthur: What?
Dennis: I'm 37. I'm not old.
King Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man".
Dennis: Well you could say "Dennis".
King Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis.
Dennis: Well you didn't bother to find out did you?
King Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...
Dennis: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior.
King Arthur: Well I am king.
Dennis: Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

There lies in the Ocean an island which is called The Lost. In Charm and all kinds of fertility it far surpasses every other land, but it is unknown to men. Now and again it may be found by chance; but if one seeks it, it cannot be found, and therefore it is called The Lost.

Hi again all! Trying to listen to the podcast now...can't wait judging on what you all have said about it!
I didn't get to send in a recording due to technical difficulties- SO I would just like to say: despite a few complaints with the ARG itself, this summer was great fun- and like everyone has already said it is because of this community that the summer will be so memorable. Thanks to all the Admins, and to David for starting this whole baby up in the first place! I've learned how to do a lot of cool things on the computer this summer- thanks to everyone for helping me to embrace my inner geek! Looking forward to TLC- see you all there!
Hope that was 60 sec. or less- if not, then just go back and read it faster. hehe

That memories podcast made looking through 16,400 comments well worthwhile! Everyone did a great job in finding the moments that really defined this community.

It is so cool to hear everyone's voices...makes this seem more real!

Big thank you to Twinkle for thinking of doing this and formatting all of our notes.

DarkAngel - thanks! There are a few of us Brits around TLEC, although some are only occasional posters (like Willow) and some just live in the chat room (Pzy and Diss come to mind). But anyway, good to see the UK represented well in the podcast.

Ryan - Thanks :)

I'm not really clever. I just think too much.

So I'm just now listening to Part 3. Didn't realize I took so long. Sorry! Maven, you are correct. The large post in July with 932 or so comments is the largest in the whole TLEC history. The smallest post was one in May near the beginning that ended up with 1.

Hey, everyone! Capcom was working on a selection of people saying goodbye that she wasn't able to get to me before I needed to send it to Admin. I have it now and since it's short I'm going to post it in the comments here. I really appreciate her searching through the last few weeks worth of comments, paying attention to all our sappy stuff. Thanks, Capcom!

Capcom's Goodbye List

Boyo81: Because at the end of the day, it seems to be the discussion and research that we all actually enjoy, not some idiot actress pretending she is all over the world, when the budget clearly only allows her to go as far as the LA city border.

Shakey: I'm just popping in to say goodbye. It's been a pleasure contributing to this community and storming our brains on what all this means, but I'm afraid, as with many of us, WIA.com was the last straw and I officially no longer care.

Jess4ua: Despite the ending of the ARG, I'm glad we had the game. I haven't done anything like this in a long time, and it was a lot of fun. And most important, I have sooo many new friends.

Peaceandnamaste: And thanks to EVERYONE that's been a part of TLEC's community, i've had such an awesome time chatting with you guys, it's been so much fun.. *sniff*.. I think I might be getting sen-tee-men-tal.. ;)

Aui: Hello people! I guess you don't remember me. I've been lurking the experience since sometime in the summer. I just want you all to know that this experience has become something i will never forget.

Maven: Wow...I think I'm shedding a tear or two watching that video! Those memories are great!

Dedjezter: You all did a great job with this blog and it without a doubt the best one out there for this game, it was always easy to follow and the people here have been simply amazing.

Ular: Big Thanx to those who worked so hard to make our summer special with the game, our great meeting place, and your many talents. I am only one among many who appreciates you and your endeavors. To the others who have been faithful players here, I have enjoyed the conversations without the spam and ego's, or arguing so many other sites have. You are a special group that I hope to remain in contact with when everyone switches over.

Cyberyang: Admin-Thanks for all your hard work with this site.(and everyone else who contributes) I can honestly say that TLEC has greatly enhanced the whole experience.

----

So nice to not say good-bye. See you later at TLC and SotL!

Twinkle: Lucky me to get the longest post in TLEC history in the month I went through!

Admins: Now that the last Podcast is up and the Memory List...I do hate to ask this, but....when do we all "officially" move over to TLC? (I'm finding that me and some others are starting to post the same things in both places.) Are you going to put up a Post that says: One, two, three...go to The Lost Community! lol I'm assuming that TLEC will stay up forever, right?

I have one more thing to say tonight before I head off.

I have a lot of great memories from the experience and really I have gotten so much more out of it then I ever thought imaginable. I don't think I could even possibly explain it. Aside from anything else it's been a bit of an internal journey for me too. Perhaps one day I'll even look back and say it was life changing. Who knows.

Seem excessive? Maybe, but it's true. So despite whatever negativity I have expressed about things and the frustrations I have vented, this has been really special.

Okay that's it. Night all. If this is the final thread then this will probably be my final post here so just wanted to leave that thought. :)

Belly, et.al., My favorite things in The Holy grail are:

"How do you know she's a witch?"
"Wot, she turned me into a newt!"

And the killer bunny!!!!!!! :-)

Now I'll go to bed singing, "We're knights of the round table..."!

P.S. I found lots more warm and fuzzy posts from our blogs that I sent later to Twinkle, in case she can use them. Not even close to a complete representation of everyone who expressed their fond feelings towards the TLEC Admins and blog colleges, (blogeges?), but a fair share. There were tons more in the archives that I didn't get too. Bottom line, everyone here (regulars, lurkers, and visitors alike) appreciates the civilized atmosphere of communication and the lengths that the Admins went to, to keep everything that happened in TLE on the front page ASAP so that no one missed anything that happened in the game. A veritable mutual admiration society. :-) Very much unlike many other TLE blogs, as was also expressed. General consensus......TLEC gets the ARG Oscar! :-)

Capcom: Thanks! I just checked my mail. I'm adding them here, even though it's long. Thanks for all that work! And again this isn't an exhaustive list, just a sampling.

Goodbye List Continued

Oxillini: there are other forums, but this is the only community.

Maven: Great work everyone! Just proves how TLEC community all works together.
Maven: Can't wait to meet some TLECrs!

Peaceandnamaste: I've been reading the comments on 'other' blogs about TLE, and I was shocked at the amount of arguing, abuse, and just general spam.... People seem intent on just posting gibberish and stuff... I love you TLEC lol … But we're still learning alot about the LOST mythology, and having a good time in the process.

Thinbluemime: Belly, David, and Administrators, THANK YOU for you contribution, long suffering, and endless hours...you know we love you guys!!

Fenris: TLECs great. I posted the same thing in ITE and the only reply I got was the Wolfe.

Fenris: Given this was the first site I found I don't even know if I'd have really been part of the experience at all without this site, so thank you!

Ryandrumz: I hate when they take this game to myspace. Can't get it from work...But I always have you guys..

Dixxee: Glad to have had the opportunity to meet TLCM and Dennis at the event, nice to meet others who's family looked at them as nutty too!!!

Dark Angel: See you guys - great working out the truth with such an intelligent bunch of guys and girls.

Fastenyourseatbelts: i love this dialog by the way. you guys are freakin' smart.

Thrasher76: Had a great time at the Philly event!!! Met up with Adelphiadella and Cattygirl, both were super awesome!!!

Joann: Admin (David) thanks for staying up late and working on posting the podcast!

Lockebox: Thanks to all the Losties out there that made this summer pass so quickly! Thanks, TLEC. You rocked it like none other.

Dedjezter: I did however like the connections made and friends aquired, while playing and haveing a great time on-line and at real world events. This has been an EXPERIENCE and a pleasure to do it all with all of us involved.

Pharmacopaeia: ... but from New Zealand, arohanui (big love) to this community.

Congested: I had a good time tonight guys, but you all are what made the night, not TLE. Looking forward to seeing this community grow on the new blog and stories of the lost.

Patchwork3930: David, thank you SO much for posting the podcast. I was so sad that I couldn't get it to work and missed the whole thing.

Thanks for everything over the last few months. You guys made it fun even in the boring bits, and it was so nice to meet so many good people too.

Lostgrrl: And of course, after we have made such great connections, we couldn't possibly just let them drop after Game was over....so, along with this blog's new LOST Community Blog, we will once again have a companion message board!

Love pirate 77: I just gotta say thanks to everyone who made this so enjoyable.

Ellador: Cheers to all of you. You've brought joy to my lurking self.

Shrodes: Anti-climactic indeed. …but this game's been great nonetheless. Thanks to all involved in the site, and working out the clues.

Raphael: I mostly lurked but was contantly amazed by the game and the people of TLEC.

Cattygirl: Admin - you have made this my one stop for all things TLE. Thanks.

Your Mother: Thanks to all of the admins that put this blog together. Thanks to the Dallas people who made the ABC event worth going …. and thanks to everyone on this blog.

Chelsea: This is my fare thee well. Thank you admin for bringing us all together.

Belly0fdesire: Good morning everyone... It's been a blast, really... a lot of fun playing this game with you all. Twinkle... always got a kick out of your jokes and enjoyed helping you come up with some.
Belly0desire: GROUP HUG!

Scoutpost: Despite all the frustrations with the ARG, I've decided to focus on the positive…… THIS COMMUNITY of people! It was such fun reading all the theories, joking around, competing in trivia, late nite chats.

Superdifey: I certainly didn't post as often as I liked, but this was a great community, and as I have said before, thanks to Admin, Belly & Thrasher for making this such a fab place to spend my summer!!

Twinkle: GO LOSTIE GIRLS!!!

Babarajay: You guys are great and I plan to hang around for TLC. I used to hang out on a couple of other LOST message boards before but never found the calm, welcoming, and smart atmosphere of TLEC.

I didn't realize how long I was a lurker here until I went back to find my first comment and it wasn't until July. It was when I got excited and thought I had actually found a clue watching Kyle XY.... here it is:

"Did anyone else see the commercial during Kyle XY? Toward the end of Kyle XY (ABC Family) that really looks like something for the game. It gave this link.... http://madacorp.com and the "tone" of the commercial had the same feel as the Hanso commercials. There is a "employee locator" which may lead to something. I haven't figured it out."

I even emailed it in but received a polite response to let me know that it was not "in game."

One thing I notice was as time went on, how the main page of the blog became more colorful with picture and such. And in the comments, people started using avatars... and many of them changed. I know it took me a while to figure out how to do one so others must have done the same.

The thing I like best about this blog over other TLE site is how easy it is to read the comments and how they are not full of nonsence like the others.

Oh my... didn't notice how late it was... way past bed time. Nite all.

Wow guys! It's fun to see all the "wrap up" convos going on lately...I agree that it's nice to see Megs & Sean flirting again! :) I think we'll leave this thread up UNTIL WEDNESDAY and then we'll do one more post directing people to THELOSTCOMMUNITY.COM and STORIESOFTHELOST.COM. I am so grateful and touched by all the support that has been poured out towards myself and the other administrators of this blog over the last few days. The community that has developed here has literally been a dream come true. You guys have thanked me a lot lately but truly, all of the credit goes to you...it is easy to do the facilitating when there is such a brilliant, diverse, and beautiful group of people doing all the participating. It was a blessing to participate with you all this summer.

I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be around off and on today and then tomorrow I am leaving to go out of town on a short vacation to celebrate my ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY (Ryan, thank you very much for sharing that video with everyone). Immediately after that, I will be traveling to a work-related conference in Atlanta (Much like the one Jim, Michael, and Dwight attended on last night's episode of the Office). I will not have access to a computer until Tuesday evening and then will have limited access until next Friday. Don't worry, I'll be sure to get a post up next Wednesday on TLC. Don't worry, I'm not disappearing...I very much look forward to engaging with this community on a regular basis as Season 3 develops.

joann: Wow! Someone really cares!

I'm an elcetrical engineer, and I do integrated circuit design for a living. The basic electronic device I design with is a diode, which is what you get when you put two different kinds of semiconductor together. One has an excess of electrons, and the other has a lack of them, so when you put them together, the free electrons all jump from one side to the other. The resulting electric field creates a voltage (or "electrical potential") which depends on the temperature, the charge of the electron, and Boltzmann's Constant. At room temperature, it's about 25.9 millivolts, but it gets pretty hot here in South Florida, so I use 27.

As I said previously, the ones you all came up with were a lot more interesting (although I'm still not sure about Rusty Wallace).

Anyway, thanks for asking. Hope someone is still around to read this!

Like he says there's no Part 8 & 9 of Gary Troup Interviews: They just scripted 1-6! Didn't they think we'd go crazy over these "details"?

maven, I'm beginning to suspect your theory has more than a grain of truth: WV = ajnwwbgc

And--apologies. It was scoutpost's theory about how the more you post, the longer your WV's get, not maven's. Thanks, scoutpost (doh! -- asxwkedz)

Interesting work, Engineer27. At my lab I used to deconstruct/delayer semiconductors to find the fails. Things are getting smaller and smaller and harder to find and see! How you designers create those things always kept me in awe.

Sure JJ, come on over to TLC and blog there too! We are sort of straddling both blogs while TLE fizzles out (it's been a long fizzle actually) and waiting for the new season to begin. There is also "Stories of the Lost" to blog on as well. Find them both on the front page.

Yeah, Ryandrumz, I think that everyone is remembering what they used to do before TLE started! :-) I know that I used to surf the web doing a lot of art and science research, and it's been so long I can't even remember where I left off.

Just saw this in my morning paper: Iron Man: Robert Downey Jr. has been cast in the title role of "Iron Man"....

My heart skipped a beat remembering Rachel's true love! But then I read on....

"a film adaptation of the Marvel comic book about a superhero with a high-tech suit of armor."

Oh, well!
